《Fearsome Princess Consort FeiYun》Chapter 40 : Act 3- True Beauty

A quick slap flew across the little maid's face. Feiyun looked coldly at the dazed maid. One slap was enough to make her lose her conscious momentarily and a small cut appeared on the maid's face. The guards by the side quickly went forward, catching onto the falling maid to arrest her.
Turning her back, Feiyun faced the Crown Prince Ruofeng. Even though her face was covered by the mask, Ruofeng could almost see her raised eyebrow looking at him condescendingly.
"Fool of a Crown Prince, what do you say? Did I win our bet?"
Silence filled the hall, everyone was watching, their pair of eyes darting from the Prince Ruofeng to Feiyun wondering if Ruofeng would say anything.
"How could a little maid such as myself dare to steal the powder?! Even if you gave me 10 guts I still wouldn't dare ah! T-t-t-hat's right, I wasn't able to steal it as I have an alibi! "
Xiao Qiao having gained back some conscious quickly screamed in protest, tears streaming down her face as she struggled against the strong grip of the guards.
Feiyun smirked, turning around.
"Oh..Please tell me this 'alibi' of yours."
Given the chance to prove herself, Xiao Qiao quickly tried to gain her innocence back.
"The whole time I was here in the great hall and had never left the place, that guard at the entrance can vouch for me. I've either been talking to him and the other guard beside!"
Silence accompanied and the people in the hall found their support shifting in the little maid's direction. This incident was too fishy. How come the Princess Consort could find the powder so easily when the whole Kings guard have already swept through everyone? Something wasn't right.
Just as doubt continued to sprout in the minds of those watching, Feiyun continued, turning to the two guards.
"Speak, is this true?"
Upon being questioned by the cold and icy voice, the guards immediately bowed their heads to the floor. The bulkier one then spoke in a loud voice,
" It is true. This one here has been on duty the entire night. Every face that walked out this door I know. And Eunuch Zhu also took note of who entered and exited."
Feiyun wasn't surprised, she had merely intended to pulled one of Li Qingle's maid, whether she had or hadn't leave the place wouldn't have mattered. The fish she really wanted was Li Qingle, a small fish like this maid was merely the bait for the bigger one.
"Then Eunuch Zhu let me see that list."
Stretching a hand out, it had suddenly become Feiyun who was investigating and even if Emperor JunZhan or Empress Mu wanted to stop it was too late. Everyone was invested and wanted to know more.
Upon receiving the scroll, Feiyun unfurled it and glanced through it once. As expected the names were numerous at such a big event the people who went by were plenty.
"Good... Very detailed, this Princess Consort appreciates good work. Little maid, you are right, you haven't left this hall but I know one person connected to you that did."
After leaving her sentence at the feet of the Xiao Qiao, Feiyun turned to Li Qingle, her eyes flashing with amusement.
The scroll she had rolled back was passed back to Eunuch Zhu who stood in a bow beside her. Twirling the red rose in her hands as she proceeded slowly, as elegant as a swan, the red rose slowly lifted and pointed towards a certain lady.

Li Qingle felt fear creeping up her back as cold sweat formed. Those were the same eyes she had when she was tortured by Feiyun back at the tournament.
"W-w-what do you want?.."
With each step Feiyun took towards Li QingLe, another step was taken backward by Li Qingle.
"I was thinking how a puny maid would dare steal this powder. No wonder..."
Feiyun paused for a moment as though on deep though before continuing,
"You see, when I was dizzy from having drank too much, my beloved husband brought me to the back rooms to rest. After awhile, I felt better and exited my room... Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Lady Li talking with someone.
I felt it was suspicious but had not dared to further pursue the matter but now, I'm left with no choice, the Empress's gift has gone missing and turned up on your maid but your maid had not left this hall...and not to mention, you do have a motive for doing this..Could Lady Li explain what you were doing in the back rooms of the Great Hall?"
Shock filled the entire hall once again. Although Feiyun had not accused her, but those words alone, only idiots wouldn't understand what she meant.
Li QingLe, everyone knew that name. It was the Daughter of the Li family who was tortured by the Princess Consort at the tournament. Everyone knew that the beautiful face of Li Qingle was ruined by the Princess Consort's vicious whipping.
That was the motive that she had... this they couldn't deny.
"LIAR! Hmp, motive!? then if my scars made it a motive then what about yours?! You know very well that you too were not present in this hall. Your own ugly face cause this and now that you were about to be caught you pinned this all on me! This was planned all by you! you fucking bitch!"
A cold gust of air flew towards Li Qingle,
A small dining knife had embedded itself into the jade pillar behind Li Qingle, cracks filled the tough jade pillar and pieces fell and clinked onto the floor.
Instantly, people scrambled away from the veiled lady. Silence filling the hall once again. Everyone felt their scalp numbing under the intense pressure emitting from the man that threw the knife. Even if you beat them to death, they wouldn't believe that a dining knife could become such a deadly weapon and wasn't that jade pillar so tough that even swords and arrows couldn't penetrate it?!
Feiyun turned to meet the blue eyes of Tianhuo which were filled with unbridled rage. Letting out a helpless sigh in her heart although a feeling of warmth spread from within as well. Only this man in front of her would be able to bring this warmth out.
Turning back to Li Qingle who now sat on the floor, her legs had given way from fright.
The knife had barely skimmed across her cheek leaving a thin line of red and clipping the string that bound her veil around her face.
A series of sharp gasps filled the halls. On that once peerless face, lines of protruding scars ran across the face, the nose that was suppose to be there was bent into an unforgettable angle and made those weak-hearted maidens nearly scream from shock.
"This useless official begs for the 4th Prince to forgive this ones daughter ah!"
In an instant, Official Li fell to the ground, his head pinned to the cold hard marble floor.
Li Qingle scrambled to use her sleeves to hide her hideous face. Her eyes rimmed red with tears. Glancing her father and then to the old man who had moved away, a look filled with disgust and utter disdain appearing on his face the moment their eyes met.

That man was Judge Yuan Chide. He could not accept that his son was to marry such a hideous monster and even worse, he could not pull out of this engagement set by the Empress. With such an opportunity, why should he help her?
The sight truly making everyone around frown in disgust. The wounds were red and scarred deeply that one couldn't help but turn away. It was truly a pity.
Li Qingle drowned in her spiraling emotions. Realizing that at this point no one would stand up for her. Even her father was already prostrating quietly by the side trembling like a leaf in autumn afraid that this stupid daughter of his would drag the whole family in. Her Father-in-law had stepped away, her own fiancé (Yuan ChiLu) no where to be found. Next thing she knew a icy voice pulled her attention,
"Ohh... And here I was still wondering what you meant by my motive."
As she spoke, Feiyun's hands moved slowly to the white mask on her face, a finger tracing the edges slowly as she continued,
"This mask? I wouldn't wear it if my beloved husband hadn't insisted. But since I have to prove myself, I will show you just this once... What lies beneath."
As she completed her sentence, Feiyun gently removed her white mask.
What laid underneath was an alluring and ravishing beautiful face that could lay cities to ruins. Everyone seemingly forgot how to breathe. They had seen countless beauties, but none as mesmerizing and breathtaking as the young lady before them.
What was the Crown Princess who was known as the number 1 beauty in the capital?! What utter nonsense, the Crown Princess Zhenzhen couldn't even hold a candle up to the matchless beauty of the Princess Consort Feiyun.
What everyone thought was hidden beneath that mask had been proven to be very wrong. The Heaven's greatest creation, absolutely flawless and unmatched. What scarred and ugly? What crooked nose? Right in front of them was the truth ah, this could only be counted as a true beauty!
Fair skin, high and straight nose with a delicate fair blush on her cheeks. Her lips was the same cherry red and her eyes although cold and mysterious were still captivating like a dark crystal gems. Lashes that were long and fluttering with each blink she took. A delicate face with exquisite gem like eyes yet seems to give off a cold winter's chill.
While many drew deep breaths and found themselves in awe of the peerless beauty, this was the greatest shock to a few groups of people, the Xue manor who had been mocking Feiyun's misfortune, the Crown Prince, Empress Mu HuaRong and finally the Emperor Junzhan.
Empress Mu quickly figured that this time she would not be able to escape the rage of the Emperor. She who had pestered Junzhan to marry the ugly crippled wench to Tianhuo had revealed not to long ago that she was not only a genius in cultivation but was even able to walk, and now she shows a such peerless face.
Empress Mu's eyes found Emperor Junzhan's fingers were digging into the hand rest of the Dragon Throne, blood-forming on some of the nails that had broken off. She quickly turned her eyes away.
How was she to handle that rage ah...
It was only after what seemed like an eternity before people started gasping and mumbling among themselves. Finally believing what their eyes had witness. Feiyun continued forward towards that collapsed figure, each step she took was light and unhurried, as though treading upon everyone's hearts.
"With this, there is no motive, yes?"
Her question pointed at Li Qingle that remained collapsed on the floor unable to continue. She too shocked out of her wits. Satisfaction flashed across her eyes, Feiyun finally replaced the mask onto her face. Upon hearing the silence, Feiyun then continued,
"Since you want evidence, this princess will give you evidence. "
With a flick of her sleeve, several guards came in dragging various men tied up being them with their mouths bound.
"These were the men i saw you having a chat with, Emperor Junzhan only needs to give them a little investigations and you will know what happened. "
With a smirk, Feiyun had turned to face Emperor Junzhan, the red lips curled into a innocent smile yet still chilling the hearts of people.
Li Qingle felt panic rush through her blood. As of right now she had no other excuse she could think of. If the Emperor were to question where she went, how could she tell him that she was busy preparing to drug Feiyun and send men to rape her?!
Even if the Emperor didn't punish her because of the Empress, Tianhuo himself was a very big problem.
Cold sweat drenched her back and palms as she quickly ran her mind through a series of excuses and plans. But just as she was about to speak up, the doors to the back rooms burst open.
Everyone's head swung to the doors.
The guards that the Empress had sent to fetch Feiyun had returned. Their expression were like someone who saw something they shouldn't have. A faint blush still remaining on their cheeks, their eyes darting awkwardly.
At this interruption, Emperor JunZhan frowned. His raged and frustration was reaching its limits. Everything and everyone has been testing his limits.
But the leader of the guards quickly approached the General who stood to the side.
The General's eyes quickly opened wide. Turning to give a big frown to his man. No one could hear the whispers but judging from their faces, something was very wrong.
With the doors wide open, in the pin drop-silence a loud and clear sound resounded from the deep corridors.
"Ahnnn~good Ahhnn!~"
Immediately, a shock face appeared on each and every one. The men around either turned away from the doors their face and ears blushing red. While others, mostly the younger men gave dirty smirks to one another.
Those slightly innocent young ladies were confused by the sounds but knew that something wasn't right. They felts a weird feeling listening to the repeated moaning.
"INSOLENT! JUST WHAT IS GOING ON?!!"
Throwing the gold wine cup in his hands, a wound appearing on the general's forehead. As though there was no blood or pain, the stoic general quickly straightened his back in a salute and walked forward, his back already drenched in cold sweat.
The guards who returned together with the leader finally realized that they might have committed a very big mistake quickly shut the doors close, sealing the lecherous sounds behind the thick doors and freeing everyone of the dirty sounds.
"Er...T-t-this matter..."
Seeing his usual cold and stoic general suddenly start mumbling and hesitating, Emperor JunZhan whom had been rapidly getting irritated quickly ordered for the general to come relay the message to him in a hushed whisper by his side.
"This loyal subject thanks your Highness for understanding. The trouble in the back hall...the Crown Princess is in one of the rooms..."
After a long time of whispering, everyone watched as their Emperor's face twisted and grew red. The veins on the side of his neck bulging out.
"What?! How can that be?!"
A powerful arm struck at the General, sending him flying back. But as though it hadn't hurt, he quickly got back on his knees and bowing his head low, blood dripping down his lip, with his hands cupped in front of him.
"This loyal subject does not dare to lie to the Son of Heaven!"
With a loud hurrump, Emperor JunZhan face darkened and stood up, his furious eyes watching the people who looked at him in silence.
Turning to RuoFeng, a unknowing flash of anger streaked through Emperor JunZhan's eyes. Filled with disbelief and impatience. He don't believe that a small Crown Princess would dare to be this audacious just after being conferred her title.
The Crown Princess was just announced and the engagement of the couple was suppose to be a blissful occasion. Now his son was made to wear the green hat and not even a single face was given to him. This was a slap to his face and the Emperor's face who had just announced it.
'Good.. very good, this King would like to see just how good of an explanation she can give.'
Emperor JunZhan did not need to speak and only turned to walk towards the door that led to the deep corridors. RuoFeng instantly knowing the meaning behind those eyes and quickly stood up to follow.
Everyone quickly turned their attention to the group making their way into the deep halls. Their eyeballs wishing they could escape the socket and follow along.
On the other hand, the forgotten Li Qingle felt a chill run down her spine. The person that is suppose to be in there losing her innocence is here while the only other person she knew who was in the back rooms as well was...Zhenzhen?!
Then the sounds she was hearing could only belong to ...Panic struck her as she trembled uncontrollably like a leaf, she didn't even want to think of that name. Her small life would be dragged to the execution stand.
Mirth was hidden in Feiyun's eyes as she turned on her heels, her white dress sweeping behind her as she made her way back to Tianhuo. Finding herself a comfy spot and pouring a cup of wine to enjoy.

Grimm Season 6 Episode 14: In the Nick of Time
After multiple young women disappear in the woods, Nick and the rest of the gang are called to investigate. Meanwhile, Deputy Farris relies on Hank for answers when the kidnapping suspect claims that monsters took his fiance. Elsewhere, Nick has a surprise for Adalind when she arrives at the loft, and Josh contacts his friends from Portland. This story is a season 6 episode 14 fanfiction of the hit NBC show Grimm and, therefore, takes place soon after season 6, episode 13. In this story, we get to see the immediate aftermath of the Grimm finale, see some familiar faces, and answer a few questions that were left up in the air with Grimm's end. This tale is based on the Brother's Grimm fairy tale, Jorinda and Joringel (though I recommend reading the real fairy tale after finishing the book). I do not own Grimm or any of the characters. I wrote this story out of respect and longing for my favorite show that has ended. This story contains violence and mild language.
