I brought my small suitcase with me to the train and got into the 7th Year compartment. Severus sat in one of the front compartments to reduce suspicion. Once the train started moving, I pulled out my sketch pad and started a drawing. After those many hours in a small compartment, the train finally pulled into the station. I saw my mother outside who spotted me instantly. I stepped off the train with my things and walked over to her.

"Oh (Y/N), there you are! I was wondering when you'd show up." My mother hugged me.

Once she stepped back, she asked me,

"Where's Severus? I thought he was coming with you?"

"He is, but we decided to meet outside of the station." I replied.

She nodded in an understanding way as we made our way through the brick wall.

We made our way out of the station. I spotted Severus immediately, even though he didn't have his cloak on. He would stick out too much if he wore it.

"Mom." I said.

"Hm? Do you see him?" She asks me.

"Yeah, there." I pointed at Severus' back.

She looked shocked,

"That's Severus? Are you sure?" She asks me as we walk in his direction.

I tapped Severus' shoulder. He turned towards me and my mother abruptly. He regains his normal composure once he see's that it was just us.

"Hello again Severus! It's been quite a while since I've seen you." My mother gave him a smile.

"Indeed it has. Thank you for allowing me to stay with you this Christmas Mrs. (Y/L/N)." Severus gave a short smile, then went back to his normal resting face.

We talked a little bit on our way to my mothers car and then put our things in the back. Severus and I took a seat in the back and talked about our time at Hogwarts so far.

"So you're a Professor at Hogwarts now Severus? Congratulations!" My mother said as we were driving down a path that I recognized well.

"Yes, I had originally inquired Professor Dumbledore about the Defense Against the Dark Arts position, but was granted the position as Potions Master instead." Severus explained.

Not even I knew that Severus had been shooting for the DADA position. I didn't know he wanted to teach at all.

An hour later we pulled up to my house which was a little far from any other people. Once we stepped out of the car, Severus looked around the area, probably remembering old memories from the past. I heard a squeal come from the front door which caught everyone's attention.

"Sissy's home!" I hear a familiar voice say.

My little brother, (B/N) came running towards me. I picked him up once he stopped in front of me.

"I missed you, you little bugger." I said, tickling him.

He laughed loudly as I did so. I stopped and let him down to let him breath and looked over at Severus who looked extremely confused. I walked to the trunk to get my luggage out, Severus doing the same.

"I forgot to tell you that I had a brother. He was born after I had last seen you so you never met him." I explained.

"That seems to be quite a big detail to miss." I hear Severus reply.

"I know, I know. Let's just go inside now." I smiled.

He nodded and followed me to the front door. We walked inside the house and set our things to the side of the door. My mother called from the kitchen to say that dinner would be ready in a couple minutes. At that moment, I saw my dad walk out of his office and look over at us.

"Ah! Your home already! How have you been (Y/N)?" My father asked me as he encased me in a hug.

"Great!" I replied with a smile.

My father turned to Severus and said,

"Hello again Severus! It's been a while hasn't it?"

"I believe it has." Severus replied.

I swore I saw him scowl for a second there, but maybe it's just my eyes tricking me.

"How about I show you the guest room?" I told Severus.

Severus nodded slightly and turned towards our luggage. We then grabbed our things and made our way up the spiral staircase to the second floor. I made a right at the end of the hall into my room and set my things down next to my bed. Then, I brought Severus to the guest room across the hall.

"Many things have changed here since you last visited. Because of (B/N) and all. This used to be my dad's office, but he moved it downstairs so that he could focus instead of listening to (B/N) cry or laugh loudly." I explained as Severus set his suitcase on the bed.

I felt a tug at my jeans and looked down to my side to see (B/N)'s excited face.

"Vampie?" He asked as I picked him up to hold him on my hip.

I chuckled at Severus' reaction to (B/N)'s statement and spoke,

"No, no. That's Severus. He's a friend of mine. Not a Vampire."

(B/N) nodded. A couple seconds later, we heard my mothers voice call us down for dinner. (B/N) pushed my arm to let me know to set him down and then ran out of the room to go to my mother.

"What was that about?" I asked myself.

"No idea." Severus replies.

"That was rhetorical, Sev." I chuckled.

Severus rolled his eyes playfully in response.

I hadn't used his old nickname in a while. It felt nice to say for once.

"Why do you insist on using nicknames?" Severus asks me as he goes back to unpacking some things.

"I dunno. I just like to." I replied as I walked up behind him, hugging his back.

Severus stopped unpacking a turned around to look at me. I smiled at him as a thought came to mind,

"Hey Sev?"

"Yes?" He replied.

"Should we keep this.. relationship.. a secret for now?" I asked him as I let go of him.

I mean, we haven't really talked about it yet because it's only been two days since the Ball.

"I believe it would be best to, yes." He told me.

"Alright." I said before we both began making our way back downstairs and into the kitchen.

My father was already sitting at one end of the table with (B/N). I turned my attention to my mother who asked me to help her set some things on the table. Once everything was set out, I took my seat next to Severus on one side of the table. (B/N) sat across from us next to my father and my mother sat on one end of the table. While we ate, I explained to my parents all about the first Quidditch match. They were concerned, but told me how they also both got injured several times. Then I brought up the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

"And guess what else!" I started.

"What is it, honey?" My mother asked.

"I became one of three champions in the Tri-Wizard Tournament this year!" I finally told them.

Their eyes widened and smiles took over their faces.

"That's wonderful! But please be careful. We know how dangerous those tasks can be." My mother said.

"Of course I will. And I've actually already passed the first task!" I told them, showing them the dragon tooth.

"Tell us about it." My father sounded intrigued.

I told them all about the Sirens and Grindylows that I came across, but got a little nervous when I was about to tell them how Severus was the one I had to retrieve from underwater.

"Who was it you needed to find?" My father asked.

"Severus, actually." I said, trying not to sound nervous.

My father nodded in response, while my mother was focused on cutting up (B/N)'s food.

"Was the task fairly easy?" My mother inquired.

Severus and I exchanged glances.

"Yes, until the very end. Severus had given me Gillyweed to use during the first task, so I kept some extra in my pocket if I ever needed it throughout the competition. But when I needed it most, the champion from Durmstrang had taken it from me.." Severus looked at me with a 'wait what?' look. I forgot that he didn't know about the Durmstrang champion taking the Gillyweed.

"Did you make it to the surface in time?" My father asked me.

"Well. I kind of almost drowned, per-say?" I explained, causing both my parents to look at me with concerned faces.

"What do you mean? How did you get out?" They asked multiple questions, both of them with concerned expressions plastering their faces.

"Severus saved me. I had only made it far enough for Severus to make it to the surface, but then he dove back under to save me." I explained what I had been told.

"Oh thank you, Severus! It would have been dreadful to loose (Y/N) like that." My mother thanked Severus for almost a minute straight.

"I would not have let that occur." Severus reassured my parents.

Once dinner was over, my mother told (B/N) to clean up in the restroom. while she cleared the table. My father had to leave for work since he worked at night. He worked at the Ministry of Magic and would probably be back sometime in the morning. Severus and I stood up and made our way back upstairs. In the guest room, Severus finished unpacking his things while I sat on the bed next to his suitcase.

"Severus, why were you frowning earlier while we were talking to my dad?" I asked as he closed his suitcase.

He looked at me with a look of confusion,

"I don't believe I was."

"I guess I was just seeing things then." I said as I got off the bed.

Since I was bored, I decided to just give Severus a kiss on the cheek to see his reaction. But before I could see his reaction, I heard someone at the door.

"Eww!" I saw (B/N) giggling at the door.

He had a mischievous grin on his face and started running out the door. I jumped up from where I was sitting and tried to catch up to him. As I got through the doorway, I slipped and fell against the wall in the hallway. (B/N) stopped for a second to laugh. I swore I heard Severus chuckle as well. Scrambling to my feet, (B/N) realized he needed to keep running if he didn't want me to catch him. Luckily, I was quicker than him, because I grabbed him half way down the stairs and brought him back to the room. (B/N) was under my arm, struggling to get free as I closed the door. I set (B/N) down, who immediately tried to unlock the door. Severus was now sitting on the arm chair in the corner of the room, just watching my conversation with (B/N) unfold. I swear I saw an amused grin on his face for a second. I wacked his shoulder and saw his grin turn into one of annoyance. I laughed and turned back towards (B/N).

"(B/N)." I said with a stern voice to get his attention.

He turned to me and glared. Then, he walked over to Severus and changed the subject from what he saw before to something else.

"Sevus." He said, making grabby hands towards Severus.

Severus didn't move, still contemplating on what he should do. (B/N) didn't wait for a response, so he just climbed up on the seat to sit on Severus' lap. I tried to hold in a laugh from seeing Severus' 'why me?' face. (B/N) looked tired and yawned a little. He rested his head on Severus' shoulder, which almost made me aw out loud. Within a couple seconds, (B/N) fell asleep.

"This is too adorable." I grinned as I sat on the edge of the bed again.

"Why must be in this situation and not you?" Severus sighed, tilting his head at me slightly.

"I don't know. But it doesn't look like you're getting up anytime soon." I chuckled.

Severus groaned and looked away. I decided to go get ready for bed and then come back to say goodnight.

"I'm going to go get ready for bed. I'll be back in a bit." I said as I walked over to the door.

After I had changed and brushed my teeth, I walked back in the direction of the guest room. I peered inside and my heart melted. Severus fell asleep on the chair. My mother was walking down the hall and asked me where (B/N) went.

"Look." I replied quickly.

My mother looked around the frame of the door and placed a hand over her heart.

"Oh that is just adorable." My mother said.

I nodded in response.

"As much as I'd love to let (B/N) sleep there, I need to put him in his bed." My mother told me.

"Ok. I'll get (B/N) for you." I said as I walked over to them and picked (B/N) up off of Severus.

I made sure (B/N) didn't wake up and then handed him over to my mother. She began walking in the direction of (B/N)'s room and turned to say goodnight.

"Night mom." I said before she entered (B/N)'s room.

Looking back over at Severus, I noticed he was waking up. I walked over, sat on the edge of the arm chair and shook Severus' shoulder a bit.

"Are you sure sleeping in an arm chair is comfortable?" I teased as he opened his eyes to look in my direction.

He grunted and began to stand up.

"I'm going to bed now so I came back to say goodnight." I told him.

Severus looked at me and spoke,

"Goodnight then."

I smiled and gave him a quick kiss before walking to the door and replying,

"Night, Sevy."

"I'd rather you stick to the other, less nettlesome nickname." Severus rubbed his left eye as he said this.

"Not a chance." I grinned before walking in the direction of my room.
