《The Half Lord {Severus Snape x Reader}》Letters to Moony
Advertisement
You slumped in your desk chair and plopped the letter down in front of you with a sigh.
No more stalling. I'm sending this letter.
You got up, seizing the letter and you dashed to the owlery.
~when you got there~
You found your owl and gave it the letter.
"Send this to Moony. Wherever he may be." With that, the owl flew off and you watched it until it dissapeared .
"Communicating with someone?" A familiar velvety voice asked.
"It's none of your business." You turned to face him.
"Very well." He walked further down the owlery and you left, not wanting to be involved with Snape.
Returning to your office, you packed up your ink and quil as well as the book you were reading, and exited, locking the office door before leaving.
I'm going shopping tomorrow. You thought as you were making the long trek home to Hogsmede.
Once you made it home, you set down your belongings and hung up your robe, undoing the buttons on the vest.
After dinner and taking a shower, you changed into a set of comfortable pajamas and looked in the mirror.
Your face turned from one of calm to one of angry shock when your hair was neon blue.
"I'll bet it was Severus!" You hissed at your reflection.
"Surprise, surprise, always blaming me."
You turned and Snape walked out from your closet.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Making my hair BLUE. And hiding in my closet!!" He simply rolled his eyes and brushed it off like it was no big deal.
Writing something down on a piece of parchment, he bowed and apparated
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME? MY HAIR IS GOING TO BE BLUE FOR WEEKS!!"
You sat on your bed and set your wand on the nightstand and pulled the covers over yourself.
At least I did something productive today... You were thinking of the letter you sent Moony, but you weren't sure that he would even respond.
Falling into a light sleep, you were awoken about an hour or two by a tapping on your round window.

You groggily stood up and opened it, your owl flying inside with a letter.
Taking it, you opened it, seeing that it was titled to you.
Dear, (l/n)
I saw you in the Daily Prophet yesterday and hoped that you were doing alright.
I am alive, and well, I've moved into a small apartment in a nearby town, it's quite nice, although I do miss Hogsmede. Maybe someday you can visit!
Congratulations on getting the head of security job, I'm proud, I'm also proud of you graduating before the end of your first year!
I hope we can see each other again soon.
Your friend, Moony
You smiled, he responded!
Putting the letter down and thanking your owl with a bowl with some mice, you layed back down, feeling better and not waking up again until the morning.
~morning~
Getting up, you got changed, scowling at your now neon blue hair in the mirror.
You had on the same outfit from the day before except you wore a deep blue tie, to go with your hair.
Looking at the calendar and flipping over a page or two, it showed you what day it was- Saturday, January 9th.
There was some small writing underneath the number and you squinted to see it.
Severus Snape's birthday.
Your jaw dropped in shock, today was his birthday? You never knew.
With a smirk, you grabbed your bag and headed out to do some shopping in Diagon Ally.
~at Diagon Ally~
You walked into the broom shop, taking in the aura and gazing at some of the brooms.
Looking at a broom on display, you instantly thought it was perfect.
It was an Inline Bandit, the most amazing broom you'd ever seen. It was one of the fastest brooms around at the moment.
You grabbed one off the shelf and checked out. Heading off to a bakery nearby.
The door opened with the ring of a small bell as you entered and walked up to the counter.
"I'm going to need a chocolate cake about yey big." You made a square with your hands that made a cake with about four servings. "With vanilla icing and the words 'Happy Birthday' on it in blue letters."

The woman at the counter wrote it all down and you payed, wandering until it was finished.
~after you picked up the cake and went back to your house~
Giving the box containing the cake to your owl, you told it where to go and it flew out the window.
You hoped that Severus didn't know what your owl looked like.
~Owl~
The owl pecked on the window until an irritated Snape opened it and gently took the box, staring at the owl before closing the window again.
~back to you~
"Tomorrow, I'm trying out this broom." You said as you propped it against the wall and started to prepare lunch.
~Severus POV~
Why did she send me a cake?
I set it down on a plate and sat, staring at it.
Is this some kind of joke? A birthday cake ?
I grabbed a fork from the kitchen and took a bite of the cake.
Chocolate, with vanilla icing.
How does she know that this is my favorite?
I never celebrated my birthday, it was only a day.
29 I chuckled slightly I'm getting old.
Taking a few more bites of the cake, I put a cover over the top with the fork inside.
Blue letters. Reminding me of her hair. I do admit that it may have been rude, but it was part of my research.
~back to you~
You ate lunch and were bored so you got up, and turned on some of the mortal music.
It started with the song "I don't feel like dancin'" by the Scissor Sisters.
You started to sing along and really got into it until you heard a knock at your front door.
Quickly turning off the music, you swiftly walked to the door, robe billowing behind you.
Opening it, you were happier. It was Asher and Bosco. Although they stared at your head for a while, they eventually came in and you all sat on the couch.
"How's it going?" You asked, trying to start a conversation.
"Good, good." Bosco replied.
"Why is your hair blue?" Asher asked.
"Snape."
They looked at you, tilting their heads in confusion.
Sighing you explained how you took a shower and when you got out, your hair was blue and Snape walked out from the closet.
"He's a creep." Bosco said.
"I got a broom, wanna see it?" You asked, wanting to change the subject.
"Sure!" The two boys said in unison as you stood and retrieved your Inline Bandit.
"Woah! Is that what I think it is?" Bosco asked, astonished.
"Yep, an Inline Bandit, I'm gonna go for a test run tomorrow when I go and meet a friend of mine. Speaking of which, I should write him back."
Asher checked the time and nudged Bosco. "B, we've gotta go do the thing, remember?"
"Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. We've gotta go, see you later, (f/n)!" Bosco said as Asher was dragging him out the door.
You smiled as you inspected your new broom. It was only 12:30.
Putting the broom back into its place, you went to your study upstairs to write another letter to Moony.
Dear, Moony
I was wondering if I could come over tomorrow since I want to test out my new broom.
Fair warning: Professor Snape turned my hair blue and I don't know when it'll be (h/c) again.
Great to know that you're doing good,
(L/n)
Sealing the letter in the envelope, your owl flew out the window to deliver it.
~45 minutes later~
Your owl had returned, pecking your window to get your attention.
Retrieving the letter from its talons, you opened it.
Dear, (l/n)
It would be wonderful if you could come over, my house is the light blue one on Gringotts lane. The towns name is Grace. Grace town. Great name if you ask me.
I hope you get payback on that old git Snape! He messed with the wrong person!
Until tomorrow,
Moony
With a grin spreading from ear to ear, you turned the music back on with the flick of your wand and were singing around the house once again until the sun went down.

The Eldritch Horror Returns to Earth, but Things are a Bit Different
One day, Adam B. Windsley was in this world, and then, he wasn't. Suddenly trasported into a strange world called Lutum, Adam finds himself in the body of a small, unassuming slug, and during the course of 600 years, he evolved beyond the scope of humans, becoming one of the Five Evil Gods, worshipped by his followers and treated as a God would. But he isn't happy. And after some time reaquainting himself with humans, he finds himself enjoying their company. But, in a sudden twist of events, he finds himself back in his own world. But he is still a giant tentacle-covered monstoristy. And where did these magical girls come from?... --------- In short, this is a story focusing on a somewhat edgy reincarnated-as-a-monster kind of guy who returned back to his world on the day of his transferral, only for strange, unusual things to happen. Monsters from his past world start popping up out of the blue, and ordinary people are suddenly learning of sorcery, becoming magical girls in the process. In terms of structure, it will mostly be about what happens to Adam after coming back, but at times, there will also be chapters focusing on Adam's life before his transferred, in chronological order. In other words, very typical isekai stuff. The chapters will be between 2000 and god-only-knows-how-many words and will be released every three days at 8 am, CST. I don't actually live in America so if chapter release is off by an hour or so, it's probably either because I messed up with the time, or because I was unable to finish a chapter on time-, The artwork on the cover belongs to yours truly, I drew it myself and I'm darn tootin' proud of it, and Omni is my dear co-writer who got me this far. Couldn't do it without him! With that said, I do hope you enjoy, as I did put way too much effort into it... Enjoy!

A Prose of Years
For decades, spiritualist Evert Kallstrom and his team have joined in humanity’s millennia-long fight against the beasts. Wielding their weapons and their ki, they fought and killed these great threats to civilization. And yet, despite their efforts, humanity was losing traction in the war. In the last fifty years alone, more cities had been overrun than in all of known history. While most thought the great beasts natural, a few knew the terrible truth. They were the product of a dark lord, who desired neither fame nor wealth nor power. Instead, his sole purpose was the genocide of humanity. While their peers dithered, a small faction of the strongest mankind had to offer—including Evert Kallstrom and his team—set out towards the Deadlands to find and confront this dark lord. After weeks of travel, twenty-one spiritualists found themselves approaching an ancient fortress wherein rested a being known only as the Eastern Guardian. All they found was death. But death has other plans for Evert. Evert bolts awake in his 16 year old body near his hometown, decades in the past. He is confused, poor and weak. But with grit, sweat, and years of experience, he won't let the future repeat itself. That level of strength won't be enough by itself (it wasn’t last time) and victory is hardly assured (he’ll need to reach farther and higher than he ever did), but Evert refuses to squander a second chance. [Other tags: First Person POV, Hard Magic, Faulty Memory] Volume 1 is complete and has been fully released. My current intention is not to write any sequel volumes. That said, I have also released appendices (SPOILERS) that cover the worldbuilding and future story-that-never-was. Comments suggesting fixes for grammar, misspellings, etc. appreciated. Note: If you came here from Candlelit Lives, these stories have nothing in common.
