It's been a month since Nicola broke up with me. I've received her weekly gratitude letters, but they are dripping in sarcasm and passive aggressiveness. To counteract her behavior, I keep increasing the amount of pages while simultaneously decreasing the font size and making it single spaced.
When my "friends" found out we broke up, they asked if they could go back to harassing her. It pissed me off that the only reason they were being nice to her was because we were dating. They were despicable people who would smile in your face while stabbing you in the back. And that is the exact reason I gave them permission to bully her.
I'd often see Nicola and Leon being ganged up on in the halls. Their only saving grace was when the boys, Hyde, or Rosé would come. Rosé was secretly scary. I'd smirk whenever Nicola and I would lock eyes. I would gladly pay an exuberant amount for tickets to her downfall.
Astrid and Yaz weren't happy with my behavior. They tried expressing their opinions, but I'd dismiss them. I was pulling away and ghosting them for my other "friends." Astrid was red with anger while Yaz was beyond frustrated.
My sisters had a similar feeling to the two. Tamsin was trying to get me to feel some semblance of humanity. I didn't see the need since I was emulating her, my big sister and role model. Tamsin flinched at the compliment. Zara straight up told me I was being a cold hearted bitch. I let her know that Nicola called me the ice Queen and I was just living up to my name. Gemma was pissed that I was treating Nicola so badly. She didn't understand how I could treat someone so terribly when I loved them. I then shocked my sisters by stating I didn't love her anymore. My sisters called bs, but I really didn't give a shit.

My father and I were currently in a meeting. We were in the process of convincing a partner of a deal. He wanted $750k for 15%. My father thought it was a good deal based on the benefits we would receive, but I wasn't convinced. I knew we could do better. I countered for 35% since I really wanted to get at least 25%.
My father looked at me, but I kept my stoic expression. I stated the benefits he'd receive from working with us, but stated we needed an incentive to actually invest. The owners were whispering amongst themselves while I eyed them. My father sat back in his chair and observed how everything would unfold.
There was a chance we'd lose the deal, but that wasn't an option for me. The group quieted down and motioned for the leader to speak. He countered back at 30%. I smiled and shook his hand. My father proudly smiled at me and shook everyone's hands. The people stayed a while longer for small talk, but eventually left. I stood up to leave, but my father asked me to sit back down.
"You're a shark, my daughter." I smiled at him. "But, I've never seen you so sharp and cutthroat." His voice dropped. "What happened with Nicola?"
"I don't want to talk about it. You should be happy that I've gotten rid of the distraction. I'm making killer deals and I'm no longer in an embarrassing relationship." I was confused why he wasn't happy. I was outperforming all of his employees.
"From the business side, the past events are making us more money. From the human side-"
"I didn't ask for your opinion." I cut him off. "Stop meddling into my personal life!"
"You better change your tone real quick, Alicia." His voice was stern.
"Or what? You'll fire me? Good luck cuz no one will ever be like me." I abruptly stood up. "Maybe you should try finding my replacement." I spat before walking out the door.
