"How about this?" Zara placed some files on my dad's desk.

"No, that'll just open up the door for them to ask for a backlog." Gemma answered.

"I'm going to kill that bitch." Tamsin declared.

"Tammi-"

"Nope, she's right dad." He looked at me. "Just let her kill the bitch."

"Why is she doing this?" Gemma inquired. "Like what does she gain?"

"Besides humiliating Ali, I'm not entirely sure... you said she wants your girlfriend, right?" Tamsin asked.

"Seems like a reasonable trade." I turned to Zara in disbelief. "Well, she's actually overvaluing Nicola's worth, so she's basically at a loss in this negotiation-"

"Zara!" My dad and Gemma shushed her.

"I'll keep meeting with lawyers to prepare." My dad concluded the meeting. "You all are dismissed and try not to have this plague your minds."

We all rolled our eyes before walking out the office. It was currently 1pm. There was no point in going to class since we essentially missed the entire day. I went to grab my phone since I've been parted from it for hours. I assume Nic texted to find out where I was.

I was surprised and a little disappointed at not seeing a text from her. I saw a barrage of texts from my friends, so I decided to open our group chat. Yaz and Tridi had been spamming me to notify me of Nicola's date. Date? Since when did she have a date that wasn't me? We weren't poly... were we?

The grip on my phone tightened when I read that Skye had picked her up. I wanted to chuck my phone at Skye's head, but I think I'd have to battle Tamsin over that.

I was fuming, but thanked my friends for their help. I tried calling and texting Nic, but she didn't answer. I was getting angrier by the minute. How dare she go out with Skye?! She has a girlfriend for God's sake! Is she cheating on me?

I let my insecurities take hold of me. I'm terrified since it wouldn't be the first time she cheated on me. I couldn't handle another heartbreak. I'm not sure if I could physically survive that.

"What's wrong with you?" Zara leaned against the door frame. "It smells like self pity in here... and that's my thing, so cheer up." She walked past me. "Well, are you going to talk about it?" She flopped onto the couch.

"I'd rather not." I moved to sit next to her. "Nic is out with Skye."

"And." Zara gave me a duh tone.

"And I'd prefer if she stayed the hell away from Skye. That girl is on a mission to steal my girlfriend." I turned to Zara. "You heard her. She wants me to trade my girlfriend for our business."

"And you chose not to. Terrible business decision, by the way." She flipped her hair over her shoulder.

"You know what?!"

"Chill, Alicia. Admit it... it's a terrible business decision." I opened my mouth to retort, but she beat me to it. "That doesn't mean we aren't going to side with you and fight that bitch. We aren't going to stop until she's lying in a grave. And then we are going to mutilate her."

"That sounds a little harsh." Gemma entered the room. "And highly illegal. And we already are trying to hide illegal business stuff, so I don't think we should be engaging in anything else that's illegal. We should be laying low." Gem sat next to me and gave me a hug.

"She will not get away with threatening our family." Tamsin crossed her arms and leaned against the wall. "She'll pay." She promised. "She wants to play dirty? Well, I can be the filthiest motherfucker she's ever encountered." Tamsin then left.

"We all can be." Zara smirked.

"Now, why don't you tell us why you're so insecure?" Gem gently rubbed my arm as she coaxed me.

Gem and Z were surprised by everything I told them. I told them about my past with Skye (which they actually weren't surprised about), how Nic cheated on me (Zara was pissed, but Gemma said that the both of us weren't being forthcoming with the other), and explained why I felt insecure.

"You should disclose your past with Nicola." Zara stated. "If you don't tell her, then Skye will manipulate the truth."

"I agree. And I know she loves you, so there shouldn't be anything to worry about." Gemma rested her head on my shoulder.

"Unfortunately, we can't engage in relationship damage control." Tamsin entered the room again. "We have an impromptu meeting in Cuba. We jet set in an hour. Get packing." She sympathetically looked at me.

The twins nodded and stood up. They waited for me to follow, but I told them I'd be up in a minute. They gave me questionable glances, but decided to leave. I took out my phone and tried calling Nic. I let out a sigh as it went straight to voicemail. I then texted her I'd be leaving and wouldn't have any service in Cuba.

I stood up and went to my room. I really didn't need to pack since our staff always had our luggage packed. I mainly just packed my school supplies in a bag. A thought then occurred to me.

I smiled at my friends' texts.
