《•°From Peer to Professor°• Severus Snape x Reader》Dancing with Dilemmas

It was just announced that the Yule Ball would be held next Saturday. This announcement has caused the schools main talk to be all about who was going to the dance with whom. It was also said that the champions will have a special dance in the beginning with whomever they bring. Big problem there. I don't know who to ask.
Right now, all Students are being led to the Great Hall for the first Dance Lesson. There will be Dance Lessons every Tuesday and Thursday during first period. Meaning, no flying class today. Darn. All the Girls were told to stand on one end of the hall and Boys were told to stand on the opposite. Personally I don't understand why we had to be paired with someone of the opposite gender. Why can't a girl dance with a girl or a boy dance with a boy if they wanted to?
The thought slipped from my mind as the hall became quieter.
The Professors who are going to be teaching us to Waltz are Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape. What's funny is that for their demonstration, Severus had to dance with Professor McGonagall. Many students chuckled and jokingly whistled at this. At the end of the demonstration, we were told to pair up. Someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned to see a brown haired, blue eyed Gryffindor boy.
"Care to dance?" He asked, bowing slightly in front of me.
I noticed Severus giving the boy a glare. He almost seemed jealous. In a way I kind of wanted to see how far I could go to make him a little jealous, but on the other hand the Hufflepuff in me says otherwise. I accepted the boy's offer walked with him to the middle of the room.
We all got into position to start dancing. The Gryffindor boy seemed decent at first, but then he ruined it all by putting his hand way to low on my waist for my taste. I pulled it up to my back and gave him a disapproving look.

"Ok, don't even start that with me. Either act decent or find another partner." I warned him.
"Ok, ok." He said.
We began to Waltz using the square step pattern. It wasn't too hard. Though I was tempted to 'accidentally' step on his foot. I ended up stepping on his foot once or twice during the lesson. He deserved it for what he pulled earlier. As we were dismissed to our next class, the Gryffindor boy stopped me.
"The name's Tyler Sanders." He told me with a smirk.
I warily replied,
"(Y/N)."
"See you next time." He said, trying to seem cool.
"I guess." I replied.
He began to leave for his next class. I made my way over to Lucas. We both headed to our second class, which was Herbology.
I was paired with Tyler again, being that I couldn't get another partner in time. I wished that I could have been paired with Lucas, being that he's my best friend and all, but he was grabbed almost immediately by another girl in our year. He didn't seem to pleased about that.
Tyler was still moving his hand too far down for my liking while we danced. I had to keep adjusting it. I could tell that Severus noticed my struggles, because he walked over immediately.
"Issues (Y/L/N)?" He intervened.
"No, I'm ok." I lied.
Severus gave me a look that let me know he knew about my problem with Tyler. The same stuff happened every other dance lesson until the final one. This guy doesn't give up does he?
As students began leaving for their next class, that Tyler kid came up to me.
"Hey, so (Y/N), I was wondering if you'd like to go to the ball with me." He asked me.

I could see Severus standing a little ways away, although I could tell he heard Tyler's question because he scowled a bit. I can imagine Severus saying, 'you can do better than this Gryffindor boy.' It made me smile to myself a bit.
"Sure, Tyler." I replied.
He grinned and as he was leaving for his next class he said,
"Wear something, nice."
That made my smile leave my face instantly. 'God does this kid really think people find that attractive!?'
"I believe he does Ms. (Y/L/N)." I hear from my right.
I jumped a little at Severus having snuck up on me and looked a bit confused.
"Did I say that out loud?" I began to blush a little.
"No, you did not." Severus replied.
"Then how did you-?" My sentence trailed off through my confusion.
"I am a trained Legilimens, so I suggest you keep thoughts of making one jealous away." Severus replied.
I looked at him with wide eyes and began blushing a bit more.
"I suggest you make your way to your next class Ms. (Y/L/N)." Severus informed me with what I thought was probably a small grin.
"(Y/N), you ready to go to Hogsmeade?" Lucas asked me just as we had left the Potions Classroom.
"Ready as I'll ever be!" I replied.
Once we got to Hogsmeade, we found a boutique and went inside. While I was looking for a dress to try on, Lucas came up to me.
"Hey, (Y/N)? Could I talk to you outside for a second?" Lucas asked me.
"Of course! What is it?" I ask as we step outside.
"It's about the dance. I haven't told anyone this, and I want you to be the first to know." He began.
Lucas looked very anxious.
"Hey, you can tell me anything." I reassured him with a smile.
"Ok, so the thing is.. I'm planning on asking Alex to the Ball. But I'm starting to have second thoughts." Lucas finally told me.
"I think you should go for it! If he says no then at least you know and don't have to worry about it anymore." I replied.
"You're right, (Y/N). I would feel better knowing if he does or doesn't feel the same about me." He said before we walked back into the boutique.
Once inside, I picked out multiple dresses before I found the one. It was a sleeveless, floor length, emerald green dress with whispy details on the bodice. I stepped out from behind the curtain and showed Lucas the dress.
"Whoa. You look stunning (Y/N)!" Lucas said, admiring the dress.
"Thanks Lucas! Hey, have you picked out a suit yet?" I asked.
"Yep, it's this pair of black dress pants and vest. Along with a dark blue dress shirt." He showed me the suit he had already purchased without me knowing.
"It looks so nice, especially with the blue." I smiled at it.
We picked out some shoes and I payed for my things before we left for Hogwarts.

But who can erase what is already written! Destiny created man and Jodha's destiny was attached to the Mughal Empire. This is the story of Princess Jodha of Amber and her husband, the Emperor of Hindustan, Jalal-uddin Muhammad Akbar.~A LITTLE BACKDROP TO THE HISTORICAL ACCURACY OF THE STORY:*This story is fictional. Emperor Akbar did rule India from 1556 to 1605 but he did never marry a woman named Jodha. His first Rajput wife and mother of his heir was Harkha Bai from Amber. In eighteenth century, a British official messed her name up when he first mentioned her as Jodha and then the name became even more popular because of mainstream media. This story does not intend to hurt any religious sentiments, it uses the name Jodha however because common people today know of Emperor Akbar's chief Rajput wife as Jodha Bai*Highest Ranking#1 in Jodha - August 6, '21#1 in Akbar - October 16, '21#1 in 16th - October 16, '21#1 in Jalal - November 14, '21#1 in Mughal - November 14, '21#2 in India - November 14, '21#1 in Princess - December 17, '21#1 in Historical Fiction - December 22, '21#4 in Century - January 5, '22#1 in Empress - May 17, '22
