《Bushes - A Hot Chelle Rae Fanfic (Ryan/OC)》Chapter 8

While the guys were at sound check, Maddie decided to go to a photography shop and buy some new camera equipment. She hailed down a taxi, and rattled off the address. He nodded and drove off to the other side of town. Within a few minutes, he was pulling up next to a small brick building. She handed him a few bills, and got out of the car.
The photography shop was small and quaint, with soft music playing in the background. Maddie walked around, looking at all the new -and expensive- cameras. She found a new camera case, memory cards, and lense cleaners before going to pay for all the items. As the cashier, who looked to be about the same age as Maddie, rung up the items, the song switched on the radio and Maddie smiled when she realized what it was. Bleed.
Her and the guys have already heard it on the radio a few times, but it was just as exciting hearing it again. The cashier, however didn't look very happy.
"I hate this band." She said rolling her eyes. Maddie raised her eyebrows, looking at the girl's name tag -Cassie-.
"Really? I love them." She said a little defensive.
"Well, it's not so much the band that I hate, just the lead singer, Ryan."
"Why?" Maddie asked, curious.
"Well," Cassie began, "Me and him used to date, that's all. He broke things off a month ago, saying something about having a girlfriend."
Now Maddie was furious. Not so much at Cassie anymore, but at Ryan. A month ago? Her and Ryan have been together for over a year. She gritted her teeth before replying to her.
"Huh. How long were you guys dating?"
"A few months. But I'm so over him now. He's a jerk, you know?" Cassie put all of the camera equipment into a bag and handing it to Maddie.

"Oh I know exactly what you mean." She snapped, throwing some money on the counter before storming out. Tears threatened to spill out of her eyes, as she walked down the street. She didn't want to take a taxi, the venue was less than a mile from here. Besides, Maddie needed some time to think and calm down before talking to Ryan.

Archimedes was the ego behind one of the most powerful dungeons ever created. He grew and developed his halls, filling them with powerful monsters and beasts, over the course of thousands of years. He was a grand structure of ten thousand floors which even heroes had failed to defeat. However, an Evil God had come from another world, calling himself the Demon King, and a party of heroes were sent to do battle with it. Through their victory, they obtained enough strength to breeze through Archimedes' dungeon like it was nothing. Forseeing the end of his life, and realizing how pointless his pursuit of power had been, Archimedes destroyed himself, taking the heroes down with him. Still, Archimedes felt despair that he had lived a worthless life as something as pitiful and futile as a dungeon. Sensing his regret and potential, the voice of the world presented Archimedes with the chance to start anew and live a more meaningful life. Thrilled and hopeful for the first time in eons, Archimedes accepted the offer, only to be reborn again as a dungeon core with not a single room or monster to his name. Just what was the meaning of this?! Archimedes couldn't figure out what the voice of the world was thinking. Somehow, he would have to draw a sage into his dungeon to figure it out for him. _______________________ DCS is now a member of the WriTEr's Pledge, which means I have sworn to see it through to a satisfying end.
