Before Jiang could even move a step a man dress in black and seem to have come out of nowhere appeared before him, Jiang was startled and now on guard.

Lu Han bowed and then said "This humble servant greets the empress elect, his majesty, the emperor has sent me to escort you back to the imperial palace, His Majesty says that his empress elect has been gone for way too long and this is unacceptable " Jiang was shocked beyond belief, "Why will his majesty care about such things, I am still within the palace, am I not?" Jiang asked while feeling confused, a bit annoyed about his plans been interrupted but mostly he felt scared.

"What was the need of all that planning then?" Jiang thought as he looked at Lu Han who was just standing there as if he was a robot and not responding to Jiang's question at all.

He knew this man was stronger than him and he won't be able to beat or outrun him if he made an attempt so Jiang's idea of fleeing was cut off by himself.

"Fine, Lead the way" Lu Han bowed and then said a chant, a black round pill like item appeared in his hands, he then moved beside Jiang and then threw the black pill like item on the ground, it made a puff sound and eventually scattered into black smoke which engulfed both Jiang and himself, soon they were standing at the portal that will lead them back into the imperial palace.

Jiang had never seen or heard of such an elemental before and wondered what his element was.

While Lu Han was activating the portal that will take them back into the imperial palace, Jiang had a thought that maybe he could check for the artifact he needed to block the ability of the jinx tracer at "no difference pavilion" but he couldn't investigate how to remove the bracelet inside the palace because that will just give his plans away.

Jiang planned to find time to come back to the main palace of no difference pavilion whenever he could and just hoped that the reason this man was asked to escort him back to the imperial palace wasn't that his secret had been exposed by Jun Tang.

Jiang would never believe that wasn't the reason for the emperor sending for him so soon and unexpectedly.

The emperor missed seeing Jiang just this few days that they were apart felt like centuries to him, also after Jiang's strenuous fight he wanted him to be where he was within his protection.

Once the portal leading to the imperial palace was activated, Lu Han gave way, bowed and then placed his right hand on his chest and then said "After you, empress elect"

Lu Han looked so humble and genuinely respectful and this kind of freaked Jiang out, he was the first person apart from the little eunuch that treated him with so much respect but the difference with this two people was that this man standing before him looked like someone that was absolutely close to the emperor in some way, therefore, he must be aware that the emperor hates anyone from General Lei's manor "so why was he been treated this cautiously and respectfully?" this question kept swimming in Jiang's brain right about now.

As soon as Jiang stepped out of the portal he saw Han Sheng the little eunuch assigned to him standing in front of some more eunuchs and maids of the imperial palace.

Han Sheng once he saw the empress elect that he has come to see as his big sister ran over with a big smile on his face and his hands spread wildly as if he wanted to go over and hug Jiang and express how much he is glad that Jiang is back but once he was some distance away from Jiang, from the portal came Lu Han and Han Sheng wild spread hands immediately fell to his side like a deflated balloon "Welcome back esteemed empress elect" Han Sheng said and then fell on his Kneels, instantly the other maids and eunuchs standing behind looking lost and in awe fell to their Kneels too and then echoed "Welcome back esteemed empress elect" Jiang was stunned.

Jiang's mind became jampacked with different thoughts "What's with this warm welcome? Is this the calm before the storm? Does the emperor plan to take him to the heavens and then later viciously crush him back down into the underworld while laughing at his stupidity for actually believing he could dare venture into the heavens?"

Meanwhile while Jiang was lost in such thoughts so was little Han Sheng who just came so close to losing his head because with the way Lu Han glared at him the moment he stepped out of that portal was just too damn frightening, Han Sheng blamed himself for forgetting his place, "How could he dare try to touch the emperor's woman? why does he always forget that big sister Yue Lei isn't just anybody but the empress elect?" Just the mere thought of such a thing made cold sweat accumulate of his back, Han Sheng was lost in his world as he lamented about his almost end.

Lu Han just knew that if he kept quiet then he would have to stand here until this two deemed it enough for them to come out of their inner mind, normally in such a situation if the empress elect was in such a condition then it was the duty of the empress elect's senior eunuch to draw his attention.

Lu Han wondered what the emperor was thinking by promoting this dimwitted eunuch to such a position "Your highness the Empress elect, may we proceed" Jiang turned and stared at Lu Han for a bit and then turned back to the kneeling people, he did it for quiet some time thereby making him look very comical and silly, on seeing this Lu Han couldn't help but think that the emperor's foresight was really top notch because he realized that this empress elect and his now newly appointed senior eunuch where really suited to work together as regards to their level of silliness but Lu Han had another thought in mind and that was the fact that although both were silly only Han Sheng looked cute in his eyes while been silly.

Jiang cleared his throat, adjusted his sloppy posture, stood at akimbo and then puffed his chest before saying "You may rise" It was like the atmosphere before him had affected his thinking faculties and he wanted to appear in a way that fitted his presence situation hence his need to appear and sound majestic, his actions where been watched by none other than the emperor from a distance.

The emperor just so happens to be walking with his entourage from his study room to the martial training ground and then he witnesses this moment.

The eunuchs and maids walking with the emperor didn't understand why the emperor had abruptly stopped walking and started staring at a far distance, neither did they understand why the emperor suddenly surrounded himself in red fiery flames but once the flames where ignited they had to sprint to a major distance away from him, meanwhile the emperor finally inside the confines of his flames could finally let it all out.

He busted into a thunderous laughter and his usual cold, emotionless and dangerous demure was instantly shattered, it was strange how his voice seems to be vibrating from within the flames but no one outside his flames could hear his voice.

After witnessing Jiang trying to act all gallant, dignified and majestic, the emperor had to hold his laughter in other not to lose his cool but after seeing Jiang's cute stupid demure and expression when he realized what he had just done the emperor just couldn't hold it in anymore, he decided to choose his plan B action which was what he had just done now.

Jiang on realizing his involuntary not so cool looking action shuddered slightly, Lu Han internally shook his head, while Han Sheng and the others were finally on their feet " Where is his majesty, I should go now and meet with him" Jiang said as he turned to face Lu Han who since they met hadn't looked at Jiang straight in the eyes even once, he wondered why that was so but then he also noticed that even the maids, including Han Sheng who previously wasn't so cautious, was also acting the same way.

"His Majesty wants you to go and rest, you can see him when he summons you" Jiang nodded, he didn't know what the emperor's end game was by doing all this but he wasn't going to think too much about it.

"Let this humble servant lead you to your new dwelling palace Empress elect," Han Sheng said.

"I have a new dwelling palace?" Jiang was once again surprised "What the hell happened since the last time I was here? Did I come back to the wrong imperial palace? Is this an alternative universe?" Jiang strongly began to think that maybe he was dreaming, this was just too much.

"Please follow me empress elect," Han Sheng said and then began walking towards a particular direction in the imperial palace, Jiang followed closely behind while the rest, including Lu Han, followed after.

The emperor after laughing to his heart content had dispensed the fire and resumed walking towards the imperial martial ground as if nothing had happened earlier, none of the members of his entourage dared to question his odd behavior and just obediently and silently followed behind him.

Emperor Qin Jie Huang had a feeling that this day was going to be a good one.

He had unconsciously let out a smile and that smile seemed to have made all the hearts of his servants following him feel like busting, they immediately faced the ground since they weren't allowed to do otherwise and where already waiting for the emperor to issue out his punishment for them but such a punished never came.

Despite knowing at the time that their lives were in danger they didn't care too much about the peril they will soon face because to these servants they have viewed a sight that they would willingly give their lives away for with no regrets.

Even now their breath was heavy, cheeks turned to the shade of red, their eyes were filled with desire, the desire to see that smile yet again because it was the most beautiful, enchanting, mesmerizing, intriguing and magnetic smile they had ever seen in all their life.

Even if it was for just a few seconds this moment could be counted as the best in all their lives.
