《The Last Lycan Alpha King》Chapter 42

Rosalie's POV
The next morning I woke up earlier than expected but I still got up completely ignoring how tired I felt since I no longer felt sleepy.
Sighing I looked over to see Dash still fast asleep snoring lowly, he did look cute and peaceful when he was asleep, removing the strands of hair that had fallen on his face I moved them and kissed his forehead before getting out of bed and beginning my daily routine.
While making breakfast an arm wrapped around my waist pulling me against their owner, I didn't need to turn as to know who it was, his scent that engulfed and made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside spoke for him.
"Good morning." I sighed leaning more into him.
"Morning Rosy." Dash replied in a gruff voice indicating he had just awoken. He buried his face in my hair before turning me to face him.
"How are you?" I asked caressing his cheek and he leaned into my touch.
"Honestly." He sighed deeply. "Better than I have in a long while."
"That's good." I smiled genuinely happy he felt better. He had even changed back into his clothes that I had made sure to dry before falling asleep.
Last night was rough for us both and we talked about a lot of things that had drained us emotionally and physically.
Leaning in Dash kissed me but I pulled away.
"Dash us talking last night didn't mean we are back together." My words caused him to frown.
"Why?" He frowned even more.
"Yes you had a messed up childhood but hey I did too." I pointed out. "But that's no excuse for what you did and how you treated me."
"I know and I'm sorry Rosy."
"Your apology won't fix this Dash, you broke and humiliated me, it's hard to just forgive and forget it all and act like shit never happened."
"I said I'm sorry." Anger flashed in his eyes.
"Yes I know and I want to forgive you really but I'll need a lot of time to do it, forgiveness is a gradual process not instant." I explained. "And you at least owe me that much."

"Ok, I understand." He nodded curtly his head with a sigh.
"Let's have breakfast." I spoke pulling away but he held me against his chest burying his face in my neck whispering 5 more minutes please. Sighing I agreed and wrapped my arms around him too as we stood in comfortable silence.
Finally pulling away I dished our food and we sat at the counter.
We sat and ate in silence till I spoke, something had been bothering my peace and I needed an honest answer from him.
"Where you really going to mate her?"
"Hmm?" He shifted his attention from the plate to my face.
"Where you going to mate Lucinda?" I repeated seriously.
"No." His unhesitant response made my lips curve into a small smile.
"Hmm." I hummed putting a piece of beacon in my mouth and chewing slowly.
A loud bang had me jumping out of my skin while holding my stomach protectively.
"I'll check." Not waiting for my response he went into the direction the sound had come from but came back seconds later. "Its the wind, it knocked down one of your mannequins."
"Ok." Relief overtook my body at the news.
"How old?"
"Huh?" I asked but clarity replaced my confusion when I found his gaze fixed on my stomach.
"I don't know." I shrugged with a smile. "Found out a week ago."
"Oh." His eyes glimmered as his lips tugged into a small smile. "Have you visited a doctor."
"No." I shook my head. "I didn't want anyone to know yet."
"Can I go with you." He asked and added the last part when I gave him a questioning look. "To your first check up."
"Yeah, totally you are the father after all." I smiled before getting up adding some more juice to my glass. "More?" I rose the jar to Dash, with a simple nod I moved over to his side and poured some for him.
"Can I see?" His voice was so barely audible but thanks to my super hearing I heard him.

"I guess." Shrugging I pulled up my shirt exposing my bare stomach.
Dash leaned his head against it and whispered.
"Hey there little one."
Seeing this made my heart clench with so much joy my eyes teared up.
"Daddy's here." He kissed my stomach before adding. "I love you."
The last 3 words had the tears I was trying hard to hold back rolling down my cheeks. He loved our baby.
"Are you ok?" He looked up at me.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I sniffed wiping the tears off.
"Pregnancy hormones." He teased making me laugh.
"This is barely a glimpse of the real deal."
"Well I can't wait for the real deal." His answer yet again sent a warm feeling to my heart that had me getting all emotional again.
"You're an amazing father and alpha." I complimented.
Yes he wasn't a perfect man but I had to give him a hand of applause as he did great in the two areas regardless of what was happening in his life.
"I don't know if I'll carry on being alpha anymore." He sighed.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I frowned.
"Titus says if I don't have a mate in 2 weeks my title will be ripped away and given to Ericson." He stated.
"That's unheard of, it's your birthright." I gasped.
"There's always a first for everything right." He shrugged.
"Is that why you decided to mate Lucinda?" I hated saying her name out loud.
"Yes, but I wasn't going to make her my Luna I just needed he to buy me some time so I can figure everything out."
"It's gonna be ok." I pecked his forehead before returning to my seat.
We talked on and on about many things especially the safety and well-being of our children before he bid me goodbye and promising he would be back to check on me.
For the longest time I couldn't stop smiling as I was happy, it's the happiest I had been in years.
I felt so free and happy after letting out everything that kept me prisoner.
Dash's POV
Serenity came as a foreign feeling to me as I hadn't felt it in years but today I felt it, yes Rosalie hadn't forgive me for what I had done and honestly I didn't blame me, she had every right but I was still glad she didn't say she hated me either.
The voices in my head had stilled leaving my mind tranquil.
Opening up about my past has is something I had never done till last night and talking about it actually made me feel better. My walk home gave me enough time to think reflect on my life and like Rosalie advised I had to just forget everything and focus on the things that mattered most that were my kids, her and the pack.
Angelo and Shaun barging into my office had me snapping out of my happy thoughts. My gaze focused on them as they breathed heavily.
"Dash what have you done?" Angelo was first to speak and I got confused.
"Pardon?"
"Dude where's Rosalie?" Shaun bellowed.
"I don't know, at her house." I shrugged.
We had decided to keep our getting along a secret as we didn't want anyone rushing the process.
"She's not there, what have you done to her?"
"Nothing, I left she was at her place earlier." My brows furrowed.
"Why was your scent there?" Shaun asked accusingly.
"I went to talk and we did." I snapped at him for even thinking I would hurt her. "What's going on?"
"She's missing."

School-life & Swordfights: A Clubs and Stubs Tale
Warning: Clubs and Stubs contains strong language and situations throughout that may not be suitable for younger readers. "This story takes place in a fantasy world with a modernish setting. It mainly follows four students of Hardires High School who are members of one of the greatest Team Arena Squads in the history of gladiatorial school athletics. Already two-time high-school world champions, they have entered their fourth and final year of high school in hopes of capturing a third straight world championship—something that no other school on the continent has accomplished. As they prepare for an upcoming match with a rival school, it becomes evident that keeping their two-and-a-half-year winning streak alive will be tougher than expected. As both personal and external problems abound for the student-gladiators, can they manage to keep it together under the constant pressure of being the perfect fighting unit? A blend of action, drama, adventure, and humor collide in this brand-new series!" Thanks so much for checking out my story! This is the first time that I've released any of my work to a public space so any feedback, be it positive or negative (but please be respectful if so) would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping that this story is only the beginning of a long-running series of short stories set in the Clubs and Stubs universe. Temporary Book Cover Design by David Watson The release schedule is rather tentative, but the goal is to release a chapter every 2-4 days. I want to make sure that every scene is the best it can be before it’s released, so it may take a bit longer especially if it's a longer chapter. However, no chapter should take more than a week to be released. Each scene varies in length, but are usually between 1,000 to 2,000 words.

Conquest Of Mortem
*NOTE* This novel is a war of attrition. To say anything less is a disservice to its demand. While comparable to other such works as Ulysses or Moby Dick, each sentence in Conquest is an enemy to be tackled. Not in the ways of difficulty but in absurd density that wishes nothing more than to destroy what patience you may have. Do not tackle chapters as you would ordinary chapters in an ordinary book. Tackle each chapter as a book unto itself. A foe to be vanquished, a period of life to leave behind. Seek to be master of this work. Seek to overcome. For in its design is the willpower, and the perseverance, and the strength of someone who sought meaning in struggle. As I discovered these in times of ultimate desperation, so I hope for you to discover these things. This novel is a love letter to your trials. May you overcome them. May you master them. May you become conquerer.- SeedSagaA literary epic for logophiles, philosophers, and poets alike. A journey into zeitgeist, the impact of media on culture, and the endurance of morality against an onslaught of hatred. These vague descriptions do little to compact Conquest's density into a bite-size summary. They do however relate the basest themes found within. A plot, if such can be surmised, is strung thinly across multiple perspectives, weaving together these concepts into a seemingly distorted tapestry of indecipherable events. Inspired by early 20th century modernism, Conquest will challenge the reader, and provide critique on the medium upon which all great stories are derived. Further interpretation is up to you now; an explorer among a sea of words. Venture on and discover what lies ahead, in...CONQUEST OF MORTEM
