~Merick's Point of View~
The elevator was very dim and dusty. It looked like it hadn't been used in years. My heart pounded.
"Go, go, go!" pleaded Trinity. I kept punching the buttons. No use.
I saw Damien look up and around the elevator. Some cords hung messily from a corner. He stood on his toes and grabbed them. Crackling, shocking noises came out of it. Suddenly the elevator jerked upwards at an insane pace. We screamed. It stopped after about five floors.
"Oops," mumbled Damien. I rolled my eyes. The word "control" was obviously not in his vocabulary.
"Nice job. You almost killed us," said Jenna. He glared down at her. It didn't matter the age and size difference. Jenna was heartless towards everyone.
"Would you rather have black ops shooting us down?" he grumbled.
"Do you honestly think there's going to be no more of them?" River sighed. He was right. Jenna ran a hand through her hair and groaned.
"Ok, we are now at the top floor. We need to work our way down. The best way to go would be through the labs. The men there are scientists, not guards," she spoke. We nodded gloomily.
Jenna led us down another hall and down a spiraling staircase. Being in this base gave me the feeling we were constantly being watched.
"Ok, the labs are through that big white door," she stated. Jenna's voice had gotten quieter and more shaky. I could tell she didn't like being here at all. We approached it. I put my hands on the door and tried to figure out how to open it.
"The polite thing to do would be to knock," a voice called out. Spinning around, my eyes widened in shock. The voice came from a small boy. He had dark skin and looked to be around the age of eight. His eyes looked like the girl's who we saw earlier. They were just as electrifying but his were green.
"Who are you?" Trinity asked as he came to approach us.

"Adam. Can you help me?" he asked, his voice cracking. He raised his hand toward her. Trinity reached out to grab it, but I smacked her hand away.
"Merick!" she scolded me. The boy looked at us in fear. I glared at him.
"He's one of them, Trinity," I grumbled.
"He's a child! What could he possibly do?" she exclaimed.
"Look behind him," River stated darkly. Trinity slowly walked behind him. She jumped back. A knife glimmered in his hand that he kept behind his back. Suddenly Adam lunged towards River. He caught his wrist and shoved him away. Adam started to laugh. His eyes shone even brighter.
"Adam, we don't want to hurt you," Trinity pleaded.
"Then I'll hurt you," he yelled. Thrusting his arm towards the wall, it collasped and broke apart. Dirt and rock spilled out.
"So that's it. He can control earth," I thought.
"Nice stash," River smiled, his eyes gleaming. Adam glared at him.
"Get going. This is my time to play," River beamed mischeviously, his eyes twinkling with ideas.
Jenna moved to the door. To the right of it was a keypad with numbers.
"I hope they still have the same password," she murmured to herself. Pressing in numbers, the pad shone green. The door slowly opened.
"Idiots didn't change it after I left. Pathetic," she rolled her eyes. We entered. The door closed.
~River's Point of View~
This little boy was definately going to make my day even more interesting. It was hard to fight him though. He was so young. But he was with them. The same people who took Emma. I sighed.
Adam lifted two large boulders and sent them at me. My eyes widened. This kid is at least a Level 3, which is very impressive for his age. I threw them to the wall. They broke into pieces. Morphing the pieces, I sent the newly made shards at his face.
The boy lifted a huge boulder infront of him as a shield. The shards stuck in it but only an inch or two. A drop of sweat ran down his head. He was getting nervous.
I examined the walls around me. I took out the other wall. Smiling, I watched as the earth came out. This boy was definately prepared. But not for me.

Raising the earth on both sides, I remade the walls. But they were stronger and were packed tightly togeather. Adam looked around frightened. He sent three more boulders rolling towards me. I shoved my foot under each one into the air and kicked them back at Adam.
He stopped them in midair. Adam was now hyperventalating and his eyes watered. The boy was scared. I smashed the boulders togeather and they became one huge one. Adam screamed. I sent it at him and it sent him flying to the end of the hallway. I breathed in deeply.
The walls near him began to move togeather, caving in Adam. He began to scream and cry. I grimaced as my heart clenched in pity. Finally, I stopped the walls. But they were tight enough that Adam was stuck and immobil. I walked towards him.
"Adam, do you know Emma Rose?" I asked him calmly. He glared at me.
"Like I would tell you!" He screamed in definance.
"When we are all done here, I'll let you out, ok? If you don't tell me, I'm keeping you here," I negotiated. Adam spat at me. I frowned, annoyed. Tightening the walls, he screamed.
"Ok, ok! Emma is a new arrival. So she won't be in the labs, not yet. I'm guessing they have her in a holding cell. A strong one too. I heard she's a level five," Adam squeled. I moved the walls farther apart to let him breathe. Clenching my teeth, I left to go find Riley.
~Emma's Point of View~
I jumped up from my sleep. The cell door opened. In came Tristan. Leaping from the bed, I lunged at him.
"You bastard!" I screamed. Raising my hand, I was about ready to blow him up. But nothing happened. He grabbed my wrist and thrusted me back to the bed.
"Calm down now," he threatened, glaring at me. I huffed angrily. Staring at my hands, I kept trying to conjure up even the smallest of flames. No use.
"What's going on?!" I demanded.
"It's the room. It's sort of... special," He chuckled mockingly. I sent dagger eyes at him.
"Within these walls, your elemental power is blocked," he explained.
"Then you're also powerless," I said.
"Good job. I had just thought you were all brawn, no brains. Maybe you aren't a total idiot," Tristan replied.
"I'll show you brawn," I yelled and ran towards him. He grinned and pulled out another needle. I swore. It was too late.
"Tristan, if you hurt her, I'm going to have your head," said a voice.
"It was just a simple tranquilizer, sir. No harm was done," Tristan replied, his voice higher. He must have been talking to a superior. My head spun and I groaned.
I opened my eyes and leaned up. I sat on a white bed. Tristan and a man sat in chairs near me.
"Hello Emma," smiled the man. His voice was as smooth as velvet.
"Who are you?" I asked rudely. Once again, he smiled his perfect smile. He looked to be in his late 20's or early 30's.
"That's not important right now," the man answered. He got up from his chair and walked towards a metal table. He lifted something that resembled a helmet and tried to softly place it on my head. I squirmed and pushed his arms away. Tristan drew in breath.
"Emma. I would advise you not to do that," he said, his voice a little less welcoming.
"Or what?" I said harshly. Tristan clicked his tongue and shook his head.
"Right now, you are in my territory, Emma. So if you want to live, I suggest you follow my word," he stated, his aqua eyes boring into mine. I stiffened. He placed the metal helmet on my head. I instantly felt shocks and energy entering me, running through my body, like it was searching me. I gasped. After a few minutes, the helmet began to shake and make noises.
"What's happening?" I asked, scared. The mans eyes grew as he stared at me. He pressed a button and the helmet shut off. He put it back on the table.
"The rumors are true," he whispered. I stared at him. Tristan glared at me. He looked envious and mad.
"Emma, do you understand how powerful you are?" he asked me. I twitched and looked at the ground.
"Come now," he said, standing. He walked out of the room. I stood cautiously and began to follow him, giving Tristan a smirk.
