Dash's POV
Finally, after months of searching and working with my mother I finally found where Rosalie and my son where being kept. And with the help of an inside man and 2 other men who had a score to settle, we formulated a full proof plan to rescue them and kill every single creature involved.
"Something doesn't add up here, how were they able to kidnap them without leaving as much as a trace." My mother spoke bringing it to my attention.
"They must have had a man on the inside." Hugo said before turning to look at me. "Do you know anyone who hates her enough to do this?"
"Well thanks to me a lot of people don't like her." I sighed feeling disappointed in myself.
"Well then you better narrow the list down to those you think have the most motive." Curt stated. "We will be able to kill these fuckers and rescue
your girlfriend but if you don't get rid of the threat within your pack, who's to say it won't happen again."
"I'll get on it." I nod, understanding what they meant.
Just on queue Ackerly and Lawrence walked in with the bags of weapons.
"As promised." He said when dumping the bags to the ground.
"Let's get started then." My mother told the guys to pick up the bags and follow her.
"I'll be there in a minute."
Stepping away from everyone, I took out my burner phone and called Angelo.
"Hey Bro, how's it going?" He asked upon picking up on the first ring.
"So far so good." I sighed running a hand through my hair. "What of there, how are you holding up?"
"Controlling your stupid ass brother, great." He replied sarcastically. "At least Penny is helping out."
"And Shaun?"
"He's alright, just extremely occupied with taking care of Charlie, she'd due in a few weeks you know."
"Rosalie and Cage will safely be home by then." I smiled at the thought of being able to see them again. "Speaking of which, I need you to look into something for me."

"What is it?"
"I need you to find out who among the people in the pack helped in the kidnapping of Rosalie and Cage, clearly whoever did this had help from the inside."
"Who do you have anyone in mind?"
"Not really but I think we can first begin with those closest to us and knows the pack really well."
"Alright, I'll get right on it."
"Great, thanks bro." I sighed feeling grateful. "Also don't tell anyone but Shaun about it, we don't know just how closer the traitor may be to us."
"You got it."
Prolonging the conversation for a few minutes, we bid each other goodbye and hang up.
"How's everything going so far?" I asked as I walked into the basement that my mother had now turned into a lab where she came up with different potions that could kill the creatures that held Rosalie and Cage captive.
With Lawrence's input we were able to determine that the creature were in fact a mutated breed of werewolves and couldn't be killed by mere silver bullets or wolfs bane, so we made various portions and tested them on the 3 creatures we had taken into captivity after failing to cooperate. Over the weeks we had finally developed a concoction that could kill the creatures in a heartbeat, we improved it a little and now it was ready.
"Just as planned." My mother smiled.
"Great, I'll go get the cars ready." I stated.
"I'll help you out." Ackerly walked out with me to the garage.
After reaching out to him for help in acquiring certain weapons and herbs needed for our mission, he gladly got on board offering everything he had even though many were going to condemn him if they found out.
Having set up everything and going through the plan one last time everyone when off to get some rest, they advised I do the same as we had a long day ahead of us but I just couldn't get any sleep, my mind kept wondering back to Rosalie and Cage, how they were and their reaction when I see them again after so many months, how much my unborn baby had grown in its mother's womb and what gender it was going to be.

"Can't sleep?" My mother asked as she took seat next to me on the porch swing.
There was a warm breeze that helped calm myself and my wolf to some extent.
"Yeah." I sigh running a hand through my already messy hair.
"Me either." She mimicked my actions. "I just hope everything goes according to plan and we get them back safely."
"It will so long as we all stick to the plan." I spoke more to myself than her.
She was not the only one having such thoughts, they had crossed my mind more than a few times and the only thing that kept me going was the hope of seeing my mate and son again. I kept reminding myself that I couldn't afford to make a mistake, it would cost the people I loved and losing them would be the end of me.
"I can't afford to lose them." I confessed. "I've already put her through enough, I can't be the reason her and my children die."
"Come here." She tried to pull me into her arms for a hug, but I stopped her.
"I'm only here and working with you because I want Rosalie, Cage and the baby to be returned in one piece nothing more, I don't want to have anything do with you and after all this is done, I honestly don't want you in my life." I told her and got up. "I won't deny you access to your grandchildren but as for me, I want to keep the same distance you kept when I left your husbands house."
Not waiting for her to respond I walked away. Taking a walk through the woods that surrounded the house we had camped in I blocked out any thoughts that would distract me from achieving my main goal.
2 hours before the break of dawn we loaded the cars and started for the road. I rod with my mother and the ride was so silent the only sounds you could hear where that of the roaring engine and wind.
When we reached were I was supposed to drop her off, I parked the car off the road and turned off the car.
"This is my stop I guess." She sighed before turning to me. "I know you don't want to hear anything from me but please be safe out there."
Being polite I gave a curt nod.
"I love you Dash, I always have." She unbuckled her seatbelt, leaned in and placed a tender motherly kiss on the side of my head. "I love you." She repeated and for once I could feel the through emotions in her voice.
"Be ready for when they arrive." I Stated.
With a nod and sigh she got all the necessary things out of the car and hopped out.
Seeing her disappear into the motel room I had booked a few days ago I got back on the road. Noticing the small white piece of paper on the chair, I got it and unfolded it to see the content. To my surprise it was a letter reading.
My dearest son...
I know you hate me and I honestly don't blame you, I haven't been the best mother, hell, I haven't been a mother to you at all and I regret not being there for you every second of my life. There's nothing I can say that can justify my mistakes but after everything is done I just want a few seconds to at least explain myself.
I admire your persistence with getting back your family and I wish the goddess be with you every step of the way.
I love you my boy, take care and kick those bastards' asses, show them why you're alpha.
-Your mother.
Feeling a certain warmth in my chest I placed the note in my pocket and smiled upon touching the spot she had placed a kiss earlier.
"Maybe it's time to let go of your grudge." Scar pointed out.
"We'll deal with this later for now, Rose, Cage and the baby are top priority." I reminded and he agreed.
