《Adam and...Jonah?》Chapter 3

That night me and him. Just us. I took him to a field, pretty far away from the town we lived in. It was a flower field. I thought that maybe I could get him some at the moment while I was expressing my feelings and thoughts. I knew Jonah loved flowers, especially daisies, he says that they give him a wierd comfort feeling. During the "trip", if we could call it like that, Jonah didn't shut up for a second. "Man, why is this taking so long? I'm bored..." he said, "Just wait a bit longer dude, we're almost there..." I replied being really vague. I'm not sure, but I think he got mad at me, as he usually did. After twenty minutes we arrived there. Jonah was actually surprised and happy that I brought him there. The field was really big, without any houses near and was kissed by the light of the moon. Jonah and I sat in the middle of the field. I realized I wasn't really ready to tell him what I wanted to tell him, but that was the only place where we were alone without a chance of anyone hearing us. "Hey, Jonah....I...uhm...I have to tell you something." I anxiously said. What if I didn't find the right words to tell him? Why didn't I just make up a story at the moment? I do not know, but I don't regret it. "This is wierd...YOU being serious?" he replied while wheezing, "Please Jonah, this is really serious". I saw him getting worried and not laughing anymore. "Oh...well, tell me then.". I had to clear my mind, a lot of things were going on in there. "Okay... I wanted you to know, that I love you...more than a friend, and I understand if you won't feel the same...but just promise me we will still be friends.". A few seconds passed, and Jonah stared at me. He stared laughing and got out the words "Me too, idiot!", while he leaned his head on my shoulder and put his hand on mine. That was the best feeling I've ever felt. Jonah then kissed my cheek. I felt it getting warmer. I couldn't ask for more in that moment. "Now that we are boyfriends, you should...you know..." he eventually said. "Uhm...I should what?" I replied, "kiss me dumbass, that's what you do when getting in a relationship with someone." he answered. I couldn't believe it. He wanted me to... kiss him? I mean, he is my boyfriend... he was right. I don't know why, but that made me angry. I didn't say anything, our lips got closer and then did what I had to. His were soft and sweet, it felt like I was kissing an angel. We stayed up all night, making jokes and talking. That was the best night of my life.

Luck Lockyer
Luck Lockyer was the type of man to smirk in the dark, the expression not for anyone but himself. One of perpetual amusement. The bright side of things were hard to find in the shade yet his amber eyes were always searching. The smirk was his default, he knew it, his friends knew it, his family knew it. It was his most natural state. But the death of everyone close to you can affect a downwards curve on the mouths of even the most stoic people. Without purpose, without anyone to do the job for, Luck Lockyer found himself inside an empty forgotten church. The perpetual smirk on his face had slipped to a thin line, his scar more noticeable now than ever before. His amber eyes, the windows to his soul, dull and lifeless. To anyone who knew him, it was the clothing that gave away his mental state, denim pants and a plain black t-shirt. If that wasn't enough, the tears running down his face certainly would, the echoing sobs of a broken man rang across the rundown church. It was on a whim, but Luck Lockyer prayed, he prayed for many things, for death, revenge, friends, but the one prayer dominating his thoughts, a second chance for his family. That was all he wanted. Simple. It was then, on the outskirts of a polluted city, in an abondoned lot, in a forgotten church that Luck Lockyer, the Devil of the Cards, the Bloodless Hand, the Amber Demon, the Broken, was answered by a being from another world and one from his. *found the picture online

Conquest Of Mortem
*NOTE* This novel is a war of attrition. To say anything less is a disservice to its demand. While comparable to other such works as Ulysses or Moby Dick, each sentence in Conquest is an enemy to be tackled. Not in the ways of difficulty but in absurd density that wishes nothing more than to destroy what patience you may have. Do not tackle chapters as you would ordinary chapters in an ordinary book. Tackle each chapter as a book unto itself. A foe to be vanquished, a period of life to leave behind. Seek to be master of this work. Seek to overcome. For in its design is the willpower, and the perseverance, and the strength of someone who sought meaning in struggle. As I discovered these in times of ultimate desperation, so I hope for you to discover these things. This novel is a love letter to your trials. May you overcome them. May you master them. May you become conquerer.- SeedSagaA literary epic for logophiles, philosophers, and poets alike. A journey into zeitgeist, the impact of media on culture, and the endurance of morality against an onslaught of hatred. These vague descriptions do little to compact Conquest's density into a bite-size summary. They do however relate the basest themes found within. A plot, if such can be surmised, is strung thinly across multiple perspectives, weaving together these concepts into a seemingly distorted tapestry of indecipherable events. Inspired by early 20th century modernism, Conquest will challenge the reader, and provide critique on the medium upon which all great stories are derived. Further interpretation is up to you now; an explorer among a sea of words. Venture on and discover what lies ahead, in...CONQUEST OF MORTEM
