《Silver Guns and Coffee Runs》7: The green eyed monster

Shiro's POV
I sighed for what felt like the seventh time today. Why was this so long? Keith and I had been stuck in a meeting with Coran for almost two hours. When he finally released us it was almost ten o'clock at night!
"Boss?" a voice called. I looked up to see Pidge, my Capo in technology staring at me with a scowl.
"What is it Pidge?" I asked. Pidge was a good Capo and she and Keith got along well. Keith even confessed to me that he thought of Pidge as a best friend. So naturally I started to become friends with her too. She's quite fun to be around. As long as you don't mess with her laptop or inventions. "And I thought I said to call me Shiro."
"Sorry, Don Shiro," Pidge said. I scowled at her. "But we got a problem."
"What is it?"
"One of our shipments is missing," Pidge said. I sighed loudly in anger. Dammit.
"Which one?"
"The gun shipment from Sicily." Pidge said. "We were supposed to receive thirty but we only have twenty-nine. We had thirty when I did inventory. I think we may have a rat."
"Perfect," I huffed. "This is just what I needed. Thanks Pidge."
"You got it Boss," Pidge said before leaving me. I glowered at my desk. The last thing I need right now is to deal with a rat among my ranks. I don't want to have deal with this, but I can send Allura to do it.
With my mind resolved I pick up the phone and dial Allura's number. "Hello?" a voice asks. It's not Allura but it's vaguely familiar, but I can't tell who it was over the distorted phone audio.
"This isn't Allura," I stated, wanting nothing more than to hang up. But I needed to know who had Allura's phone and why. "Who is this?"
"Her boyfriend," the voice responded. I heard a giggle on the other end.
"I wasn't aware that Allura had met someone," I said. This was a surprise. Allura hadn't mention that she was seeing anyone, or that she was interested in anyone.

"We just started dating tonight," the voice answered cheekily. "We work together."
"Oh? What do you do?" I answered, slightly more interested. They work together? Could it by chance be someone among my ranks? But wouldn't Allura have told me if she wanted to date somebody that worked for me?
"I'm a barista at Starbucks," the voice answered. There was bit of noise on the other end that sounded like talking but I couldn't make it out because it was so distorted. "Shut up," the voice hissed.
"Excuse me?" I asked, highly offended. What a rude little twerp!
"Oh, not you, I'm talking to my..girlfriend," the voice said. More giggles.
"You said you were a barista?" I asked. "That' strange. Allura only works with one barista....Lance?" Suddenly a horrible thought entered my head. Was Lance dating Allura? My chest tightened with jealousy and anger.
"Maybe." Lance said. I knew it was Lance now. I clenched my fist, my knuckles turning white. How dare she? She knew Lance was off-limits!
"You're dating...Allura?!" I asked again, wanting to make sure.
"Maybe."
"Lance, put Allura on the phone." I practically growled. I was going to give Allura a piece of my mind. Maybe even hurt her. She knows not to take what belongs to me. And Lance was mine! The only other person who could have Lance was Keith! No one else!
"Sorry Shiro, Allura and I are a little busy right now," he said. I clenched my teeth at the thought of what they were doing that counted as 'A little busy'. "Talk to you later, gotta go, bye!" he said fast.
"LANCE--" I roared but he had already hung up. I threw the phone, enraged.
How dare Allura do this? The possessiveness in me threatened to choke me as I flew into a fit of rage. I screamed and tossed a chair, huffing as the chair broke into splinters. I then took a deep breath and regained my composure.
I sat back down in my plush, red desk chair and pressed the call button on my phone.

"Yes sir?" my secretary, Romelle asked. I liked Romelle. She was nice and she wasn't afraid to do what had to be done.
"Call Keith," I said. "Tell him to get his ass down here, now."
"Yes sir." Romelle said before the line went dead, leaving me to my anger. I sat there while I waited for Keith to show up, trying not to break anything else. When Keith entered and saw the broken chair on the floor he took a deep breath.
"Okay, what happened?" Keith asked. I huffed.
"Apparently, Lance and Allura are a thing." I answered. Keith stared at me for a long time before he clenched the arms of the chair tightly, his tendons sticking up.
"What?" he hissed.
"I called Allura and he answered, claiming they were 'a little busy' and then hung up." I answered. Keith growled and stood up.
"How dare she?!" he screamed. "Didn't we tell her that we wanted him? That's a shitty move! I'm going to fucking kill her when I see her!"
"I have a better idea," I said. He looked at me expectantly. "Pidge has informed me there is a rat among our ranks. I suggest we find them and kill them."
"Taking our anger out on others?" Keith asked. I nodded and he smirked devilishly. "I like it."
"Good."
________________________________
We found the rat far too quickly for my tastes. All I had to do was ask Pidge to pull up the secret security cameras we installed in the warehouse. As it turns out, one of the delivery men took out all of the visible cameras before taking a single gun and handing it to a girl and pocketing the money.
I snarled and sent Keith to find the delivery man while I set out to find the girl. I had Pidge run facial recognition on the tape and she ID'd the delivery man to be a man named Rolo Camtz and the girl to be Nyma Runtz.
I told Keith not to kill the delivery man and instead bring him back to the Bellagio underground where out base of operations was located. I then told Pidge to run diagnostics on the tracker that was implanted in the gun and followed it.
Nyma was still carrying the gun case as she walked down an alleyway. She was far too close to Lance's house than I was comfortable with. I threw her against the wall and held her there, my knife at her throat.
"Why did you steal my guns?" I asked darkly. She stared at me, her eyes wide with fear. I pressed the knife closer to her neck. "I asked you a question."
"I....I...I-I needed to sell it!" Nyma cried. "I need the money!"
"So you decided to steal from me?" I asked.
"I'm sorry," Nyma wept.
"How did you know about the guns?" I asked. "Because I know you don't work for me!" Nyma stayed silent, and if she hadn't just stolen from me I might've respected her loyalty. But I didn't have time for her shit. I stabbed the knife into her arm and she screamed. I cupped her mouth and stabbed her again in the leg. "Talk!" I commanded.
"R-Rolo was an old friend from high school," Nyma said. "We dated the same guy! I introduced him to his ex-boyfriend Lance! I dated him and then introduced them together! H-He owed me!"
I perked up at the mention of Lance. There was no way she was talking about my--Allura's---Lance. I snarled at the reminder of who was currently doing Lance at the moment. I stepped back, letting Nyma fall to the ground. She yelped as the gravel dug into her skin.
"A-Are you letting me g-go?" she asked hopefully.
"No."
Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang.
"I'm afraid I can't let you go."
