《The Academy 2》18

I flinched as the alarm clock blared. I turned to see Rosé literally fall out the bed to turn it off. I glanced down at the form on my chest that was slowly waking up. I didn't realize we fell asleep here last night. Well, it appears that I'm going to have to borrow some of Nic's clothes since I didn't have my uniform with me.
"Ahh!" Nic and I shot up at Rosé's scream. "There! There!" She pointed at a cockroach. "Please don't fly! Please don't fly!" She jumped onto our bed. "Why is there also a lizard in here?!" She pointed to a lizard that was lazily lounging across the room.
"Rosé, kill it!" Nic cuddled into her.
"Me?! You kill it!" Rosé squeezed her tight.
I rolled my eyes and hopped off the bed. Taking one of Rosé's shoes, to make a point, I smacked the life out of the bug. Rosé and Nic watched in shock as I moved across the room to pick up the lizard. I then walked back and picked up the dead bug to feed to the lizard. After he finished munching away, I opened the window and placed him outside before shutting it. I then turned around to raise my brow at the two whimps.
"Since when can she do that?" Rosé turned to Nic. "Out of everyone, I thought she'd be the least likely to kill it. Never in a million years would I have expected her to touch it with HER bare hands!"
"Gem has a pet lizard." I simply shrugged. "I'm used to having to feed Gem's lizard crickets or other bugs, so it's not a big deal for me." I walked to their bathroom to wash my hands. "Tamsin also has a pet snake. They're her favorite animal."

"Makes sense it'd be her favorite animal."
"More like her spirit animal." Nic laughed at Rosé's comment.
"So, I'm used to even picking up live rats." I wiped my hands. "Tamsin originally loved feeding live animals to her snake, but my parents thought they were harboring a psycho, so she's only allowed to feed dead animals now." I leaned against the door while looking at the pair. "Are you going to get ready? Class starts in 15." I glanced at my watch.
Rosé and Nic looked at each other before scrambling off the bed and fighting for the bathroom. I simply passed them and rummaged through my purse. I found a small container of mouthwash, which I used to gargle. I then placed an Altoid in my mouth.
I waltzed over to Nic's closet and began searching for a skirt and button down. I dressed myself in her clothes. The shirt was a bit small on me, but alas, I had a cardigan which I wrapped around my waist. The two girls finally exited the bathroom and scrambled to dress themselves. Nic was so frantic that I had to actually tie her tie. She quickly ran her fingers through her hair to make it presentable.
I laughed as the two girls dragged me out the dorm. It was also slightly humorous since they were running in the wrong direction. I had stopped and waited 10 seconds. They soon realized their error and ran back towards me. I interlaced my fingers with Nic and walked to our math class. Rosé, unfortunately, had a longer distance to run if she wanted to make it to her class on time.
"You appear to be a bit out of breath?" I whispered as we sat down.
"Hush." She huffed out. I smirked at her flushed face. "Not everyone is an athlete who doesn't get out of breath." She inhaled and exhaled.

"Of course, my love. That's it." I teased.
"Are you saying I'm out of shape?" She glared at me.
"Well, I'm not saying you're in shape..." I smirked at her glare. "But hey, if I naturally had a body like yours then I wouldn't need to exercise." She blushed at my words. "Seriously though, every curve and-"
"I get it!" Her face was beet red. "What are we even learning ?" She tried to pay attention to the teacher.
"Using Laplace in tangent with the Trapezoidal rule, but hey..." I wasn't about to halt my teasing. "Rosé interrupted us last night, do you want to sneak out so that I can properly trace your curves?" I gripped her thigh, causing her to hit her knee against the desk.
I quickly released my hand and averted my eyes as the class and teacher stopped to see what had caused the noise. Nic apologized and said a fly had startled her. A few kids snickered, but the teacher dismissed her and continued with the lesson. Nic then turned to glare at me while I gave her an innocent expression.
"You are insufferable!" She hissed.
"One of the things I excel in, I guess. Also, the sleepover is back on for this weekend." I whispered back. "Don't worry though, I'll get you alone so that you'll scream my name into the dead of night." Nic choked on air, causing the class to stop once again.
"Sorry, I need some water." She stood up and ran out the room.
"Well, you know... she's a very thirsty girl." The teacher didn't get my joke, so she turned around to continue on.

Souls of Savagery
Souls of Savagery is a series of short stories intended to function much like a comic book series. However, to experience the complete story in a logical order you should read the volumes in numerical order, starting of course, with Volume 1: A Bloodbath by Any Other Name. Each volume is told from a single point of view and that will change from volume to volume. Though, the narrative will require later volumes to return to characters that have been featured previously. I hope you enjoy.
