Jun Tang didn't get to see Jiang's confused face but he heard him loud and clear Jiang asked and Jun Tang's eyes snapped open, For the first time in Jun Tang's life, he was dumbfounded.

When Jiang saw Jun Tang looking at him strangely he was lost and wondered why Jun Tang looked at him with suspicious written all over his face but when he thought about what he had just said it hit him how foolish he was to have said those words to someone who knew Yue Lei or at the very least heard about her and knew her noble origin.

There was no way his sister will not know what Jun Tang just mentioned, Jiang felt for Jun Tang to look at him that way then he expects that someone of his caliber, the eldest miss Yue Lei of the general Lei's manor should know what cultivation techniques is.

Jiang tried to think of what it could mean and he remembered that one of the old books his mother gave him on cultivating mana had two sections, it was in the second section of that book he learnt that he could use his stored up mana in his first core to control magic, Jiang had already learnt from the first section of the book that in the body of a cultivator there are two cores where mana is stored and that the second core half mana was stored to breakthrough levels.

The second section of the old book was so ruined that he could barely make out the words, the only words he could make out from it was the most basic chants, Jiang wondered if this chants were actually called techniques.

Jiang decided it wasn't the time or place to think of that, he felt he had fumbled big time and had to savage the situation immediately, he didn't want Jun Tang to know his secret, with Jun Tang's personality Jiang was certain he will definitely be blackmailed by him, Just thinking of himself been made to become Jun Tang slave for all eternity made Jiang shiver slightly.

Jiang put up a straight face and said to Jun Tang seriously Jiang let out a nervous ugly laugh as he watched Jun Tang stare at him without even blinking, the way he was stared at made him feel like Jun Tang could see through his lies, his deceit.

Jiang suddenly felt really tired, Jiang have been feeling pretty tired as of late, he was fed up of been scared, hiding , pretending, keeping secrets from everyone he encounters.

At first for his family Jiang chose to take his sister's place in other to keep the secret that his sister eloped with her lover from the Emperor who would have sentenced nine generations of his family to death if he ever found out what happened.

Jiang wanted to protect and be accepted by his family by doing this, Even if he got caught while pretending to be his sister Jiang was willing to take on the crime of deceiving the Emperor by himself, he would have swore vehemently to the heavens that he had committed such an unforgivable and heinous crime alone, He was ready to admit to taking his sister's place to spite the family that never accepted or loved him, the family who kept him hidden from the world and forgotten.

Jiang was willing to take on any burden for his family, he was willing to protect them at the cost of his life if it got to that level, As long as they shown him a shred a love he would be contented but he was too naive to think that by doing all that he will be accepted.

Jiang never thought that they had planned to silence him from the very beginning, How could they let him reach the imperial palace when his father was very aware of his crimes against the emperor and how much the emperor hates him.

If the emperor ever discovered Jiang's secret there was no way he would not use it against General Lei that he hates so much even now his father is living on thin ice but Jiang didn't know all this at the time he was sent to the palace, it was until he entered the imperial palace that he found out about all this.

If Jiang took his sisters place and the crime of deceiving the emperor came to light, no one will be spare in general Lei's manor , His father was aware of this but since he couldn't let his precious daughter go to the imperial palace and be made to suffer and die he chose to deceive the emperor anyway by making Jiang take his sister's place and then dying before getting to the imperial palace with an unrecognizable face.

General's Lei's plan was flawless, With such a plan he will be killing two birds with one stone, he will protect his precious daughter from the emperor that wants to use his daughter to torment him and he will protect those he considers as family at the expense of the one he considers not as one, as long Jiang dies before entering the palace his crime won't be discovered.

They chose to discard him like he was an unwanted trash, they never saw him as their blood, When he was reborn he chose to still take on the identity of his sister and stay at the imperial palace where he would be safe from the family that wants him dead.

Jiang won't say it but deep down in the innermost part of his heart he doesn't want to bring his family any harm so he wishes to increase his power fast so that he could leave the the imperial palace quickly without getting caught, he doesn't want to implicate his family, when he leaves he would be able to protect them from the crime of deceiving the emperor and protect himself from those that want him dead.

Jiang is sure that when he leaves the palace both the emperor and his family will want his life but with his new appearance they will never find him, that's one of the reasons he won't let anyone see his face no matter what, To Jiang his face would be his best disguise when he leaves the palace.

Jiang let's out an aggrieved sigh unknown to him, the more Jiang thought about it the sadder he felt, his eyes held unshed tears.

Jun Tang watching all this felt confused, he saw unimaginable heartache and pain in the eyes of this young miss and he couldn't understand why she will have such emotions, Seeing her this way made him hurt too, he felt like their hearts were connected and he could feel her pain, it was unbearable to even breath.

Jun Tang felt a storm was going wild in his heart, waves upon waves of pain was all he felt as he grabbed tightly the robe around his chest area while watching the absent minded Jiang.

Jun Tang couldn't understand why he felt so much pain by just watching a person who was sad, he felt this situation was ludicrous but he didn't dwell on it, he tried to breath, he exhaled and inhaled air deeply in a bid to lessen the pain he was feeling in his chest.

The rumors about Yue Lei been pampered, arrogant, loved and spoilt rotten were not just rumors to him, he knew this was a fact because he investigated her.

At first when she came to the imperial palace and was behaving docile he thought it was an act and it wouldn't last but the more he watched her the more he found out that she was too different from what the investigation reports said about her and now he was certain.

Jun Tang wondered who truly was under that veil, to Jun Tang there was nothing under the sun that he didn't know if he wished to and right now there was something he was eager to confirm.

Jun Tang won't read this young miss mind, he promised not to do that, he hated doing that but whatever secrets she was hiding she won't be able to keep it hidden for long.

"You got me really good Yuer" Jun Tang decided to act dumb, he planned to act like he had believed Jiang and that Jiang had fooled him with his lies, he was going to act like nothing had changed, to him nothing had really changed, he would play this game as long as the Missy wanted to play it.

Jun Tang words brought Jiang's thought back to the present, Jiang pained absentminded eyes were once again clear and bright, Jun Tang loved these eyes better, all these thoughts might seem to have taken long but it didn't take more than a minute.

Jiang tried to change the topic quickly " by mentioning the word predicament Jiang meant his upcoming competition, Jun Tang knew Jiang was the empress elect to he understood what he meant by that.

Jiang felt a bit embarrassed that he was lying through his teeth so he chose to look at anywhere else but Jun Tang's eyes.

Jun Tang found it funny how to the Missy one minute he is Young master Jun Tang and the next minute he is just Jun Tang but no matter how he was addressed as long as its coming from her lips, he will love it, Jun Tang found it even more amusing how bad of a liar his Yuer was.
