《The Last Lycan Alpha King》Chapter 59

Dash's POV
"Come say hi." I told Cage who had just woken up and was standing at the door of Rosalie's room.
Hesitantly he dragged himself to where I was, he took a minute to look at his mother who was laying on the bed with less tubes connected to her body and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead before taking a seat beside me.
"Meet Adira Kella Kingston." I showed her to him.
"She's so small." He gushed. "And has mummy's small nose."
He touched her small nose and she moved her little arms aggressively making me laugh.
"I'm guessing she doesn't like that." I told him.
"Mummy doesn't like it either but I do it anyways." He shrugged and did it again.
I shook my head at him and chuckled.
My mother, Elena, Damon and Ackerly had gone into town to get some baby stuff while Dorothy and Hugo had gone to get Angelo and the others so it was just Cage and I.
"When is mummy going to wake up?" He asked with a frown as he looked over to her.
"I'm not sure when but she will wake up." I assured. "Your mummy is a very strong woman she'll pull through but all she needs us to do is take very
good care of Adira so that when she wakes up she'll see what a good big brother you've been."
"Ok." He nodded with a smile as his gaze shifted to Adira.
"But why is she so small?" I pouted.
"Because she is still a baby." I laughed getting up and holding one hand out to him while the other held Adira tight enough for her not to fall or get hurt. "Come, I'll make you lunch."
We went to the kitchen and I sat him on a barstool before going to the fridge, opening it and getting a milk.
"Mummy said you didn't know how to cook." He pointed out as I put a bowl and spoon in front of him.
"And that's why we are having cereal." I told him and got a box of lucky charms and poured some into the bowl before adding milk and doing the same for myself.

"Mummy says cereal is only meant for breakfast." He pointed out and put a spoonful in his mouth.
"Your mummy says a lot of this." I laughed.
"Yes and she's right most of the time."
"Can't argue with that." I chuckled and eat my cereal.
A few minutes after eating and clearing up Dorothy and Hugo arrived.
"Dash!" Penelope run to give me a hug but stopped when she saw the small being fast asleep in my arms. "Oh my goodness."
A sharp squeal ripped out of her making Adira start crying.
"Penelope." I scolded, placing her against my bare chest I started rubbing her back softly. Her cries soon turned into a muffled sound but before long she went silent indicating she had fallen asleep.
Because we had no incubator I had to put her against my bare skin because the heat it produced was sufficient to keep her warm.
"I'm sorry." She whispered. "It's just that she's so cute." She gushed.
"Aunty!" Cage run and hugged her.
"Little prince." She lifted him. "I missed you, how've you been?"
Angelo walked in beside Hugo while Shaun walked in holding heavily pregnant Charlie's hand.
"Hey man." I bro hugged Angelo and Shaun before turning to Charlie. "You look beautiful."
"Don't peptonize me." She rolled her eyes and I laughed giving her a side hug because her belly was huge and I was holding Adira.
"I missed teasing you." I poked her.
"I take back my words, I never missed him." She told Shaun and we laughed. "Is that her?" She asked.
"Yep, this is Adira Kella Kingston." I smiled showing her to them.
"She looks just like Rose." She gushed as her eyes teared up. "And you gave her the name she always said she'd give her baby if it was a girl."
"She's very beautiful." Penelope added with a huge smile.
Having chatted for a bit, I showed them to Rosalie's room. As expected the girls burst into tears and we had to console them. After that my mother,
Elena and Damon came back, we placed the baby in the incubator and after introducing Rosalie's parent's to the girls they were bombarded with questions.

"It's been a crazy few months." Shaun sighed exhausted as he flopped onto the seat.
"Tell me about it, I just discovered I'm not what I thought I was and became a father." I spoke.
"What do you mean you are not what you thought you were?" They stared at me wide eyed.
"It's a long story." I sighed.
I told them everything that happened from the time I left the pack to today in detail and in turn they told me about the pack and how Ericson was a pain.
"So does this mean you are coming back?" Angelo asked.
"Not yet, I'm waiting for Rose to wake up first." I told him.
"Alright." They nodded. "And Martha?"
"I think it's high time we told Charlie and Penelope about her, they'll deal with her in a way they deem fit."
"Are you sure about that." Angelo quizzed.
"Yep, they are Rosalie's best friends and it's the best compensation for keeping them in the dark about everything." I shrugged.
"I agree with Dash." Shaun spoke.
We called Penelope and Charlie and told them everything, at first they were pissed at us for keeping them in the dark for so long but were willing to put everything behind us thanks to Martha who was the peace offering. They all spent a few more hours before leaving, they didn't want anyone in the pack getting suspicious concerning their whereabouts.
After spending a little time in the office I went to Rosalie's room where I found Elena.
"She looks like you." I told her as I took a seat on the other side of the bed.
"Your sister and her friend said that too." She smiled and rubbed her arm against Rosalie's own. "Even her father."
"It's just sad I never got to spend time with her or watch her grown into the beautiful woman she is now." A tear rolled down her cheeks as she spoke.
"It's never too late to catch up." I held her hand and gave it an encouraging squeeze. "Just look at me, I despised my mother but here we are now, trying to work things out. I was never present in my son's life till recently and we've built an unbreakable bond, whether you were there in the past or not doesn't matter, what does is that you are here now and trying to be present in her life."
"Thank you." She smiled.
"Anytime." I smiled back. "So how much damage did the poison do?"
"A lot." She sighed. "It killed her wolf."
"Completely?"
"Yes." She nodded.
"I should have realized sooner." I raked my hair the feeling of guilt settling in my gut.
"It's not your fault, her wolf was dead before you brought her in." She assured. "But on the bright side her witch abilities have been activated."
"She's not going to take this well." I sighed.
"I know and that's why we need to be there for her, I know you have a lot on your plate with the kids and learning about your true identity and powers but she'll need you." She told me. "I know you both haven't been on great terms for a long while but it's time to set all that aside and put her first."
"I'm always going to be here for her." I responded. "And this time I'm not going to let anything cause a rift between us."
"Good because if you dare hurt my daughter again, I'll murder you, king or not." She warned seriously.
"I swear, I won't ever do anything to hurt her." I assured.
"Good because when she wakes up it's going to be really hard for her." Elena told me.
"Then it's a good thing she'll be surrounded by those that love her." I looked at her with a small smile on my face.
We sat in comfortable silence and watched Rosalie as she slept peacefully, I caressed her cheek and pecked it before going to check on Adira who
was sleeping peacefully.
