《Bushes - A Hot Chelle Rae Fanfic (Ryan/OC)》Chapter 22

"I never want to leave this couch.." Jamie mumbled, lying face down on the couch in his and Ryan's apartment. After wrapping up their U.S Tour, it was time to return home to Michigan for two days and then they were leaving for Spain. It was definitely great to be off the bus, and back home. Except for the fact that they have three suitcases full of dirty laundry..but they decided to worry about that later - as usual.
"You're so lazy!" Ryan said, dropping his bags in his living room, Maddie following suit.
"We just got back from a four month long tour, I think I have a righ-"
"Whoa, whoa I was just kidding! No need to get so defensive," Ryan teased. He loved aggravating him. That's what older brothers are for, right?
Maddie and Ryan left the living room, and went to Ryan's room, leaving a tired and crabby Jamie behind.
"Wow, it's great to be back here, and off a bus." Maddie said, sitting down on the bed. "I forgot what a real bed feels like." Ryan smiled and joined her on the bed, wrapping his arm around her.
"Thanks for coming with me on tour, sweetheart. It really made it so much better."
"Believe me, it was my pleasure!" She said, smiling and softly kissing his lips. It drove Ryan crazy when she did that, and usually it helped her get whatever she wanted. "But come on, we actually have free time! Let's go out and do something, it's beautiful out!"
Ryan groaned before pushing himself off his -very comfortable- bed. "You're a pain you know that?"
"Yet you somehow still love me!"
"Yeah, somehow," He teased. "Alright, what should we do?" Ryan looked around the room, for ideas before his eyes landed on his old soccer ball in the corner of the room.

"Remember when we first started dating and played a game of soccer?" He asked.
"Of course I do, I kicked your ass."
"That's because I let you win."
"Oh whatever."
"No seriously!" He said with a straight face. "I lost on purpose because I wanted to make you happy.."
"Well..I guess I'll just have to kick your ass for real then." She replied with a teasing smile.
"Oh it's on," Ryan challenged.

"So you're sure you want to do this? This is your last chance to back out."
"I'm positive, besides," Maddie replied getting out of the car, "You should be the one who's worried."
Ryan just rolled his eyes, following his girlfriend to the soccer field. As soon as he caught up to her, Maddie turned around and pressed her lips to his, resting her hands on his chest. "I love you," She said after pulling away. Then she took off with the ball, before he even had a chance to reply.
"That's playing dirty!" He yelled, chasing her down the field. Ryan was fast - but not fast enough. Maddie scored a goal rather effortlessly.
"So you're sure you want to do this? This is your last chance to back out." Maddie said, mimicking what he said just minutes ago.
"Ha, ha...very funny. But that was not fair..doing that to distract me!"
"Hey, I never said I wasn't going to use certain things to my advantage.."
Ryan just sighed, a hint of a smile on his face. "Alright, alright. But two can play that game sweetheart."
The rest of the game, it stayed pretty close. They were a pretty even match against each other. Which surprised Ryan, he didn't know she was that good, and it definitely didn't help that she was such a distraction. They were now tied, four-four.

"Alright, next goal wins." Ryan announced, taking a drink out of his water bottle.
"Sounds like a plan," Maddie agreed, walking over to him.
"Oh I don't think so..I know exactly what you're trying to do."
"What are you talking about?!" She asked, eyes wide, attempting a look of pure innocent.
"I know you're just trying to distract me so you can win."
"Ryan, I don't need to distract you to win."
Ryan smirked and grabbed her hips, pulling her right against him before pressing his lips to hers. Okay, so she was not expecting that. His hands found the hem of her t-shirt, sliding a hand up her back, making her shiver. She definitely wasn't expecting that. Maddie struggled to clear her thoughts. He was doing exactly what she did. So, she pulled away while she still could and took off down the field with the ball.
However Ryan was fast and quickly caught up to her, wrapping his arms around her waist and lifting her up. "Not fair!" She said laughing, while kicking her legs, attempting to free herself.
"Oh you say this isn't fair?" He questioned. "You aren't fair. Using all of these things to your advantage...I would almost say you're cheating." Then he let her go and went for the ball. But this time she was faster and took off down the field, racing to the goal. As soon as she felt him catching up, she kicked the ball praying it would go into the net.
And it did.
Ryan groaned, and came up behind her, resting his chin on her shoulder. "I'm never going to hear the end of this.."
"Damn right you aren't." She replied smugly.

"I am so exhausted right now.." Maddie mumbled into Ryan's chest.
"Mmm," He hummed in agreement. They had gotten home a few hours later, ordered a pizza which they ate with Jamie, and now they were lying on Ryan's bed. He pressed a kiss to the top of her head, and ran his hand up and down one of her arms. "I am so in love with you," He whispered into her hair. She just smiled, not having the energy to say anything in response. Instead, she just snuggled closer to him before falling asleep.
Once Ryan noticed this, he grabbed his phone from the nightstand next to his bed and opened the internet. He looked up popular destinations in Spain, near where they would be playing their shows. Satisfied with some of the results he found; he opened a new tab and looked up engagement rings.

A/N So this chapter turned out to be a little longer than expected..but oh well! I know I'm constantly apologizing for the long gaps between chapters, but I have good news! As of two weeks from now, it will be my summer vacation and then I will have a lot more time to be able to focus on my writing. My first priority is going to be this story, so I can finish it, then I'll really focus on my other HCR ones. Anyway! Please vote and comment any feedback you have. Thanks!

Dimensional Originator
Adam is having a terrible time. To start the day off he died in a car accident. And that isn't even the most painful thing that happened to him. That would be merging with a strange crystal. After that he ended up stuck in an endless black void. He does eventually get rescued. But quickly realizes his soul has been put in the body of a fallen noble and his fate is to be little more than a breeding slave for the cultivation clan that purchased him. To top it all off his new body had been bedridden for weeks and he can barely get out of bed. Not everything is terrible though. The crystal he merged with is called a dimensional originator. Using life and death energy he can create miniature universes. Given enough energy and time he could even create an entire universe. For a moment Adam thought things were looking up. Too bad the author finds things going horribly wrong far more entertaining. Warning: If this fiction was a movie I'd rate it as somewhere between PG-13 and R for violence, gore, and nudity.
