《Agere Academy》babysitter problems

I hoped Georgia would behave. The reason she needed a sitter was so I could go out and buy her things for her room, more little space items (high chair and playpen) new stuffies and treats. The apartment doorbell rang, and I opened the door to see a pretty-ish lady who looked rushed and worried. When she saw me, she relaxed. "Sorry, I thought I was late!" She regained her breath and turned to Georgia, who was behind me. "Hello little one, my name is Alana." I handed Alana information about Georgia and our rules. She scanned the list and nodded at me. "I'll be going now." I said and turned to Georgia and kissed her nose. "Bye princess."
GEORGIA'S POV
That lady looked sickly sweet again. Daddy kissed my nose and then left. Leaving silence. Alana smiled at me sweetly. "Come on, Georgia, let's color a picture for daddy?" She said this in a patronizing sweet tone, the one you'd use when talking to a toddler without a brain. That made me mad but I stuffed my anger away. She was trying to be nice, wasn't she? I showed her daddy's office desk, and she cleared some papers away, sat me down in front of a pen and pad of paper. "How about we draw a little girl, like you?" That's it. She triggered a part of my brain that made me lose my temper.
"Shut up, bitch. Stop using that tone of voice, you sound like a mosquito on drugs."
Alana wasn't happy with my comment, and her sickly sweet facade faded away. She drew her face in very close to mine, and stared at me intimidatingly. "Listen here, brat, I tried to be nice to you, but if you won't co-operate, neither will i." She drew away from me. I shook away my fear.

"Try me, you fake Barbie." I shouted.
Alana's face contorted with anger. She picked me up, I struggled, hitting at her, but she carried me to a corner and shoved me into it. I stayed still, shaking and she let go of me momentarily. She got out a penny and placed it on my nose. "I'm gonna set a 10 minute timer, but if the penny drops, the time resets." I nodded, but the penny dropped. Alana smirked and put it back on my nose. "You'll be here a long time, little brat." I was determined to still be bratty to her once I was out of this corner. One thing I could say about Alana was that she was one fierce woman.
The penny stayed on my nose but Alana shoved me roughly, and I fell to the floor, and the penny dropped. "Oops, the penny dropped. Timer resets now." She smirked at me and I wanted to punch her. I got off the floor, glaring at her. She shoved me into the corner again. I quickly glanced at my watch. It was 6:05. When would daddy be home?!
I wanted to check on my little, to see if she was alright, and to see if she'd been good. Georgia had been in a mood earlier, and I was hoping it hadn't continued. I texted Alana to ask if we could FaceTime with Georgia nearby. Alana replied with a 'yes' and then I pressed the start call button.
Alana looked up from her phone and suddenly dragged me close. "Act happy, bitch, or I'll tear out your hair." I looked down at my feet, wincing. She was terrible..
Suddenly her phone lit up with daddy calling. Alana answered and put it on speaker. I forced a smile and waved at him silently. Alana spoke for me, lying that I'd had a good time, and that we'd played dolls together. I wandered off, making use of this free time while Alana was distracted. i grabbed my stuffies and hid inside the play tent in my room. A couple of minutes later I could hear a banshee screaming. Then I realized it was Alana. Oops. She stormed into my room angrily. "where are you you little brat?!" I flinched and curled up into a ball, my head resting on my knees. Alana looked into the play tent and found me. She dragged me out and glared at me. "You don't hide from me like that." I gritted my teeth to stop myself from swearing at her. But I couldn't stop my mouth.

"Well, you shoulnt treat me like a piece of garbage, you fucked up little bitch!" I yelled in her face.
Alana slapped my thigh harshly. I fought back the urge to flinch and stared at her defiantly, chin raised. I wasn't going to let her know I was scared. All I wanted was to hug.. Daddy..? It sounded weird coming from my brain, but he was my only comfort in this school. I was jerked out of my thoughts by Alana. New name for her, The Menace. The Menace set me down on the floor. "Crawl to the living room and wait for me to tell you what to do." I glared at her. Crawl?! No thank you. She slapped my ass really hard, and her tone changed to dark. "Move it now, brat, or you'll get a proper spanking." I quickly crawled to the living room and waited on the carpet. I rubbed my stinging ass.
The Menace came in with a grin. She told me to kneel in a very uncomfortable position. She watched TV, while i suffered. Fuck her.

I'm still writing the entirety of Volume 2. WARNINGS:-Yes, this contains LitRPG elements after a slow start, promise.-This work is incredibly Slice-of-Life heavy-Also conversation heavy-Also plot heavy (But not in that way, unfortunately)-The pacing in terms of plot is slow -(Edit after a review)- This story is also known as: I honestly don't understand what's the difference between "light" and "dark" stories. I realized that far too late, so this story is... weird. It might be light at times, and dark at times, and in all honesty, definitely has dark undertones. Oh, and prepare to be disappointed or pleased by this story; I understand that this story is polarizing, at least. Cover made by: Fei (@Chippy03966650) / Twitter

If you haven't read book 1 (which you can find here https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/34776/new-game-reborn-as-a-reluctant-demon-lord-book) then you should probably do that first to avoid spoiling yourself in the synopsis. Ghostified City
‘Ghostified City’ is a post-dystopian sci-fi tale, set in a fading world that might be a future version of ours, running out on autopilot into oblivion. Adaman Yimmand is a simple robofactory operator in The City who's working with robots and machines every day. He doesn’t even realise that he might not have met another actual human being in years. Everything begins when he breaks his routine for once and enters a bar where he meets Evelith. This pesky other person does not let him go after he has had his -rather terrible- beer, because according to her actual humans are much rarer than he’s aware of. And from then on ‘the genie is out of the bottle and won’t get back in’, to use her words: Adaman meets more people, and gradually he has no choice but to accept that the reality of The City is not what he always thought it was, and to face the darkness of a fading humanity on the brink of self-inflicted extinction. Is there any hope left for him, and for his species? I have selected 'sexual content' and 'traumatising content' to be on the safe side, because there is a stripclub-like venue in the background of the story, and an almost-extinct humanity that has institutionalised suicide which might be disturbing to some. Apart from that it's not really a heavy 'adult' story.('Ghostified City' is my first long story in English as opposed to my native language Dutch, and an earlier version was published on my fiction blog 'Oranderra' until I stopped updating. This is a slightly altered version of the first series.)

Path of the Golden Average
It's the beginning of a new school year, and Ethan Burkhardt has finally accomplished his greatest goal. Inrollment at an HCP (Hero Certification Progam) in Chicago, Illinois. The good news: He won't be alone. An entire class of strangers will be thrown together, young men and women all with the dream of becoming licensed Heros. They will be forced to either sink or swim (sometimes literally), but for most, their greatest challenge will be each other. The bad news: Someone is working behind the scenes, manipulating people and events towards some unknown goal. Are they on the side of the students? Or are they preparing to bring down the next generation of heroes before they can even graduate? A story based in the world of Drew Hayes "SuperPowereds" Series, this is my attempt at a fan-fiction that holds very close to the canonical worldbuilding already done. I hope you enjoy.
