Rosalie's POV
It had been a few hours since Martha had Dash's blood injected into her bloodstream but I was not sure as to why he had all of a sudden agreed to helping.
"Why?" I asked when it was just him and I in the room.
"Why what?" I asked with a hint of mischief in his eyes making it know to me that he was in fact aware of what I was inquiring on.
"Don't act smart with me alpha." I snarled making him smirk. "Why did you out of the blues decide to help."
"Because my son cares about her and I am curious as to know what attacked her, why it did and how it all went down." He shrugged simply.
"I know you are up to something and whatever it is, I will find out." I made sure to emphasize the last part as for it to sink in.
"And you will find absolutely nothing." He smirked tauntingly. "Besides I'm pretty sure you should be grateful and praising me for saving your friends life."
"Bloody bastard." I whispered under my breath as Charlie, Jack and Shaun waltzed into the room.
"Why isn't she waking up?" I looked over to Charlie who was checking Martha's vitals.
"Relax Ro, it's only been what." He checked the gold watch on his wrist. "An hour."
"The blood takes time to work Rosalie." She responded not once meeting my gaze.
"Just relax." Shaun gave my shoulder a gentle squeeze and I nodded.
He was right, all I needed to do was to relax, everything was going to be alright.
I had no idea how much time had passed since I had fallen asleep but a gentle squeeze of my hand almost immediately had me wide awake.

Looking up my eyes met with the warm ocean blue eyes I had missed so much.
"Martha." I smiled pulling her hand to my mouth and kissing it. "I missed you so much."
She opened her mouth trying to speak but nothing came out.
I slowly helped her sit up and put a straw between her chapped lips figuring that her throat was parched. She slowly sucked some water sighing with relief.
"Am I alive or in heaven." She joked the second I put the cup down.
"Seriously." I chuckled shaking my head in disbelief. And here I was thinking she would say something sensible.
"What?"
"No you are not in heaven, you are still 100% alive." I caressed her face and she leaned into my touch. "I told you I wasn't going to let you die."
"Thank you." She smiled.
After a while I called Charlie and she did some routine checkups.
"Everything seems to be working normally." She started. "Although her heart still is weak."
"Ok."
"She'll need to have lots of rest and food." She added.
"Alright." I nodded. "You here that, you are going to be back to normal in no time." I told Martha with a smile.
"I don't know about that." Charlie spoke under her breath.
"Excuse you." I narrowed my eyes at her.
"Nothing." She shook her head turning away. After she was finished with everything she called me to her office.
"You forgot to mention she's not like us." She glared.
"So what, you already told your alpha?" I asked in an I don't care tone when I clearly did care.
"It won't be necessary, she's no longer one, does she even know what you really are?" She added when I gave her a flabbergasted expression.

"She doesn't." I bit down on my bottom lip.
"Well you should considering she's just like you now."
"What do you mean."
"She's a werewolf now." She spoke as she quickly run out of the office at the beeping sound from her pager.
Pacing back and forth I couldn't help but rake a hand through my already messy hair. I needed to figure out a way I was going to tell Martha I was a werewolf and she had been turned into one as well.
Spending almost 2 hours figuring out the best and non alarming way to break the news to her.
"Hey Martha." I chewed on my bottom lip nervously.
"Hey." She was seated up with a book in her hands. "What do you want to tell me."
"What?"
"You're biting your lip so come out with it."
"I don't want you to be mad or hate me Mars." I stood at a distance. "I never meant for things to be like this."
"Will you just come out with it already." She scolded impatiently.
"Y-You, well I, I-I'm a werewolf." I stuttered in barely a whisper.
Dash's POV
"Aunty Mars!" Cage run up to the pale skinned woman.
"My darling!" She beamed pulling him into a bear hug.
"Be careful." Rosalie scolded making him frown.
"Are you still sick?" He bit his lip while looking at her.
That was surely one of the very few traits he had inherited from his mother.
"No darling, I feel good as new." She assured with a huge smile on he face.
"Well Aunty Mars meet my daddy Dash, daddy meet my aunt Martha but I call her aunty Mars." He spoke beckoning me over. Not thinking twice I did as asked.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you Martha." I offered my hand but she just looked at it giving me a curt nod.
Anyone could feel the tension in the room but I was unsure as to whether it was directed towards me, who am I kidding obviously it was, she is Rosalie's friend and do friends had a tendency of inheriting hatred.
"Well um-" I tucked my hands into the pockets of my dark jeans. "I would like for you to stay at my house while you heal."
"No!" Rosalie finally spoke. "I mean, it's ok thanks."
"Last I checked I wasn't talking to you now was I." I smirked knowing it would piss her off.
"Thank you, Mr Damon or whatever you are called-" Martha started.
"It's Dash." I corrected calmly knowing fully well she had done it on purpose.
"Well Dash." She rolled her eyes. "Thank you for the offer but I'll pass."
"I insist, you are a guest in my town and my son's family at that, you would like for your aunty to spend a few days with us now wouldn't you champ?"
"Yeah, it would be so fun just say yes aunty Mars." He gave her the puppy eyes that many of us failed to say no to.
"Ok fine." She gave a deep sigh. "I'll agree only if Rosalie will come stay as well."
"Great then." I forced a smile mentally kicking myself as to why I had even pressed the issue, now look Rosalie was going to come into my house and I would have to tolerate her.

Fallen
Hundreds of years ago, the servant god Elsyn declared that they would destroy humanity entirely, explaining it as their duty as humanity’s peacekeeper. When the gods saw it fit to send someone to oppose the fallen servant, Iztris—the gods’ own servant and follower—visits Cheryn. Iztris requests the aid of Alyson and Jacob, the oldest two heirs of Cheryn and the only ones given the gods’ offer of the ‘assurance of victory,’ and the heirs agree. There will come a time when humanity does fall—but none of them would allow that to happen by the hands of a being just as flawed as mortals. I recommend reading the story by volume, instead of by the order the chapters were posted. This story was beta read by Mad Sadie. Many thanks! Please note that some characters use different pronouns depending on the chapter’s view and the speaker. Iztris, for example, is referred to with neutral pronouns by Elsyn (in most cases) and themself, and after being introduced as such they are referred to with male pronouns by Alyson and Jacob.
