《The Academy 3》18

I slid down the door upon hearing Nicola's private words. She was contrite and guilt ridden. Tears were streaming down my eyes as well. Every thought, look, or action by her knocked a hole through my wall. It used to be impenetrable, but she's found a way to make it less sturdy.

I quickly wiped my tears when the maids entered the hallway. They took one look at me before turning on their heels. They quickly scurried the opposite way. I got up and walked to a guest room. I then showered and changed into some casual clothes.

I instructed a maid to bring food up to my room. She didn't question my order, even though she was confused. I saw Yasmine and Astrid in the living room with my sisters. I ignored them and walked through the room. They stopped talking and looked at me.

I went to the kitchen and told the chef to make me breakfast. With a nod, he began cooking me an omelet. I took out my phone to see Eric had been blowing up my phone:

I rolled my eyes and ignored his messages. I then saw a message from Skye, making jabs about my failed relationship with Nicola:

I gripped my phone tight to the point my knuckles turned white.

The chef sheepishly smiled before placing a plate before me. My eyes were cold and devoid of any emotion. I took the plate and pelted it at the wall. Everyone gasped as the plate shattered. I then took my phone and hurled it at the window. The glass shattered from the impact. I was breathing heavily, causing everyone to eye me with fear and worry.

I ripped my eyes from them. I was planning on acting like nothing happened, but I then saw the fearful eyes of Nicola. My heart dropped at her horrified expression. My shoulders sagged the more I recognized the disappointment in her eyes.

"How about we do a challenge?" I focused my attention on her. I raised my brow, prompting her to continue. "A series of three challenges. If I win, then I can take you on a date."

"And if I win?" I coldly spoke.

"Then... I'll walk out of your life and you'll never have to see me again." She looked down and I swear I saw a tear fall. "I'll leave the school."

"Challenge, accepted." I said without hesitation.
