~Merick's Point of View~

I went around the car to let Emma out. She blinked against the brightness. Riley and I walked at her sides and lead her towards the school.

Students in the courtyard and along the grounds stopped to gaze at us. I don't like going outside where girls can swarm me but for Riley, it's his favorite thing it the world.

"Heeyy!" he called to people, with a wave and a wink. He's enjoys the attention waaayyy too much. His face is like that of a little boy on Christmas.

Emma seemed to shrink under the pressure. I looked like a giant next to her. She kept her head down and didn't say anything.

I didn't like how scared she looked, so I moved closer to her and reached for her hand. She looked up at me with a small grin.

Riley looked at our hands and decided to gather even MORE attention. He put his arm around Emma and smiled broadly at the crowd. It was free period so there were a lot of people outside right now. Great.

Some girls let out gasps. People instantly started murmuring to each other with eyes that searched us.

It seemed like it took forever to finally reach the door. Riley burst through it, not caring how much noise he made. "Welcome to our humble aboad, Miss. Rose," he grinned at Emma.

She looked like a deer caught in the headlights when she saw everything.

I couldn't blame her. Not only was the school huge, it was fancy.

The furniture was red and red carpets laid across the stone floors. Portraits and paintings were along the stone walls. Two big winding staircases were at the far right and left.

"Which King did you kill to get a hold of this place?" asked Emma, still shocked.

I just smiled at her, since what she said actually could have actually happened. This place was old as Jesus. The headmaster was the only one aware of its origin.

Riley started skipping towards the right staircase.

"Aren't you guys, like, 17 years old?" Emma asked, staring at Riley's childish behavior.

"Physically, Riley is, but mentally, he's about six years old," I answered. She laughed.

"Hey! I heard that!" called out Riley.

As we climbed the staircase, I could see about half the students that were outside were crowding back inside. Nosy much? Their eyes started searching for where we went.

At the top of the staircase, we entered through a door. Down a hallway and to the right was the Headmasters wing. At the end of that hall, there was a big mahogany door.

"Ready?" I asked Emma. She paused then nodded. Riley pushed open the door.
