《The Half Lord {Severus Snape x Reader}》Head of security

Waking up the next day, the package containing your uniform was there, as promised.
Yawning, you unwrapped the parcel to reveal a note, picking it up, you peeled it open and read the letter inside.
Dear, (f/n)
In this package contains your uniform, as promised.
From now on you will be sitting at the staff table in between Severus and I, you will also eventually get your own office, but for now you'll be using the empty classroom by the DADA room.
You will have the ability to deduct or add points to the houses, remind yourself to not get carried away with that.
You also have the ability to give students detention, remember, even if you don't like them, doesn't mean you give them detention for breathing.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me and I will do my best to answer.
With regards,
Albus Dumbledore
Hogwarts Headmaster
Taking the uniform out of the parcel, you examined it in awe.
It was a dark (f/c) vest that had a badge on the breast pocket that had the Hogwarts logo on it with the words 'to serve and protect, keeping the peace' underneath it.
In addition, there was a black cloak (same as Snape's) and a nice pair of leather boots that almost went up to your knees.
The final item inside was a bracelet made of copper that had the Hogwarts logo on it.
You took the articles of clothing and got changed in the bathroom, grabbing your old wand holster out from the depths of your closet and strapping it to your thigh, putting your wand in with the handle sticking out.
Putting your new boots on, you straightened the buttons on the black button up shirt you wore underneath the vest with a maroon tie, and headed off to your first day of working at Hogwarts as head of security.

~breakfast~
Dumbledore stood up beside you, getting the students attention.
"Now, we have a new addition to our staff. But she is not a Professor. This is (f/n) (l/n), and she is our new head of security. I'm sure that with her around this school will be even safer, with her extended knowledge."
You got up and bowed, giving a smile to the students, who were gawking at the fact that a first year could go from student to head of security within a few months.
After you sat back down, Dumbledore continued to give his speech.
"I am sure that (l/n) will be a great head of security, that is all." Dumbledore sat and held his closed hand in your direction, you opened your palm under his fist and he handed you one of those earpieces that was completely magic and was wireless.
Sticking it in your ear, you began to eat breakfast, glancing over at the Hufflepuff house table, you noticed Asher and Bosco glancing between you and each other in shock.
You ended up finishing before everyone else and decided to patrol the halls.
Excusing yourself, you left through the staff door and wandered, soon having Asher and Bosco walking next to you.
"Hello, you two, I hope you haven't been causing trouble."
"How are you head of security?" Bosco asked.
"Didn't you see the Daily Prophet yesterday?" You replied.
"No, I didn't, did something happen that somehow landed you the job?" Asher added.
"I just got into a bit of a chase, may have gotten shot in the shoulder, but it feels fine now, I've been told that I heal abnormally fast."
"That was you on the front cover?" They both asked you in unison.
"Yeah."
Right then, it was time to go to the first classes.

"You two had better go, before you're late."
Waving your goodbyes, the two left for their class as you made sure that there weren't any stragglers or class skippers around. Finding none, you headed over to area by the Whomping Willow and sat on the edge of the walkway.
You sighed, twirling your wand in your fingers.
You started singing to yourself, knowing nobody was around to hear.
With another sigh, you stood and turned, immediately seeing Snape, right in your face.
Backing up a few steps with your cheeks turning a light pink Snape raised an eyebrow.
"H-how long have you been standing there?"
"The entire time."
"Why? Are you spying on me?"
He sneered. "What are you doing out here?"
"Waiting for my next duties, and what are you doing?"
"This is my planning time."
Lame excuse...
After a minute of silence, the Professor turned and left, leaving you alone once again.
This time, instead of singing, you whistled the tune of "Pretty Women" from Sweeney Todd.
~Snape's POV~ ((something new~))
(F/n) had a wonderful singing voice, I wonder why she was embarrassed.
I walked down the many corridors and staircases until I finally made it back to my classroom.
Taking in the scent, I sat at my desk and started to grade the papers of all my dunderhead students, why couldn't they be as smart as (f/n)? That would make my life much easier... Sort of.
~back to you~
Every once in a while you would run into Asher and Bosco, but other then that, and making sure everything was fine, your day was filled with singing, humming, and whistling to yourself as you paced the corridors.
Right when you thought that you would have a problem free first day, a voice seemed to whisper in your ear.
"We may need some assistance in the potions room getting students escorted out." An unfamiliar voice suggested.
Taking off at a run, your headed to the potions room, when you arrived, you tried to open the door, but it was locked. You readied your wand.
"Alohomora!" The door unlocked and you swung it open, immediately getting swarmed by students trying to get out and escape from a fire that had started under one of the cauldrons.
You calmly sauntered in the now empty classroom and looked down at the fire, putting it out with magic.
"How come you couldn't handle this?" You asked the only person left in the room.
"I wanted to test our new security.... To see if it was, working properly." Snape said in a semi sarcastic tone.
"Don't do it again, got it?" You said, turning to him.
He raised an eyebrow, trying to taunt you, but you merely exited the classroom and headed off to your part time "office."
Sitting down, you scowled.
"What does he think he's doing? You don't test security."
Pulling out your quil, you started writing on a piece of parchment, although you hadn't done this in a while, you thought it was worth a shot.
Dear, my friend Moony
I wanted to write to you to ask how you've been.
I know it's been a while, but I started school at Hogwarts and got so busy, I hadn't had the time to write again.
I do hope that you're alive and well.
Your friend from the lake,
(L/n)
With a sigh, you placed the quil back in the ink container and folded the letter you would probably put with the rest, putting it in an envelope and sealing it with black wax, you dated it and put the name Moony on it.
One day, I'll see you again, Moony. I'm sure of it...
