《My Beloved Mate》Chapter 19: Final

^* as Lee Tea-yong (aka Teayong)^
*I know Hikaru is a Japanese name and Teayong is South Korean but he fits Hikaru soo much that I don't want to change it. If you have a problem, deal with it. 🙂*
"What the hell?!" I screamed as they dragged Hikaru away a little while after he drank my blood. "Let him go!" I got up and went to punch the man but he kicked me in the gut which made me kneel down while grabbing my stomach. This has them the opportunity to pull Hikaru out of the cage and then lock the cell door.
I got up quickly and made my way, grabbing the bars and shaking it to get their attention. The henchmen were out of my site and I had a bad feeling about this. I shook the bars again but there was nothing, just silence. "You there little human?" I heard an eerie voice.
I got as far as I could from the door and against the wall so he couldn't reach me. He probably had a key though. "Who are you? And what do you want?" I spoke with the little courage I had let in me. His aura was scary and he was tall with brown skin and long braided hair. His eyes were silver but they could pass as red and his skin was tattooed with scars.
"You will find out soon enough who I am, and as for your second question, I am sure your mate knows." He answered as neared the cell. I still couldn't see his face clearly but I could see the outline. The little light that came into this place was enough for me to see some of his features, and one of them was a cut on the left eye that ran all the way down to his upper lip. "Oh ho ho! You're much more handsome than I thought you'd be."
I just looked at him, without saying anything. My gut told me this person was not someone to provoke or I'd probably end up dead. "Why me?" I asked seriously.
"Little human, you don't anything about the werewolves. Especially the ones you live with. Some call us monsters when they are the real ones. Soon, everything will fall into place. Have a good rest because tomorrow, they are coming and I have no intention of losing." He chuckled when he saw my disgusted face. He then reached out and grabbed the collar of my shirt and pulled me against the bars of the cell. "I can't wait to see your mate's face when he sees what's stored for him."

I watched the back of the man as he walked away, the only sentence that struck me was that I didn't know Zechariah's pack very well and I am pretty sure they had some sort of history that didn't end for the villain in my story. I looked hopelessly at the feeling of the damp cell and thought of a way I could be useful and how this will all end.
~••••~
I heard a loud bang that startled me from my sleep. I didn't realize when I had fallen asleep but when I heard some shuffling footsteps and was suddenly picked up with ease, I knew something was about to begin. I didn't know how long I had been in the cell and as we neared the outside, I sighed with happiness, even if it later a short about of time.
I heard multiple footsteps and suddenly felt like I've been lifted off the ground. "What the hell?!" I yelled in surprise as I watched the men and woman lift me and then tie my hands and feet. "Let me go! What are you doing! Just let me go!" I kept screaming but they paid no mind to it, and just stuffed my mouth with a cloth.
I tried to spit out the cloth but it was too big for my jaw to open. "Get ready, darling. Your mate is coming to save you." The man that made me feel like insects were crawling on my skin said. His eyes still scared me, even when he wasn't looking at me.
I looked to where he was looking and out in the distance I sawdust and it was getting bigger and bigger. My eye widen when I was able to see the shapes of hundreds of wolves, I am not sure Zechariah's pack even had more than three hundred or so wolves. From the looks of it, there were clearly more than three hundred wolves rushing towards us. "Just in time, eh?" An elder female walked towards the creepy man. She put her hand on his shoulder and he looked down and smiled. She looked familiar like I've seen her before.
Then it hit me, she was Roseanne, Maya's mother. What is she doing here? I thought. I looked back towards the charging wolves to see them stopped and a brown wolf looking at me. I knew instantly that it was Zechariah. He saw me and then turned away, shifting to his human form. "What the hell do you and your pack want?" He spoke as he covered himself the best he could.

"All we want is revenge." The creep, who was the leader, spoke. "It's been ages, Zacky."
Zechariah looked at him with a shocked face. "You..." he mumbled loudly. "You're.....Cree?" He asked confused. "We thought you were dead."
"Well, I wasn't but I wanted to be." He mumbled before making his way over to me. "So you see, I'm going to make your Mate feel the exact pain, which means you'd feel it too."
His sinister grin made my heart race faster. He grabbed my hair and pulled out a knife. "You don't have to do this!" Zechariah yelled as he took a step closer.
"Ah-uh! Don't move or he'll be dead faster." Cree warned.
"Please don't do this!" Zechariah begged.
"I was in the same position as you all those years ago. I begged and begged yet your father, nor did anyone step up and help him. You all watched as he was ripped to shreds." He seethed. I looked at him shocked, what kind of past did they both have? "You let me watch as my mate was dying, and now your turn then it'll be your fathers and all fuckers that are in your pack. You'll know how it feels to feel their pain yet you can't die."
"He was in the wrong and he–" Zechariah was cut off by terrifyingly loud laughter.
"All he did was let one rogue go and become friends with her. He saw the flaw in your father's ruling and call it out, and challenge him to fix it. Is that punishable by death? Is that worth taking away your mate? And no one did anything, so now, you will watch as I rip him to shreds and feel it all." Cree smiled as the tip of the blade touched my skin. I felt the burn and sting as it slid down creating a cut.
"What we all did was wrong but he had nothing to do with it. Take me instead." Zechariah offered as he took a step forward.
"No," Cree said. "What would be the fun in that?"
This time he looked Zechariah straight in the eye and slowly slid the knife down the side of my neck. Zechariah flinched when he felt it too. It hurt and I wanted to screams but my screams were muffled by the cloth shoved in my mouth. I struggled to get away but my hands were tied behind my back and there was no way I could get up, and run.
"Okay, that's enough. Can't you just kill him quickly." Roseanne said making all attention go to her.
"What the fuck?!" Luke yelled as he looked at her in shock. "You're with them?"
"There was no way a human should be the Alpha's mate. They are weak and my daughter is way better than this human anyway." She smirked as she grabbed the knife from him and stood in front of me. "This is all your fault, you could've left but you're too selfish."
She then proceeded to lift up the knife because she wanted to stab me. I closed my eyes because this felt like the end, I didn't get the happy ending I had hoped for but I was happy that I got to spend time with Zechariah and got to feel what it was like to love and be loved. I got to meet many amazing people throughout my life and they taught me many things. My life was okay, and I was really happy. I just wished that Zechariah didn't get to see me die.
Suddenly there was a loud scream and I felt a whoosh, and air in my face. "You're not dying today," I head a familiar voice.
I slowly opened my eyes to see Hikaru holding on to me and was running faster than a human. "W-what?" I stuttered because of shock.
"Don't worry, everything is okay now. You'll see Zechariah soon." He answered me vaguely before I felt really tired.
"What..did you doo?" I spurred out as my eyes began to close.
"Just rest. You've been through enough." I heard his faint voice as I slipped into darkness.
