"You look so beautiful." I gawked at her.
A genuine smile fell to my lips when I saw how shy she became. She looked down and tried to move her chocolate strands out her face. I took a step forward and moved the stubborn strand behind her ear. My action caused her to blush even more.
"Thank you." She muttered.
"Well!" We turned to Rosé. "Bring her back before midnight." She sternly told me. "And no funny business-"
"Ignore her!" Leon clamped his hand over Rosé's mouth. "Do the nasty, dirtiest thing to get her screaming for-"
"Ignore him." Taylor placed her hand over Leon's mouth. "Have fun." She sweetly smiled.
"And make sure you fuck her brains out!" Nic and I flushed at Hyde's comment. "Like hard and rough!" She began hitting her hands together to simulate the sound of flesh hitting flesh.
"Hyde!" Nic and Cher yelled.
"Okay then." I took Nic's hand and led her outside before I had to be subjected to anything else her friends said.
"Where are we going?" She asked as I opened the door for her.
"It's a surprise." I laughed as she huffed. Somethings never change I guess. She still hates surprises.
I felt her eyes on me as I drove. I met her eyes, causing her to quickly avert her eyes. I saw her blushed reflection through the window. I had a satisfactory smile on my face. She still gets nervous around me. Good to know.
Her eyes widened when I pulled into the parking spot. She excitedly began hitting me. She was so cute when excited.
"Are we really going there?!" She pointed at the painting studio.
"Yep." I turned the car off.
I opened my door and rushed around to open hers. She gave me a shy smile and mumbled a thanks. I took her hand in mine, causing her blush to deepen. I took her inside and paid the designated amount. We then sat opposite each other. I was about to ask what we should paint, but she already began drawing away. Okay, then. I chuckled, resulting in her raising a brow.

"Already know what you want to paint?" I smirked. She nervously chuckled and looked away.
"I have a vague idea." She refused to meet my eyes.
I laughed and didn't press her more. I was trying to decide what to paint. I tried to paint a penguin since that's Nic's favorite animal. I started to regret my decision because I forgot what a penguin looked like. I had to Google a picture on my phone. Shouldn't be that hard, right? Wrong! I was failing miserably.
"How'd you think about this?" Nic dipped her brush in the blue paint.
"You've always wanted to do this with me." I drew a horrible circle. "I've always kinda deflected from it because I'm terrible at art." I winced at the proportionality issues between the head and body in my picture.
"What are you good at?" She smiled while using yellow paint.
"Boring stuff like rubix cubes and chess." I blushed in embarrassment.
"Weren't you supposed to teach me chess?" She narrowed her eyes at me.
"Ya, I've just haven't- wait! You remember that!" My outburst caught the eyes of a few strangers. Her eyes knit together in confusion before a smile formed on her face.
"I guess I do." She giggled.
"Well, that's a good start." I found a new vigor to complete my painting.
We painted in a comfortable silence for a bit. I tried to sneak a peek at her picture, but she'd always move her canvas out of my frame. Nic gave me a glare that told me "no peeking." I pouted and sat back down. She smiled in victory and continued painting away.
I was done with my horrendous interpretation of a penguin. I didn't even know if you could tell it's a penguin. The instructor walked around with a proud smile on her face. When she got to my canvas, her face scrunched up in confusion. She looked at me, silently asking what the hell I drew. I showed her the Google picture I used for reference. She gave me a forced smile and hummed. She placed her finger under her chin as she tried to see the resemblance. I groaned, causing Nic to snicker.

In order to make my picture look more accurate, I got some googly eyes and orange construction paper. I fastened them onto my painting and had a proud smile. I gestured to the art instructor, but she was even more confused. I groaned even louder, causing Nic to have a hysterical fit of laughter.
Nic was finally done. She glanced at me one more time before touching up her painting. She had a nervous look on her face. I don't know why she was nervous since I'm pretty sure her painting is amazing. I'm more worried what she'll think when she sees how terrible I am at art.
"I don't know why this was the first thing that came to my mind, but..." She bit her lip and blushed. "Shall we reveal our paintings?"
"Well, it's now or never." I sighed. "So... I wanted to do something that reminded me of you." She smiled at my revelation.
I gasped when she revealed her painting. It was a portrait of me. It was extraordinarily beautiful. I remember always asking her to draw me, but she was always nervous that I wouldn't like it. She claimed that she had to do my beauty justice and that it was hard to capture something as ethereal as me. She's truly an artist whose work should be hung in a museum. I was blown away. I then looked at her to see her blushing. She was waiting for my opinion on the piece.
"What do you think?" She nervously asked.
"It's beautiful." I swooned. "I love it!" She smiled widely at me. "Now I'm feeling insecure about my penguin." I chuckled. "I wanted to paint something that reminded me of you, but I messed that up."
"No! I love it." She stood up to see it better. "I wanna keep it." She began taking a picture of it.
"Why?" I whined. "It's so ugly."
"No it's not. You made it, therefore it's beautiful." She genuinely replied. "I'm gonna hang it over my bed." I then saw her open her phone camera.
"No way can you post that. Gem and Z will tease me to death."
"If you love me the way you claim, then you'll allow me to post." She deviously smirked. I groaned and allowed her to post it on Insta. I'm not gonna hear the end of this.
