"Where do you want to go?" He asked me once we got out of my neighborhood.
"Let's go to that park we went to on our first date," I said with a smile, remembering that day. He grinned, and drove off in that direction. "How's the tour going?"
"Great, actually. I think we're begining to win some fans over. It's such a great experience, but I wish you could come with us, it would be so much better with you."
"I wish I could, too." I sighed looking out the window, as we drove past small houses and apartment buildings.
"Well, at least you graduate next week," He said, I could tell he was trying to make me feel better.
"Yeah, that's true. I just don't understand why my parents still won't let me go with you, even after this school year."
"I don't either, babe."

"The stars are so beautiful," I commented looking up. We were lying down on the cool grass looking up at the clear night sky. Ryan wrapped his arm around me, pulling me close to his side.
"Mhhm..." We lied there in silence for awhile- a comfortable one- just enjoying the presence of the other. We've spent so much time apart, that we've learned to just appreciate every single second we get with the other. "I love you so much," Ryan said looking into my green eyes.
"I love you even more," I replied, kissing him, lightly at first, but that quickly escaladed into more passionate. I felt his tongue make its way into my mouth, and then felt shivers run down my spine. He rested his hands on the sides of my face, and brushed his thumb across my cheek, wiping away a tear that made its way out of my eye.

"What's wrong?" He asked, his furrowing his eyebrows in confusion.
"Nothing-It's just.." I sighed, and tried to calm myself, this was only making things worse. "I just really hate being apart from you, that's all."
"I couldn't agree more with you. But I'll be here until Sunday, so we have all weekend to see each other. I know it sucks, but we just need to live in the moment and not think about when I leave." I smiled at him, and brushed my lips against his jaw bone, causing him to attack my neck with kisses, making me giggle.
I woke up to Ryan's fingers tracing my spine, and when he noticed I was awake he pressed his lips to the side of my head. I panicked for a moment, thinking I slept all the way through the night, and that my parents would wake up and realize I wasn't there, but then I relaxed because it was still dark.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep," I said, yawning. He smiled and kissed my nose.
"It's alright, I fell asleep for awhile, too. Besides, you look really cute when you sleep." I blushed, and leaned my head back against his chest, and felt his fingers run through my hair.
"We have to go back now, don't we?" It wasn't exactly a question, because I knew what the answer was, we both did, and neither of us liked it. Sighing, we both got up, and brushed all the dirt off ourselves. We took our time walking to the car, hand in hand.
"I'll see you later today, alright?" We were below my bedroom window, and this was always the worst part. But not this time, because I got to see him again later. He lifted my chin, and gave me a light kiss, before heading back to his car. I watched him go, with a small smile on my face. I looked at my phone and saw it was almost 6 in the morning. Sighing, I began to climb up the tree that lead to my bedroom window.

The Flame in the Forge (A Slice of Life Isekai LitRPG)
Thrown into a world he doesn’t recognise, Niall Vendra has to adapt, learn and fight to survive. Physically, emotionally, personally. If Niall wants to save his family, then the man he was needs to transform. Surrounded by Minotaurs, Fae and Magic, Niall will have to reinvent himself as both a warrior and an artisan. Growth won’t be fast and it won’t be easy, but with patience and hard work, Niall can earn the Skills, Abilities and Classes to battle his way to the top. The Flame In The Forge is a LitRPG Isekai/Portal fantasy. You should expect slice of life with conflict and an overarching mystery to be solved. Niall will be both a crafter (primarily, but not exclusively, as a blacksmith) and a fighter. There won’t be a harem. But don't worry, there will be both flames and forges! I should be clear that while this is very much LitRPG, it's story led and I have tried to make it feel believable. So, for example, the first blue box doesn't appear until chapter 6. I hope that the payoff is worth it. Compared to some LitRPGs you may find the pace rather gentle at times. There will be some periods where it feels like Niall is eking out every level and others when, for good reasons, he makes a significant leap. My goal though is to give you a satisfying story, so that dictates when and how Niall's stats and skills change. I can reassure you that I fully intend for Niall to become immensely powerful, but I want you to feel like he has earned every level in a realistic way.
