Dymitri Villacroixe
I stood at the corner of the hall, putting all my luggage at the group of other luggages at the side. As I finished, I fixed my glasses in the bridge of my nose as walked together with the other students to the Grand Hall.
Together, we saw the gigantic double doors ahead of us and when the moment we entered the hall, a very spacious and large area of hall welcomed us. They're were from five long tables inside from the front until it ends near the doors, with chairs of course. A stage was seen in front of the tables, with a golden podium at the center and another long table behind standing horizontally.
There were already students sitting at their table while us, the new comers, fresh first years and transferees were at the back for standby.
The hall was filled with different voices of loudness and laughter. The professors one by one went to their table at the stage as they sat down peacefully as if they're waiting for someone.
I fixed my eyeglasses as I sat alone in the corner of the hall, looking around to the area where students are talking to each other. The hall was filled with noises and laughter because of the new found friendship they beginning with.
Meanwhile, a burst of light suddenly appeared upstage and that caught the crowd's attention. They stopped at what they were doing a while ago as their eyes were mesmerized by the dazzling and sparkling beautiful light.
When it finally disappeared, a woman wearing white dress with gold and black design appeared. She's wearing a thick white fur coat and a pair of stilettos together with her hair tied in a high ponytail and wearing a small, glistening silver tiara.
"Behold, the Headmistress of the academy. Headmistress Demonise Mondragon." A man announced and the students and as well, teachers and staffs stood up together and applaud fir the standing woman in front of us.
"Take your seat children." Her voice was soft and her beauty is angelic, she smiled and which we did what she told us.
She had her welcome speech to the students who's silently looking and listening to her heartfelt speech.
"Tonight, you'll be marked with the deserving tattoos who defines your skills and knowledge individually. Good luck everyone!" And with that, she ends her speech with a genuine smile.

The Headmistress walks towards the center of the stage and then, she wave her hands in a particular motion, muttering something we don't know exactly what it is.
A moment after, a shining jewel appeared before in her hands, it was clear and shiny and the shape of it is heart. The Headmistress held the floating jewel in her hands, possessing the power of the jewel as she presented it to the watching crowd.
"This is the Crystal Heart of the Academy, the jewel of purity and light of the Zelquestria. It's one of the four jewels of Zelquestria who protects the land, itself. The Heart will put you in the house which you really belongs." Headmistress Demonise explained as we, the students were mesmerized by the beauty of the shining Heart.
"So, the Marking Ceremony will begin!" And with that, a scroll appeared in her side as her free hand took the thing and elegantly opened it.
She began to call names. One by one, the students she called went upstage, Headmistress Demonise held the jewel near the student as this jewel of purity and light emits a white light that slowly, spiralled to the student, identifying it's ability and where house it should put in.
After that, a tattoo will appear in any parts of his or her body but usually, it appears the most in the neck, shoulder, chest, hip and arms.
The current student is now walking downstairs as he walked down with a smile in his face after the Heart puts him in the Gamma. His tattoo was in his right arm.
The time went so fast, as the students themselves went downstage with a smile plastered in their faces. Actually, I don't care which house the Heart would put me. As long as I study and learn here, In okay with that.
"Dymitri Villacroixe." Headmistress Demonise called out, which is my name. I stood by walking to the aisle. Pair of eyes began to stare at me as I felt the burning sensation that their eyes pierced at my back.
I walked upstage and came near to the standing Headmistress of the Academy. She's wearing a smile in her face as we locked eyes.
"Are you ready?" She asks and I nodded as my answer.

The Headmistress let the power of the Crystal Heart surrounded me, as I felt the unexplainable feelings that the Heart's giving me.
A minute later until the Headmistress's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as the Heart is so slow to choose what tattoo should it gave me. The crowd in laughter and rejoice seems to calm down and focused their attention to the current happenings at the stage.
"Why does the Heart took so long?" She asked to herself and with that, the Heart sparkled but it turned into sparks where light emerge from the precious Crystal Heart of Zelquestria.
The Headmistress, along with the other professors and also the students were amazed and surprised. The light were spilt into five and flung around the area of the spacious hall.
"What's happening?" I asked but panic was evident to my voice until the pieces from the light went above me, they formed a circle and moved in a circular motion above me.
"Headmistress? W-what's happening?" I stammered looking at the pieces above me then looked at the woman beside me.
"They're were fighting." She replied as she looked at the pieces slowly revealed their true forms and eventually stopped midair.
It was the symbols, the symbols of each houses in the Academy.
"They're not moving." I whispered. I attempted to touch the nearest piece of symbol and when my finger touched the shiny surface, the light immediately crawl to my hand and with that, I felt something burning at the back of my hand.
When I looked it, I saw a tattoo drawn on my skin, with lavender colors. The remaining pieces went moving again as they flung around the area and went back to the Heart.
The whole crowd was surprised but eventually, it was cut by the Headmistress herself by announcing something,
"Omega!" She said and the crowd, slowly applaud.
I awkwardly walked down and went to my corresponding table. I sat down there, awkward and lowering my head.
"Wow, you're awesome man." I jolted my head up when I heard the person beside me spoke.
A warm smile radiated from him so I smiled a little.
"I'm Khalil by the way. Khalil Dela Torre but you can call me Ali for short." He offered his hand to me and I awkwardly reached it and the two of us did a hand shake.
"Are you a freshman or a transferee?" Ali curiously asked feeling giddy.
"Uhm, transferee." I replied shortly.
"Ooh. Really?" I nodded in response.
Time passed so fast and the ceremony ended, the Headmistress ordered to wait for our schedule cards and luggages to be put in our corresponding dorms.
Me and Ali went out, as he offered me to roam me around the campus. It was pretty fun until we noticed that the sun is already setting. We went back to the hall which fewer students were in. We forgot that the giving of schedules and dorm key takes an hour. After we went to a professor, he asked for my name and I replied. It took seconds until he gave me a gold card and a gold key.
I looked at my card and check my schedule.
꧁ •☽︎♔︎☾︎• ꧂
Name: Dymitri Villacroixe
House: Omega
Year and Section: 2-1
Age: 16
Birthdate: December 31, 20**
꧁ •☽︎♔︎☾︎• ꧂
At the back of the card, my class schedule was written there, as well as the room number of our homeroom.
"Woah, your 2-1! It means we're classmates!" Ali exclaimed, beaming a smile and clamping his hands happily.
"Really?" He nodded in response.
We happily walked to my room. It was in the third floor of the Omega Building while Alo was in the second floor. Ali and I decided to go for dinner later and as I bid my goodbye, he waved his hand until I finally closed the door.
I fixed my eyeglasses and went to the bed as I let my body fell in the soft bed. I began to roam my eyes around, checking every inch of my new room. It was actually larger than my room in my home.
I stood up and went to unpack all of my luggage, as I put them individually in their right and corresponding places. After a few hours, I sat back to the bed but eventually fell down, lying in the soft duvet. I closed my eyes shut for recalling what happened earlier and eventually, I fell asleep.
