《The Half Lord {Severus Snape x Reader}》Welcome to the Masquerade

It was the day of the masquerade ball and Remus was running back and forth trying to make sure you would be ready in time.
"Remus, it's only 12:00, the ball isn't until later."
"Yes, but we need to get your dress and do your make up and your hair and-"
"Moony, I've got this, you shouldn't stress over it."
"I know, but this is the first time you've been to a dance and I want it to be perfect."
"Alright, if you really want to help, you can come with me to get the dress, it should be ready by now."
"Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!" Lupin hopped up and down and clapped cheerily.
You both apparated to the front of the tailor shop, mask in hand, you entered and heard the familiar chime of the bell overhead.
"Hello Ellen, how are you today?"
"Wonderful, who's this you've brought with you, (f/n)?"
"This is my friend, Remus."
"We're here to pick up (f/n)'s dress." He said.
"Ah, yes. Do you have the mask?"
Handing her the mask, she hurried to the back of the shop, searching through dresses until she stopped at a jet black dress. She pulled it off the rack and brought it so you could see. (The dress above :3 )
"It's amazing, thank you so much, Ellen!"
"It was a pleasure, dear."
You accepted the dress and mask and held them up to yourself.
"What do you think, Remus?"
"I think you're going to be the most gorgeous person at the ball, (f/n)."
"Aww, shucks." You blushed a light pink.
"Come along now, you need time to get your hair done as well as your make up."
Handing Ellen some galleons as a tip, the two of you exited the shop, covering the dress in a light, black cloth to hide it from whoever may be going to the ball that night.

Apparating back to St. Raven, you set the dress down flat across the top of the couch and observed the mask, Ellen made you a raven.
~one hour before the ball~
You had the dress on with your boots, which made you an inch or two taller, and your mask on your face. Your hair and make up already done.
Your (h/c) hair was done in a French braid down the center and you had mascara, black eyeshadow, as well as some light blush and lipstick.
"You look amazing, (f/n)!"
"Thanks, Remus." You happened to look down at your dress and noticed that the mark on your collar bone was showing. "Moony! We've gotta cover the mark up with something!" You hurried upstairs to your study and opened and emergency kit, pulling out an artificial skin patch and stuck it over the mark, just covering it, and you blended it in with some foundation.
"That was close, good thing you didn't show up without covering it or else people would've known." Remus said.
"Now we can wait about 45 minutes and then we can just ride my broom over."
"What do you mean by 'we'?"
"I only assumed that you'd want to escort me over since you were so excited."
"Yes! Of course! It would be a pleasure!"
"So now we wait."
"Ooh! Now I can dress up to take you over!"
~45 minutes later~
Remus had dressed up in some olive green robes and a suit that matched that looked quite nice on him, he mounted your broom and held out his hand to you. Taking it, you hopped on behind him and held on as Lupin floated above the ground and took off towards Hogwarts.
You got there right on the hour and got off the broom, with the assistance of your chauffeur.

"Have a great time, do you want me to pick you up?"
"I'll contact you when it's time, thank you so much, Moony. You've made my day great." You gave him a quick hug and said goodbye before heading into the Great Hall.
When you walked in, all the tables except the staff table had been cleared and it was decorated extremely fancy, with a full on buffet on the staff table. Music played in the background as people entered and stood, waiting for the announcement.
You watched as a man in a Slytherin green vest and tie entered and he was also wearing a black button up shirt and black pants, his mask, one that resembled snakes scales that shone green and aqua blue.
"Now, before we begin, you must find a partner for the opening dance." A Pheonix said from the headmasters podium. You could tell it was Dumbledore.
The snake man walked up to you and offered his hand, you accepted it.
Getting in the position Remus taught you, the first song started. (Little Toy Guns: Carrie Underwood)
The snake man was a good dancer, thank goodness for that, you could've ended up with the bluejay that was clearly Flitwick and have him stepping on your feet.
You noticed the Pheonix (Dumbledore) took a cat on the dance floor, the cat you assumed was McGonagall.
"So, Miss. Raven, how has your evening been." The snake man asked. You recognized that deep, velvety voice anywhere. You were dancing with Severus.
"Quite great, how about yours, Mr. Snake man?"
"I'm looking for someone, but I haven't got a clue as to what she is."
"Who are you looking for?"
"I know it's rude to leave someone you're dancing with but I'm looking for Miss (l/n)."
You decided to not leave him hanging, since you already knew who he was.
"Seems like you're in the right place then, Snake man."
"You look lovely, Miss. Raven."
"You look quite dapper yourself." You pulled your face by his ear. "Severus." Backing away, you acted like nothing happened.
Severus smirked.
"You have good observation skills, I suppose that's why you have your job."
The two of you danced for what seemed like an hour before you went to get refreshments.
You both walked side by side along the buffet, picking out foods and putting them on your plates.
~later, during the last song~
Most people has already left and it was only you, Severus, Dumbledore, McGonagall, Flitwick, and Sprout left. The last song started (Magic Works: The Weird Sisters).
"(F/n)." Severus asked afterwards.
"Yes?"
"I have something I wanted to give you, that's why I asked where you were earlier." He pulled out a bouquet of blood pops.
You accepted them and gave him a hug, nearly taking the breath out of him.
"You're....... Welcome."
Letting go, you walked hand in hand outside in the courtyard.
"It's far too late for a lady to be going home on her own. It's 10:00."
"True. I've had a wonderful time with you Severus."
"Do you want to stay with me tonight and go home in the morning, I don't want anything to happen to you."
"If you insist." Severus got on his broom and helped you up behind him.
As you took off, you didn't know that the Pheonix named Dumbledore was watching with the cat McGonagall below.
"Think they'll be a couple?" Dumbledore asked.
"I wouldn't count on it, Severus isn't the one you'd see loving someone."
"I bet you 10 galleons that they become a thing by the end of next year."
"Fine. I bet they don't."
