《The Last Lycan Alpha King》Chapter 36

Dash's POV.
"Your mum is here." Penelope repeated for the third time. "She's in the main lounge."
"Grandma." Cage beamed and I shook my head no.
"Thanks for the heads up Penny." I gave a curt nod before giving Cage to her. "Take him to his mum."
"But daddy I wanna see grandma too." He pouted.
"You will later ok."
"Promise?"
"Promise." I answered kissing his hair and he smiled.
Heading to the lounge many thoughts crossed my mind as to why she would have come here, was I curious certainly yes but I was afraid too.
The closer I got the heavier my feet became, her lilac scent that I still remember filled my nose reminding me of all the awful memories.
"What are you doing here?" I spat bitterly staring at the face of the woman that gave birth to me. She hadn't changed much but looked more beautiful in the outfit and hairstyle she had. Normally a son would pull her embrace her warmly but that wasn't the case, I wanted to detach her head from her body.
"Well." She got up her hazel eyes boring into mine. "I see your father skipped teaching you some courtesy or mere manners."
"State your business Evita." My father barked anger drenching his tone.
"Oh hush Titus I'm talking to my son." She responded with the same energy.
They hated each other and that was know to me long ago I wished they could get along if not for themselves then for me but as years went by I realized it was never going to happen they were too far gone.
"Mind your tone or else." He took stepped closer.
"Or else what Titus, what the hell will your old ass fucking do." She challenged.
Not caring if the injured themselves I sat down and scrolled through my phone till they decided to grow up.

"And you." My mother turned to face me. "Are you just going to let this old riffraff disrespect me."
"That's your mates job not mine, speaking of which." I scanned the room. "Where is dear William."
She frowned at my question before a sigh followed her answer. "He passed on last month."
"No fucking way!" I laughed. "That motherfucker finally left this earth."
"Dashiell Acheros Grant Kingston." She gasped.
"Don't call my names." I growled hating how my names rolled off her tongue.
"I will call your names, I gave birth to you!" She yelled.
"So fucking what!" My cool finally snapped.
I had enough of her reminding me on how she had given birth to me.
"Show some respect!"
"Evita what do you want in my territory." I wasn't up for any argument with anyone much less her.
"Refer to me as mother." She demanded.
"You lost that right years ago." I scoffed. "If you have no agenda in my pack leave."
"I'm still a member of this pack and I will not leave." She said sternly.
"I could care less." Rolling my eyes I walked away.
I had more pressing issues to sort out than her.
Rosalie's POV
"Mummy are you alright." Cage asked worriedly as I leaned against marble wall of the toilet trying to catch my breath.
"I'm fine baby."
"You said that yesterday but you still sick." He frowned.
Beckoning him over I pulled him to my lap and cuddled him.
"I'm ok baby just a little under the weather that's all." I kissed his hair.
"Maybe I should tell daddy." He tried to get up but I stopped him.
"That's not necessary, I'll be alright all I need is your cuddles."
"Get better soon mummy." He gave a small smile.
Smiling as well I got up and rinsed my mouth before going to bed.

"Get well soon mummy." Cage kissed the my forehead.
"Thanks baby." Smiling I snuggled into his small body.
It's been 3 weeks since I told Dash the truth and if he wasn't avoiding me before he surely was now but I wasn't the only one as may barely met eye to eye with him, the only person he often talked to was Cage.
He definitely had a sour relationship with his mother and I found it weird as she was his mother, but didn't think much of it as I didn't have the energy especially now that I hadn't been feeling too well for the past weeks. No one including Martha, Penelope and Charlie knew about it and I intended to keep it that way.
The next morning I jerked out of bed, sprinting to the bathroom kneeling before the toilet I vomited my guts out.
Emptying all the content in my stomach I got up and rinsed my mouth before seating on the edge of the bathtub.
"Why do I keep feeling like this?" I frowned asking Normy who had to have an idea.
"I don't know, you're the human you should know better." She responded making me groan.
"I swear you as so useless sometimes." I blocked her out of my head.
Rubbing my stomach I decided to take a quick shower before getting dressed and also getting Cage ready for the day.
We quietly walked into the kitchen only to find Dash and his mother arguing.
"I don't care!" Dash bellowed.
"I swear you are just like your father!" Evita yelled. "A fucking self centered scumbag!"
"And you are nothing but a whore you-"
Before he could finish his sentence Cage called his name and both with furious expressions on their face turned to face us.
"Why are you both yelling?" He frowned looking between mother and son when you look close enough shared some similar features like their eyes and hair color.
"Nothing champ." Dash walked over to us and kissed his hair with a heavy sigh.
His scent invaded my nose making me feel slightly better and I closed my eyes savouring it. The second my eyes opened I found Evita staring at me.
"I believe you are the mother of his child right?" She asked and I gave a curt nod earning a scoff. "How did you conceive him?"
"The normal way I guess." I shrugged. Pack members knowing the truth was more than enough, I didn't need her judging me as well.
"Rumor has it he-"
"Where are you going with this." Dash growled lowly glaring daggers at his mother.
"I wasn't talking to you Dashiell."
"Don't call me that." He spat.
"It's your birth name and I will call you by it." She retorted.
Seeing how the 2 lost their tempers in a shot period of time showed just how much they had in common.
Suddenly a strong urge to vomit overtook me and I pushed Cage into Dash's arms before sprinting to my room.
After vomiting I sat staring at the ceiling wondering what was wrong with me, often getting sick wasn't normal for us werewolves as we had a strong immune system.
I kept thinking and thinking till a thought that had me quivering popped in my mind.
It couldn't be what I was thinking, it couldn't.
Gathering enough energy I got off the ground and got the unused pregnancy testing kit Penelope had left in my room.
Follow all the instructions I placed the testing stick on the marble countertop and paced around praying for it not to be positive as I waited.
10 minutes later with shaky hands I cautiously lifted the stick and my heart sunk at the sight of two red vertical lines.
I was pregnant.

The Curio Shoppe
Kellan Klein is an ordinary college student with an average, if traumatic and painful past. Everyone grows up grappling with depression and anxiety that seem to be genetic in a house with parents that, while loving, fight all the time and have weird ideas about what kids should and shouldn't do, right? Everyone deals with bullying, racism, judgement on their romantic inclinations and their family's economic status and just general shittiness, right? All of Kellan's friends sure did, and for all of them, entertaiment media were a welcome escape from their painful, dreary lives. After all, who wouldn't want to sail the seas with Monkey D. Luffy and the Strawhats, or help Meng Hao con increasingly powerful and influential people, or join Cecil Harvey and his friends on their weird journey to save the world, or make friends with Peter Parker while pretending to not know he was everyone's favorite wall-crawling superhero? Kellan certainly wanted to, and while he pursued college to seek out a career he saw himself enjoying, something felt inexplicably empty about his life. So when a decidely sinister force kidnaps him and the prettiest man he's ever seen saves his life and offers him his wildest dreams, Kellan becomes the shopkeeper of a mysterious, dimension hopping shop, complete with a system that helps him acquire items. abilities, materials, and other cool shit to stock it with, as well as some other neat perks. Will Kellan become a boring overpowered MC, like the kind from web fiction that he reads to sate his boredom? Will he keep his generally kind, sweet nature despite the shit he's gone through and will go through, or will he inexplicably become a scary, violent, irrational arrogant douchebag? Will he use his newfound abilities to explore the multiverse and improve the lives of himself and others, or will he become his own antithesis, a purely mercantile jerk obsessed with money and profit, with no concern for anything that doesn't help or hurt his business? Find out in The Curio Shoppe! Author's note: Please suggest possible setting he could visit in the comments. I'll gather ones i'm familiar with, and at the end of every arc, a poll will be held to decide the next location he visits. There will be polls for other purposes, and I might not always go with the poll winner if I feel one of the other options is more fun to read/write about. I will not use the settings of other RRL writers without their permission.Do not ask for that, unless the author in question gives permission. Most settings he visits will be slightly AU in some way or another, but please remind me if I drift too far from canon unintentionally or characterize a character wrongly. This work will eventually fit all tags I selected once he visits universes suited to those tags, so don't ask when or where a given tag is coming. I do not own the cover art, it belongs to Nicholas Belanger Thiel, and I will stop using it if he asks me to. Kellan doesn't look like the old man on the cover, though once he acquires a disguise-type ability he may occasionally use that appearance. The tapir, however, will be a thing, as despite looking like a failed attempt at an elephant, tapirs are cool and this dragon finds them to be kinda cute.
