Keith's POV
"Have you found anything yet? I asked as Pidge typed furiously.
"I haven't found anything since you asked me twenty-two seconds ago," Pidge hissed. "Go bother someone else, I can't work with you breathing down my neck!" I snarled but complied, walking out of the dark room she called a home, and went to find comfort in Shiro.
I found him conversing with our consigliere Hunk Garrett. He's been a long time friend of Shiro and was an incredible detective before he was fired for violent conduct. Now he consults with Shiro about our business.
"Keith," Hunk says smiling at me. I nod in his direction.
"Any news from Pidge?" Shiro asks hopefully.
"Nothing," I say. Shiro frowns heavily. "Any luck, Hunk?"
"Not yet," Hunk says, shaking his head ruefully. "But I've got a slight idea where he might be. There's about six warehouses within Las Vegas perimeter. And within those four of them have been abandoned. It would be illogical for the perp to leave, seeing as he's using Lance as ransom. He's most likely keeping him in one of those places. But, I don't know for sure."
"Great then let's go and find out," I said, grabbing my car keys.
"Keith, it could be a trap," Hunk warns.
"And?" I asked, tapping my foot impatiently. "He could be doing God knows what to Lance right now. We're getting him back right now."
"I agree," Shiro said, putting the cigarette he was smoking out. A bad habit that's he's been somewhat trying to stop but never fully succeeding. The stress of Lance being kidnapped must have finally gotten to him. "C'mon keith let's--"
"HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!" Pidge screamed from the other room. The scream sent Shiro and I racing to her room to see her staring at the computer in shock.

"Pidge. What is it?" I cried.
"I've received a video," Pidge said. "It's Lance!"
"Play it." Shiro commanded. Pidge pressed a button on her laptop and the larger screen on the wall flickered to life. Suddenly a dark cell with Lance laying on it came to view. I glowered at Lance, unconscious and chained.
Suddenly a laugh seemed to shock Lance into awareness and he looked up. "Good morning, little blue," a man stepped forward and it was...Lotor! Zarkon's son and heir. I hissed. Lance shook and his eyes filled with tears. I clenched my fists in rage. "Oh, don't cry little one. All will be well. If Shiro and Keith come through you'll leave her just fine."
"W-What...are you t-talking about?" Lance asked before coughing.
"Oh dear, did they not tell you?" Lotor asked. No! No, don't tell him! "Oh precious blue, do you know what they do?"
"...they're salesmen," Lance answered. Lotor laughed.
"Oh sweetie," he cooed. "You really don't know, do you?"
"Know what?"
"Those men, Shiro and Keith, are apart of the Mafia," Lotor said. "Shiro? He's the Godfather and Keith runs the drugs and money intake."
"FUCK!!!" Shiro screamed. He picked up a very expensive looking chair and threw it against the wall. "GOD-FUCKING-DAMMIT!!"
"Shiro! I just bought that--" the glare Shiro sent shut Pidge up instantly.
"...the Mafia?" Lance squeaked, the poor thing trembling. I raged at the recording.
"Indeed, little blue," he said. "And it seems that the cold hearted killers have taken an interest in you. Not an easy feat I'd imagine. So, how'd you do it?"
"I..I don't know," Lance whispered sadly. I flinched at the tears that began to flow down his face. Were we the cause of them?

"Oh, you poor thing," Lotor said, stepping forward and cupping Lance's face. Bitch I will not hesitate--"If I had you, I would never have lied to you. You're too precious and beautiful to loose."
"So compliant," Lotor continued. "I might just keep you."
Lance whimpered and I screamed in rage. Lotor left the room and Lance was just sitting there shell shocked. "I'm about to commit homicide!" I screamed, looking for something to break. Pidge stopped me.
"That chair Shiro broke costed me three hundred fucking dollars," she hissed. "I will fuck you up in you break something!"
"Ah, little Blue, I figured you might hungry," I turned my attention back to the screen to see that Lotor has reentered and this time he brought food. "Here you are, love."
"Thanks.." Lance says.
"Ah, ah, ah," Lotor says. "Allow me." and then he fed him. I can help the growl that escapes my lips and a loud crashing sounds behind me as Shiro has broken yet another object.
"Goddammit Shiro!" Pidge screams.
"Ah, sorry love." Lotor says. Lotor had just unknowingly (or knowingly??) choked Lance with a french fry. Lance coughed for a few seconds before turning to look at Lotor.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm taking care of my baby," Lotor says. Another crash.
"I'm not even surprised at this fucking point," Pidge gripes.
"You're not my sugar daddy," Lance says. I smiled, that's my love!
"No, I suppose I'm not, huh?" Lotor laughs. "But I will be. As of right now, I am claiming you as mine."
"I'm a human being," Lance snarls. "You possessive ass. You can't fucking claim me!"
"You're quite feisty, I like that." Lotor says, before grabbing Lance's face, a very counterproductive measure. "Now, be obedient."
Lance relaxes almost instantly and I flinch, remembering what Rolo said about lance's 'obedience'. Fuck, this must be triggering him into a bad memory. I'm about to kick his mother fucking ass!
"Oh pretty blue, I hope Shiro and Keith never come for you." Lotor says, caressing Lance's face. How dare he? That face is Shiro and mine only! "Then you'll be here with me forever. Won't that be just wonderful?"
The video cuts out.
"I'm. Going. To. Kill. Him!" Shiro screams, his infuriated yells bouncing off the walls.
I nod in agreement and look at Pidge. "Were you able to track where that video was sent from?" I ask her. She nods.
"Good, where is our Lance?" Shiro demands.
"First you're gonna swear to pay for everything you broke," Pidge demands. Shiro curses loudly but agrees and Pidge sits back, satisfied. "He's at this location." She hands Shiro a paper.
"Thanks Pidge," I say before racing out of the room, following Shiro.
It's time for someone to die.

Breakers
My name is Joo In-gong. The name that my parents gave me meant ‘protagonist’ of the world. As anyone can predict, I was constantly teased due to my name. In kindergarten, elementary school, middle school and high school. If I went to university as planned then I would probably be laughed at there as well. So, at one point, I really hated my name. But not anymore. Now, I think slightly differently. Maybe being named Joo In-gong was a type of foreshadowing?

Nay, be it considered a tool at all? What dost the weapon do when the steel hath no guide, that the master hath mingled far? Doth it Stay? Perhaps quiver at possibility, the loss of reason for existence? Or does it go forth into the unknown, guided by merely the wind and the edge? The Last Marshal
Weird West Fantasy Noir Once the Republic Marshals brought order to the chaotic lands along the Frontier, facing dangers both human and supernatural with ancient wisdom and a six-gun —but that was a long time ago. Destroyed by conspiracy and betrayal, all that remains of that secretive order is one nameless man on a trek though the West seeking revenge on the woman he blames for the Marshals' fall and his disgrace. When a visitor from our world joins him on his journey, they together must confront the horrors of a strange land, the mysteries of the past and the real meaning of their quest for justice. The world of Tellus is what 19th Century Earth would have looked like if the stories of Poe, Ambrose Bierce, Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgeson were real. History in this world moves slower. The old faiths persist and civilization never conquered the dark corners of the map, at least not without being inextricably changed. Technology and culture takes a little longer to evolve in this land, as people here tend to spend more time pursuing their elaborate revenge plots or trying to avoid being the next sacrifice to the Outer Gods rather than advancing science or statecraft. Imagine Cormac McCarthy by way of Edgar Rice Burroughs, though a little less testosterone-drenched than that description would imply. Three caveats: First, there are deep mysteries here, including how such a world came to be and who controls it. Second, this world is not wholly unconnected from our own. There is a historical point of divergence, but in the distant past. To paraphrase Twain: history in this world is not a repeat of our own, but it does often rhyme. And finally, this is not a setting that lends itself to happy endings.
