《The Academy 3》8

Today has been an absolute bore. Normally, I'd be with my friends, sisters, or ex. Now, I'm by myself since there's only so much fakeness I can endure from my other "friends." I had my drapes drawn since I didn't want any sunlight. I felt hollow and numb. I heard a knock on my door.

"If your name is Tamsin, Zara, Gemma, Astrid, or Yasmine... go away." I demanded, but the door opened.

"Good thing I'm none." My mother loudly shut the door.

"What do you want?" I groaned.

"My daughter back." She firmly stated. "What the hell happened between you and Nicola?" I opened my mouth to retort, but she beat me to it. "You've been an even bigger bitch than you normally are. Isolating your friends and sisters out of anger is unacceptable!" She opened my blinds, making me hiss at the sunlight. "Rudeness towards your trainer! Intimidating faculty!" She shook my shoulders. "Why?!" She demanded.

"Shouldn't you be happy that you don't have such a vile abomination living under your roof anymore." I spat, but my mother scoffed. "Maybe your own mother will welcome you back with open arms. You've driven out the homosexual beast. Congratulations." I mocked her.

"I will not deal with your attitude. I am not your father, your sisters, or your friends." She released me. "Fix your attitude, girl. I will not tolerate this level of disrespect. Now, a party will be held downstairs. Fix yourself up and plaster on your mask." She stopped at the door. "I now understand why Nicola left you." I shot up in anger. "I wouldn't put up with your attitude either." She shut the door the same time I threw an object at it.

The object broke the moment it crashed into the door. I was curious what it was since there was glass littered by the door. I gasped when I realized what it was. It was the 3D glass crystal that Nicola lasered our picture on. The picture was of her and I gazing at each other with so much love.

I screamed in agony and fell onto my knees. This was one of the few things Nicola could afford to gift me. Since she was struggling with money, she used some money to buy the glass and then learned to laser. It was a surprise and I broke the one thing she gave me that symbolized her love.

I was so heartbroken that I didn't realize my mom swung the door open. I felt arms around me as I cried my eyes out. My mother whispered soothing words in an attempt to calm me down. I was hurting. Hurting so bad. Hurting more than I realized.
