《The Half Lord {Severus Snape x Reader}》Diagon Ally and Too Many Letters

Making sure the skin patch was still firmly secured on top of your mark, you took Severus' hand and the two of you quickly apparated to your house, dropping your stuff off on the porch, and then apparating to Diagon Ally.
Surprisingly, once you had arrived, Severus didn't let go of your hand but seemed to loosen up a bit.
"Is there anything else you need while we're in Diagon Ally?" You asked as the two of you entered the shop to buy more potion ingredients.
"No, although if you want you can walk around, you don't need to stay with me the whole time if you don't want to."
"Well, it wouldn't kill me to look for a pair of shoes that aren't boots." You look down at your feet which are clad in your tall boots from the night before.
"I'll meet you in front of Ollivanders in an hour."
"See you later, Severus." Exiting the shop, you quickly walked to the nearest shop that sold shoes, tired of wearing boots and shorts.
"Hello, Welcome, how may I help you today?" A clerk at the desk asked when you entered.
"I'm just looking for another pair of shoes, preferably not boots." You gestured to your feet.
"Ah, yes. Right this way." The clerk led you to a whole section on the left side of the store where there were sneakers and a section of flip flops.
"Thanks." You paused as you browsed the sneakers and such and stopped at a certain pair of shoes that were your size, but not the right color. "Say, do you happen to have these in black?"
"The Toms? Yes actually, in this size?"
"Yes, thank you." You handed the clerk- who's name was Daniel- the Toms and watched as he dissapeared and reappeared with the shoes you found and an identical pair in black.

"Thank you so much, Daniel." You said after he handed you the shoes and you paid.
You took off your boots and stuck them inside the bag and put your new shoes on your feet, relieved that your legs were free from the boots.
Since you still had about 45 minutes left, you tried to find another interesting store to browse when you passed Severus, cracking a smile as you walked by.
~in front of Ollivanders 45 minutes later~
"Ready for me to drop you off, (f/n)?"
"I suppose." In all honesty, you wished you could stay longer but you knew since it was nearly noon, Remus would be going insane.
Severus wrapped his arms around you and apparated to the front of St.Raven.
"I had a great time with you, Severus."
"I'll see you soon, (f/n)."
Before Severus apparated away you pecked him on the cheek and waved.
You heard the door close only seconds after Snape left. "Where. Have. You. Been? I have been bombarded with letters from someone named 'Bosco' allllllll morning!"
Turning to face the voice, you sighed. "I'm sorry, Remus. My well, date if you'd call it that thought it was too late at night for me to be riding home, so I spent the night as his place."
"Just, come in, more and more owls keep showing up from Bosco with letters for you."
"Mein Gott." You sighed as you walked into your home to be welcomed to a pile of letters that were up to your knees sitting in the corner.
"See what I mean?"
"Well........ Looks like I have plenty of fan mail to open, eh Remus?"
"You do that." Lupin left to go to his room, leaving you with the pile of letters.

~1 hour later~
You had read through at least half of the letters and most of them contained the same message: 'please don't hate me, please don't hate me,' written over and over again on the parchment.
"How does one person find so much time and parchment to write that many letters?" You asked yourself.
Finally, after reading all letters but one, you opened it with paper-cut fingers. This one wasn't from Bosco, it only had your name on the envelope and it was sealed with a black letter 'M'.
Dearest, (f/n)
I wish to congratulate you on the success of your newly acquired job and would like to invite you to the Manor for dinner one day.
Narcissa and I would also like to ask you some questions about the security of Hogwarts because our son, Draco, will be attending in two years
Please respond soon if you can come.
Sincerely,
Lucius Malfoy
"So are you planning on coming, Miss. (L/n)?"
Your head snapped up to meet the eyes of Lucius Malfoy towering above you.
"I- how- yes, when exactly do I need to come over?"
"Next week, 5:30 pm, Malfoy Manor. I will see you soon." As he turned to walk away he seemed to almost smirk as he strutted away.
Why was he in my house? And how did he know I was reading the letter?
You sat on the couch with a sigh. Time to talk to Bosco.
Getting your quil and a piece of parchment, you started writing your letter.
Bosco,
I have gotten all of your letters and read each and every one. Firstly- how did you manage to write all of those? And secondly- why so many?
I understand how you feel and would wish to invite you over to talk tomorrow evening around 6:00.
Sincerely,
(F/n) (l/n)
Head of Hogwarts Security
You signed it off and sealed it in its envelope, handing it to your owl to deliver.
Now, you wait.
And wait.
And wait.
It starts getting late and you were still sitting on your couch, staring at the letter Lucius sent. Why did he care about your job anyhow? He has a life of his own.
"You should sleep, (f/n). It's getting late." Remus said.
"Where did the day go? Are all summer going to be like this? Short but sweet?"
"I'm afraid so, off to bed now, you have a busy day tomorrow."
You got up from your sitting position and sulked to your bedroom.
"Who was your date anyways, I never got to find out." Lupin asked.
You considered your answers for a moment. You could either say that it was Severus and possibly have Moony flip. Or you could tell him that you never found out.
"I don't know, he kept his mask on the entire time and I went to sleep before him."
"Whatever you say, (f/n). Goodnight." Remus- regardless of your age- tucked you in and exited your room. (And no, you didn't change, you were comfortable)
Once you were nearly asleep is when you heard the crash.

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.
