CHAPTER 58- Fairytale Phoenix Palace

Jiang sat inside a small boat in the middle of a clear river situated inside his newly acquired dwelling called Fairytale Phoenix Palace, the river in this dwelling even had a waterfall and so many beautiful types of trees and flowers surrounded it, colorful mystic birds flew in the sky, some chirping and some not doing so.

This palace felt oddly familiar to Jiang, it almost wanted to look like Jun Tang's manor but it was more majestic, extravagant and grand.

Jiang believed he was thinking too much again about unrelated things.

It has been two days since Jiang's first battle and his return to the imperial palace, and in these two days, Jiang couldn't believe the so many changes that have occurred in the imperial palace especially as regards to himself.

He was given the Fairytale Phoenix Palace, a dwelling place inside the imperial palace that was said to be suited for the True empress of Tang Qin Shang and could only be occupied by such a personality, also it was beside the emperor's Majestic Dragon palace.

The Fairytale Phoenix Palace lived up to its name, it occupied so many acres of land that Jiang couldn't even calculate and it gave off a dreamy and paradise kind of feeling.

It was truly beautiful.

Although Jiang's palace was beside the emperor's palace, it was a good distance away from it so Jiang felt a bit relieved by this for like a breath worth of time since when he thought about it more deeply he realized that such a distance could be covered by the emperor in mere seconds and if the emperor have ill intentions for him as he had suspected the moment he knew about his new situation then it won't be hard for him to execute them.

The more he thought about it the more he realized that he could never understand the emperor because he was like an ever-changing puzzle that could never be solved, If the emperor wanted to torture him slowly and silently without needing to even lift a finger when he was doing a great job at that, Jiang felt like this emperor really had a devious and wicked mind

Jiang decided to lay down on the boat and catch a few minutes of sleep but it was at this moment that Han Sheng decided to call out to him The sudden disturbance shocked Jiang and made him lose balance hence his body stumbled inside the cold lake " sound echoed in the silent environment.

Jiang when in his world completely forgot that they were people waiting on him by the lakeside, these people followed him practically everywhere, they were even some who wanted to bath him but Jiang refused vehemently also since that day those people that wanted to bath him seem to have disappeared from his palace like they were never there.

Jiang had noticed all the guards and servants assigned to his manor behaved in a very respectful way and seem to even fear him a lot, Jiang couldn't understand why all this was happening, even Han Sheng seems a bit distance, Jiang decided to find out the root of all this today.

Jiang dried his clothes but didn't need to touch his hair since he prevented water from touching it, so once he was done with using his technique as a dryer he deactivated it and then said They all scurried away while pitying Han Sheng who had angered the empress elect and was made to stay behind, some even threw Han Sheng a pitiful look.

Once everyone was gone Jiang tuned to the still kneeling Han Sheng Jiang's voice sounded grumpy, he hadn't slept for two days and wasn't in a really good mood, Han Sheng on standing up met with Jiang's panda looking eyes and had to muffle a chuckle, he was still little and couldn't completely act all rigid and stoic like the rest servants even if he believed he was supposed to and his present behavior was disrespectful but seeing the empress elect with those panda looking eyes were just too funny and he couldn't completely resist the urge to laugh.

Jiang said as he glared at Han Sheng who was now looking at the ground and wouldn't dare to lift up his head as he said he wanted to go down on his kneels again when Jiang who had been floating towards him landed beside him and then immediately moved in to prevent his actions.

People who once disrespected him and treated him like shit now treated him like he was a priceless jewel, they didn't dare to look him in the eyes like they once so arrogantly did, they didn't curse at him for being a weak empress elect.

They shuddered in fear when they addressed him as if he could with just his word order for their deaths, they strived to please him.

Jiang couldn't get this.

Since he came back he has tried to find out why everyone was so scared and respectful of him but no one will say anything no matter how much the maids or eunuchs feared offending him, it was they didn't fear him enough to answer his questions.

Jiang didn't believe what he had just heard.

Han Sheng nervously looked left and right and then when he saw no one, he drew closer to Jiang and began to speak in a whispered tone Han Sheng smiled brightly and appeared to be remembering an unforgettable pleasant event.

Jiang had a blank look on his face, what he had just heard was just so huge so he couldn't immediately assimilate it all into his brain.

"Elder sister Lei Yue in my heart I regard you as an elder sister but I cannot address you as such not even in secret because the walls have ears so this will be the first and last time I address you as such" Han Sheng paused briefly, he was thinking he would be scolded for saying such things but he wasn't, neither was he persuaded against his decision.

Han Sheng solemnly said.

Jiang who had heard all this had a slight smile playing on his lips, he also wondered when Han Sheng grew up so much because right now his words didn't sound childlike in the least bit Han Sheng blushed and averted his eyes away from Jiang's own, Han Sheng could picture Jiang's beautiful smile behind the veil by just looking at Jiang's smiling eyes and this made his heart feel warm and tingling inside.

Han Sheng was happy to have someone he could call family.

Jiang will never have thought that the someone he was reminded of was none other by himself.
