《The Academy 2》23

I tried texting Ali since she wasn't in school today. She still hasn't responded back to me, so something is definitely wrong. The only one who arrived at school was Gemma. I was a little annoyed because I needed to work with Zara on our project, but I couldn't make any real progress since she was absent.
I was forced to sit and work by myself. I sent Zara multiple messages yelling at her. She annoyed me even further by showing me that she read the messages, but refused to respond back. I called her out, so she sent me a message saying "sucks to suck."
I wanted to see Ali and bitch out Zara, so I asked Gemma to take me to her house. I didn't have to convince her since she agreed right way. I took hold of her and Chico's hands as I prayed for my safe arrival. Gemma defended her driving and stated she was a safe driver. Chico burst out in laughter while I told her she was the exact opposite of a safe driver.
She kissed Chico goodbye and drove us home. I pointed out how she almost hit 2 deer in the span of 5 minutes. She grumbled something about them appearing out of nowhere.
I asked her about why her sisters weren't in school today. She claimed that they had a big fight yesterday. Well, that was to be expected. She said Zara blurted out that Ali and I were dating and her grandmother flipped a shit. She also demanded they went to conversion therapy. I raised a brow, but she nodded. She then said she was also going to tag along. I was even more confused at her statement. I was about to ask her to clarify, but she pulled into the garage.
We walked inside to see cameramen setting stuff up and people doing sound checks. Gemma told me that Tamsin and Ali were going to do an interview. She then decided to lead me to her room so that we could wait, but Tamsin swooped in. Tamsin placed her hands on my shoulders and guided me to the living room.
"Oh, you will want to stay for this." Tamsin deviously grinned from behind me.
"I thought you and Ali were supposed to be doing the interview?" I questioned her.
"We were, but plans changed. Those two are fighting, so why not confine them to a professional meeting... that'll be broadcasted live. They'll be forced to put aside their differences and talk to each other." So this was Tamsin's genius plan to get the two sisters speaking to each other again.
We walked so that we were out of frame, but could still watch the interview. The hosts sat down across from the sisters. You could practically feel the tension radiating off them as they tried to sit as far a part as possible on the loveseat.
"Hi, I'm Jenny." She shook the sisters' hands.
"And I'm Ryan." He mimicked Jenny's actions. "We're honored to have you take time out of your busy schedule to sit with us."
"Likewise." They bitterly spoke in unison.
The hosts then signaled the cameraman to start recording. They then turned with bright smiles on their faces.

"Hi, I'm Jenny." She turned to the camera.
"And I'm Ryan. Today, we have two of the McAllister clan. They're young, attending school, but still dominating their respective industries. How are you today, girls?" He beamed at them.
"Lovely." Ali faked a smile.
"Could be better." Zara rolled her eyes. Tamsin's eyebrows scrunched at Zara's attitude. Zara did realize this was live, right?
"Why don't you girls introduce yourselves?" Jenny ignored Zara's attitude.
"Sure, hi I'm Zara and I brought this sack of garbage to do the show with me. We'll be talking about a lot of different things. Most unimportant, some interesting-"
"Mostly about her." Ali interrupted with an eye roll.
"Like I said, some interesting... would you like me to do another take without the beast." She pointed at Ali. "As in her."
"Zara, you and your sister are two of the youngest women to ever enter Ford's 30 under 30 for a computer software company. What role do you play in the advancement and innovation?" Ryan asked.
"Yes, my sister and I are honored by that recognition. My role within the company is to help optimize the process. I engineered a new way-"
"Alright, alright, alright." Ali dismissed her sister.
"Alicia, you and your other sister are also recognized, but for pharmaceuticals instead." Jenny tried to focus on Alicia. "What would you say has been your greatest accomplishment?"
"I'd say the meetings where we consolidate and brainstorm ways to expand the company. For example, with GenenTech-"
"Wow, GenenTech." Zara made a mocking face. "How long was it until you dropped that name?" Zara made a dig.
"I guess when you have other jobs that you do... then you can drop your different kinds of work." Jenny's eyes widened in shock at Alicia's comment. "Sometimes it comes out naturally. I understand if it doesn't come out as naturally for other people..." She trailed off.
"Th-The two of you have worked together on some projects." Ryan began stuttering. "How has it been collaborating with each other?"
"I got to work with myself. It was an absolute joy. She's amazing. What a gracious partner. She was so good and so smart and so fun. I almost developed a crush on her. It was weird but we loved working together, me and me." Zara smiled widely.
"Just answer the question already." Ali glared.
"Good vibes only." Zara smirked.
"She's absolutely charming, isn't she?" Ali paused to look at her sister. "Are you hurt?
"No." Zara rolled her eyes.
"Like I cared." Zara made a move to touch her sister's arm. "Don't touch me." Ali curtly demanded.
"Are we good?" Zara questioned her sister.
"Sorry." Ali relented.
"Ok cool.. I'm trying to talk about myself so..."
"Alicia, you were nominated for an award for the youngest female in STEM." Jenny changed the topic.
"Yes and I was honored to be the recipient of the award-" Alicia began, only to be cut off by Zara.
"Oh you've won some awards, have you?" She mocked.
"No, I haven't won some awards." She mimicked Zara's voice. "Because I know you saw them. I caught you staring at the trophy yesterday in my closet." She paused. "So thirsty."

"I've never won an award." Zara admitted.
"No shit." The hosts were shocked by the sister's manners.
"Umm... What would you say differentiates you from your sister?" Jenny had no idea who to ask the question to.
"I guess not being as good as what the corporate level wanted. I guess her walking in and opening her mouth and then them saying 'that's not it'." Ali paused. "That would be my guess. I had the opposite thing happen to me." Ali then surveyed her sister once more before speaking. "I also don't really lie."
"Well, she should sometimes." Zara retorted.
"Ya, Zara can tell you that I'm sometimes a little harsh."
"A little?"
"You bitch." Ali glared at her sister.
"Uh, how about some fun questions?" Ryan tried to lighten the mood. "Fill in the black. Zara isn't happy unless...."
"No one is." Zara sarcastically quipped.
"Zara isn't happy unless Alicia looks bad." Alicia answered.
"That's not true at all. That's actually not true. I photographed her for hours yesterday."
"It wasn't yesterday. It was the day before."
"Oh, look who has it on her calendar." Zara began to simulate her writing in her palm. "Two days ago, Zara invited me to her room." Zara paused before speaking again. "I'm not the type of person to wake up and be happy that the sun is out."
"She's definitely no sleeping beauty." Alicia insulted.
"I'm not. I even look ugly when I sleep." Zara took the insult and ran with it.
"Okay, how about you do an impression of your sister?" Jenny asked Alicia.
"Jesus Fuck." Ali smirked at Zara.
"I would never take the Lord's name in vain. That's not me. That's not something I would say." Zara sarcastically stated.
"Fuck that cunt bitch ass fanny-" Ali began a stream of cuss words.
"You can't say... you can't ... they won't use it. Understand? You waste my life. You waste his life. You waste her life. Every life in here when you do that." Zara pointed at every crew member as she spoke.
"What has been your most intense moment, recently?" I felt bad as the hosts were struggling with this interview.
"Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God-"
"Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God, what?!" Alicia mocked her sister.
"I decided to take Uber once, never again by the way, it's not that interesting to talk about. I wouldn't waste your time-"
"He took her to the wrong place." Alicia forced her sister to continue relaying the story.
"He took me to the wrong place and we almost got in a fight. He was like this is it. He took me to a little shack, as if I was going to do porn in the valley. He then looks at me and he's like this is... there you go. And I'm like NO I've been here before and YOU are in the wrong place. It's up the street and we got into a big fight and then it got really tense. Like sexually charged I guess."
"I knew that was coming... here we go." Ali groaned.
"You know what I mean? Because we were so upset with each other and it was like Mr. and Mrs. Smith-"
"Like a hate fuck?" Ali questioned.
"And then we were like..." Zara began breathing heavy "and then I was like is this really going down and then I was like no. It's not." Zara concluded her story.
"Umm... I know you both are professional women, but I have a little game for you guys. It's totally fine if you don't want to play it." They signaled for Ryan to continue. "You both are single women? How about we play a game of F, marry, kill?"
"I can totally do that. Don't underestimate me. I can make any interview this good." Zara smiled.
"Maybe if you had put that under your special skills then you would've gotten the job. That sounds soooo impressive." Ali jabbed.
"Okay, F, marry, kill George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp." Jenny smiled, happy to get the sisters to act somewhat normal.
"Marry George Clooney, besides the fact that he's like my father. Marriage doesn't mean you have to have sex." Zara winked and hissed her teeth.
"Sure doesn't. It's like the definition of marriage." Ali snapped her fingers. "Wait, wait, I'm sorry. You're gonna marry your dad?! I need to take this back one step."
"Clooney is like a pretty cool guy." Zara stated her reasoning.
"That's like me saying our dad is chill so why not. Are you coked up?" Ali placed her hand on her sister's forehead.
"Umm... can you sing Zara?" Ryan inquired.
"Obviously you didn't watch my speech at the charity event." Zara stated.
"Oooof well okay, a star is born." Ali sat back at Zara's sarcasm.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Ryan sheepishly apologized.
"You have low self esteem. I have the same thing." Zara laughed. "My boyfriend is a deadhead. My sister is a deadhead." Ali gave Zara a confused face. "That is what it's called!" She glared at Ali.
"Sorry I'm not old like you." Ali grumbled.
"Wow... to be so young and youthful."
"Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God. You know what'll be fun? If I dump this over your head. It'll be like your initiation." Ali picked up her cup of water.
"Enough!" Tamsin signaled for the production to stop.
I was honestly surprised she allowed it to go on for so long. Zara and Ali stormed out their seats and went in opposite directions. Tamsin began demanding them to remove the interview from being broadcasted, but it was live so there wasn't anything they could do. Zara and Ali's passive aggressiveness had been watched by over a million people and it was most likely going to increase exponentially.
"Uh..." I looked around because I wasn't sure if I should chase after Ali.
"I'll arrange a car for you. They have to get ready for my dad to chew them out when he sees the video." Tamsin groaned and called for a chauffeur. "My sisters are in SO much trouble." That was the last thing she said before heading upstairs.
Damn, those two girls have a death wish.

As Illias Finn remains bound within the cell of an abandoned prison the curtain calls its chosen to descend into it's embrace. To be honest I will just write and upload whenever i feel like it, but if i find it getting relative success I can try write a bit more. This will just be a write, read then upload kind of thing for me while i try to flesh out more worldbuilding. I'm pretty novice when it comes to writing just a few years of secondary english under my belt but hardly any of that's creative. NGL, a lot of this world building is inspired by Tower of God or other fiction i have read, especially the tower-like setting.
