"I don't want you to leave," I whispered. We were standing outside my house again and it was nearly 3 in the morning on Monday.
"I know,I don't want to, either. But hey-" He said, lifting my chin up so he was looking straight in my eyes. "I love you more than anything. And I promise, I'll see you again soon, ok?" I nodded, studying his face. "I'll call you after our show tonight, I want to know how your finals went." I nodded again, this part sucked. In fact, sucked was a major understatement.
"I love you, Ryan Follese," I choked out before smashing my lips against his. I tried to take in every possible second of this kiss, because who knew how long it would be until I got to kiss him again. But then, he was pulling away, and whispering one last goodbye, before leaving again. I sighed and climbed back up the tree leading to my room.

"Hey," I looked up from my lunch to see my friends, Olivia and Grace standing before me, both having obvious looks of pity on their faces.
"Stop looking at me like that."
"Like what?" Grace asked as they both sat down.
"Like I'm the saddest thing you've ever seen." I replied, pushing the food around on my tray.
"Well, we know that Ryan left last night.."
"Yeah he did. But I should be used to it by now, right?" They both gave me sad smiles, which started to annoy me. I know they're just being nice, but everytime he leaves, they treat like I'm some poor wounded animal. Olivia sensed that though, and changed the subject to finals, which I was grateful for.

"We're so proud of you, Maddie!" My parents said for the hundredth time that night. We were just pulling into the driveway after the graduation ceremony, and I was beyond relieved I was finally done.
"I mean-you were in the top 15 of your class!" My dad let out a low whistle under his breath, and I smiled a little.
"I"m going to go change," I announced when we entered the house. I ran up the stairs, two at a time, anxious to call Ryan. He picked up on the second ring.
"Hey," his voice was raspy, but he sounded really happy. "Did you just get home?"
"Yeah, I did. It was really long, almost three hours," I said groaning.
"Oh wow, mine wasn't even half that long." It was great hearing his voice, even over the phone. We talked for over two hours, and would've kept talking if my mom hadn't knocked on the door asking if I wanted cake.
"Yeah, I'll be right down," i shouted through the door. I listend for her footsteps to fade down the hallway before I told Ryan I had to go.
"I'll see you really soon, ok?" There was something in his voice that made me feel hopeful that maybe I would see him soon.
"Like how soon?" I asked, biting my lip, holding back a smile. I heard the smile in his voice when he replied, "Sooner than you think, I love you." And then he hung up, making me anxious and excited at the same time.
A/N I got some new readers! YAAAY! So in celebration, maybe I'll post another one tomorrow (:

Technically Abroad
This is the story about Victor who is Technically Abroad and how he is adjusting to this one simple fact. Going to college is a hard time for a lot of people. You just became an adult in society’s eyes, but people still treat you like a kid. A year ago you might have had to ask for permission to use the bathroom, but now you can vote, legally buy most things and work, marry, etc. Even if some people still treat you like a kid. So in the simplest non-spoilery terms, this story is about Victor finding himself in a world that isn’t his, with a lot of rules that weren’t given to him upon arrival. Instead, he has to take the cards he was dealt and do the best that he can, even though he never asked to be part of this game that turned into his life. He has to just hope he can live up to his name. This story will be one that can be found in its entirety here, but thanks to multiple people asking the story to be put here it will be, albeit with a delay compared to the main site.
