《When The Heart Lies | ✓》[29]

I am still deeply in love with Shrey.

The words kept ringing in her mind repeatedly. But she still couldn't believe it. Her heart was thumping loud as she tried to accept each word she had heard. Yet Pihu felt like she was hallucinating.

"She can't be. . ." whispering to herself, she kept roaming from here and there.

When Sakshi was in front of her, Pihu didn't want to ask her questions. Not that Sakshi had left anything to get asked. She had explained briefly how her heart still called out for Shrey.

Pihu closed her eyes, shaking her head. It was stressing her hard how the unexpected happened. Here the whole family was keen on taking decision for her but already, her heart had decided something different.

"All these years, I tried to fight my love. But he is everywhere. In my dreams. In my wishes. In the vision I create for my future. I am not able to get over him and I don't want to."

Remembering her words spoken with each sob, tears filled Pihu's eyes. How cruel Sakshi's heart could be? How stubborn she herself was?

It had been more than three years. That tragedy happened when she was a little girl. Pihu put finger on her lips, trying to comprehend how could her first love be so strong for Shrey. So true for him.

They all were trying to ask her wish, to settle her up with Kabir or any other person of her choice. But now, Pihu understood very well. Why she never heard it from Sakshi in these three years ever? Why she never had a boyfriend?

I feel like I haven't met the perfect one for me yet, Bhabhi.

Pihu sighed heavily, calming herself. It was her helplessness that she couldn't stop Sakshi. But she had to be as close to her as she could. What if she was just stubborn or was stalking Shrey all these years? What if she was in contact with him any how?

Pihu gasped remembering about his case. What if it was true?

"Oh, God."

Immediately, two arms snaked around her waist. On her shoulder, rested a chin while a nose was pushing into the crook of her neck. Pihu swallowed while clutching her husband's hands.

"How did it go?" She asked softly.

Raghav gave her a light kiss on neck. "Smooth. I told the Bhatia's to slow it down. There was no need to call Kabir's parents all the way from Kerala or anything. Right now, our girl is not even aware of Kabir's traits or there is no bonding."

"Let my sister imagine, how she would be living with a sincere man like Kabir. She will herself come up to accept this offer," he smiled. "Mom is happy too. But I know that she really can't wait for it to happen."

I don't even think it would happen, Pihu thought sadly. She breathed in his arms and felt him grunting slowly.

"Where's my descendant? My Prince?" Raghav looked around and twitched his lips at seeing Riaan sleeping peacefully in the crib.

"He missed you. After eating, it took me time to talk sweet things like you and make him sleep. He kept asking about you," Pihu said while turning around and crossing arms across her chest.

Raghav smiled sadly. "My baby." He removed his shirt slowly, smirking when Pihu came forward to open his buttons herself. "You know, it's all because of Sakshi's maternal family. They are hell bent on getting her married. I mean I know they love her but sometimes, I think they just want to fill their distant relatives or friend's son by getting her married."

Pihu lowered her eyes and removed his shirt slowly. "I know. But mom can just deny them. Here, she has her own son-in-law interest."

Raghav chuckled while reaching her, holding her waist. "I have put a comma on this Sakshi-Kabir thing. Mom won't talk about it anymore. But what happened to you? Why your face is swollen?"

Pihu looked away from him, pouting while still thinking about Sakshi. How much she wanted to share her thoughts with Raghav yet she couldn't. She knew how sensitive it could be for brothers to talk about their sister's love life. That even to a possessive brother like Raghav.

She was sure, he would not even hear anymore and start scolding and threatening Sakshi on the phone. Not that he had ever done like this before. But his character and behavior spoke for him.

Pihu bit her lip thinking that sometimes Raghav had understood things calmly than she had ever expected. But still this was a sensitive topic. It would be signing up for a new trouble if she would tell him about this.

She couldn't. She would have to talk to Sakshi by herself any soon.

"Hey! What happened?" Raghav cupped her cheeks and stared at her.

Pihu sighed while looking up at him, shying away from seeing so much love in his eyes. "It's nothing. I am just not happy with you talking about other things. I want you to talk about us."

His eyebrow raised as he pinched her waist and pulling her closer. "You know what will we come up to if we talk about us," he winked.

Pihu smiled softly and removed his hand off her waist, backing away towards the bed. "Not really. You can explain better than that."

Removing his trouser, Raghav walked towards the bed. "Oh I'll directly show you, baby."

Pihu giggled as he crawled over her, stealing a passionate kiss from her. Pulling away, she breathed and stared in his dark eyes. "Do you remember for the first time when you had realized that you love me?

Raghav stopped moving and stared at her in shock. Watching her chocolate eyes filled with curiousity, he smiled. "What are you up to?"

Pihu gave him a sweet smile, shaking her head. Moving her hands on his bare chest, she bit her lip. "Just wondering."

Raghav sighed while kissing her forehead, laying beside her. His hand went behind his head while other held her close to himself. He shook his head.

"I just know that I couldn't stop thinking about you."

Pihu blushed immediately, staring at the ceiling while listening him carefully.

"Your face had consumed my mind. Your eyes were what I would always see in my sleep. I was getting crazy. I started staying quiet and lost, thinking about you. Dreaming about you." He told her, slowly.

Pihu moved in his arms, snuggling more to him. Raghav's hand moved on her silly skyblue nightdress. He hummed peacefully.

"It used to hurt here in my chest when I used to see you laughing with Ayaan. I had started stalking you to school, to college. That's when I started realizing what I had started doing. These were the side affects of being in love with you. The real disease was inside my head."

He smirked while glancing at her. "To marry you. I was crazy about having sex with you."

Pihu opened her mouth in shock and immediately got up from his arms. She stared at him in shock and he laughed heartily.

"Come on, you know how much I was crazy in love with you. Will these jokes change anything?"

"I hate you," whisper-yelled Pihu while hitting him on chest.

"Oww." Raghav rubbed his chest while holding her hand. "If you want to know everything, Ask Nakul. I am sure he remembers how I used to behave." He too sat up and saw her calming down. "How I behave. Before and after wedding."

"Because you are still my first love, Pihu. You are only made for me. Just me," he whispered, making her roll her eyes but ending up smiling shyly.

Pihu stared at him while pretending to think. "But it is not always necessary that you get your first love. You are lucky."

Raghav breathed out slowly. "I am and you are, equally."

Pihu rolled her eyes and sighed. "Think about those who don't get their first love. Some ends up marrying strangers. Some ends up getting heartbroken because the one they fell for did not love them back."

Raghav clicked his tongue, moving his face closer to hers.

"Love is a game, Pihu."

Pihu raised her eyebrows but kept quiet at seeing his passionate eyes holding love for her.

"Sometimes there can be many players. Sometimes there's just one. It's all about luck." He spoke with a chuckle. "But only the great player gets lucky."

"If you have the heart to love that someone, then prove them. Fight for them. Fight for your love. If destiny is not written well, then you write your own destiny," he whispered slowly, shuddering her to the core.

"You hated me and my guts. But in the end, I fought for our love. I fought for you. I wrote my destiny by getting us married and was hell bent on making it work. In the end. . ."

"You got lucky," Pihu flared her nostrils while hitting him again, making him laugh. "You are so self-obsessed. You think it is easy. It is not easy to fight the society and. . ." She looked away.

"You were rich and cocky. Clever. You trapped my daddy with your love and it happened."

"It was so true that you fell for me hard and I won. I took my bride away," he leaned for a kiss but Pihu pushed him away, making him sigh.

Pihu shook her head and discussed, "This is not easy for everyone. Some are not rich. Some are just too shy to react or make it work. Some are helpless. Some has tough competitors. Some has the person in their heart, very sweet. Like I was. I am. If it weren't my sweet self, your tactics wouldn't have worked."

"If there had been someone egoistic woman, she would have wrapped you around her finger, used you and would have thrown you away." She told while pointing her finger at him.

Raghav gave her a sleepy look.

"As if you haven't wrapped me around your finger." His hands moved slowly on her waist. "And waist, and these," his hands reached her breasts.

"They feel so good," he murmured while snuggling his head into her neck. Before Pihu could even say something, he turned them around and made her lay gently on the bed.

"Come on, now. Enough of the first love philosophy. Give me my kisses," he leaned closer when all of a sudden, she reminded him.

"Raghav. But Riaan is here only."

Both of them glanced at the crib and breathed when they saw him sleeping peacefully. "He can wake any moment if you keep moaning and groaning like this," she told him sweetly.

He shook his head, grunting hard. Putting his cheeks on her breasts, he murmured, "I miss Sakshi at times like this. At least, she comes here and snatches Riaan from us for sometime."

Pihu laughed heartily.

"I miss her too."

"He looked like he had missed you in between these years," said Aarush while driving back home.

Sakshi shook her head.

"Who am I? A spoilt-brat for him. He was keen on getting his hands free from our case. But life has taught him a lesson now, he is gentle," she explained.

"But it sucks that I love him the way he used to be before. Cool and Calm. He has changed a lot. So mature and peaceful. So sweet and at the same time, sad. It hurts me seeing him like this. . ."

"Woah! Woah! You had just gone to cheer him up," he reminded her.

Sakshi bit her tongue and looked out of the car window. "If I had said so."

Aarush narrowed his eyes and glanced at her. Something twisted in his heart at seeing her like this. Two years ago, he too was sitting like this in the car while Sakshi was driving.

He had broke up with his first-ever girlfriend. For a nerd like him, he was shy about his feelings. He denied it time to time that he wished for a future with his girlfriend. Even after the break up when she had dumped him heartlessly. But Sakshi had seen the intensity in his eyes.

She had recognized the true love in his eyes for his girlfriend. She had told him to believe his heart and wait for her. If his love was true, she would return to his life with her arms all wide. If not, then time would heal him.

He was healed amazingly by now.

But how could he put the same thing for her. Here the tables had turned. The stars had performed their magic and done the unexpected.

They had brought back her first love right in her lap, to tease her, play with her heart. All her feelings were getting revived and on top of all that, this Malhotra guy was handsome and had improved mentally.

Aarush kept quiet, concluding how he couldn't just even joke about this being her true love. Just because the universe had brought back her love to her.

"He didn't deserve this much," she commented again. "He had helped me before leaving my life. Fought those hooligans, faced them bravely just to save me."

"That night I had seen the real concern in his eyes for me. The little amount of love he could return for everything I had done for him. A hope had flickered in my heart that maybe, slowly in the end, Shrey loved me."

She wiped a tear immediately before it could even slide down her cheek and Aarush could see it.

"Then again, it felt like an illusion. I wanted him to get hurt. I had cursed him. But now, I regret those days. I feel as if God has heard my words thrown in misery," her voice cracked.

Aarush stopped the car right as they had reached home. He turned to her and gave her an irritating look.

"He looked amazed today for you. Come on, he is not that of a p.ssy. A rape is a big deal. If he has been brave enough to face the fake blame thrown upon him, he will face the hearing too. He will get himself free," he told her. "Bad time comes and go, never lasts."

Sakshi looked at him hesitantly. "I want to help him."

Aarush stared at her quietly, thinking that it would get hard to pull her back if she fell in this trap. He would have to talk with her patiently. But tomorrow.

Right now, she looked overwhelmed after meeting him. "Okay," he nodded. "We will invite him to hang out or something. Will that be okay?"

"Then, you'll get the chance to know about his case while I'll get the chance to click pics of both of you and burn the ass out of our dear professor," he bumped a fist with her, making her chuckle.

Slowly they got out of the car and hugged briefly. "Come. I will make you something," she muttered while picking her bag.

Aarush clutched his heart.

"That woman up there will make me crazy. She pisses me off," he gasped. "I am leaving."

Sakshi chuckled and slapped him on forearm. "Come on, jerk. She is in love with you. Looking at me, didn't you learn enough to not play with a girl's heart?"

Aarush checked his watch, ignoring her words. Sakshi snatched his car keys and started walking towards the stairs.

"Today, I will make you guys patch up anyhow. By any means. Even if I will have to lock you both in one room," she yelled while climbing on the first one, giggling when Aarush followed her with his eyes pleading her already.

"She will burn me with her glares."

"Then cool her, tonight."

"Sakshi, please." He kept pleading her until they finally reached the floor.

"God, help me."
