A baleful aura began to fill the Imperial palace martial ground that was now occupied by only two people, Jiang and the little eunuch, Ones Jiang sensed something and turned his attention from the eunuch to look around, that person was long gone.

It was then the little eunuch came back to his senses and stepped away from Jiang hold "Thanks for the empress elect concern but this servant is well and okay and will like to take the empress elect to the chief eunuch to get the pass that will aid the empress elect in exiting the imperial palace to the main palace " the eunuch said and Jiang attention was brought back to him.

Jiang completely forgot about the uneasy feeling he was having earlier that led him to looking around desperately and once again concentrated on the little eunuch.

the little eunuch replied with a light blush appearing on his cheeks.

Jiang didn't waste anymore time after saying that and just started walking off while the little eunuch on the other hand quickly bowed and then hurried along.

When the both of them left the martial ground on the way to meet the chief eunuch Jiang heard some court ladies whispering at a distance, although the little eunuch couldn't hear their conversation from this distance Jiang could hear them faintly because since he started cultivating his air element his hearing improved significantly.

Jiang wanted to hear better because he felt their discussion topic was of utmost importance to him, Jiang used his air magic to lift his foot from the ground and then sneak slowly towards the court ladies direction, when he got close to them he hid behind a tree to listen, it was then that the little eunuch made some rustling sound as he curiously walked towards Jiang and stepped on some dry leaves, Jiang quickly turned back with his a finger on his lip area indicating to the little eunuch to be more quiet, the little guy froze in place.

Jiang didn't want this two to know someone was eavesdropping on them because he didn't want them to get startled and stop their gossip, right then Jiang looked like a little child doing something mischievous and hoping not to get caught by these adults.

a court lady said with curiosity and a taste for gossip written all over her face.

another whispered.

The previous court lady sounded so aggrieved like she had just lost her most beloved, Jiang shakes his head at that, just because she was left out of some gossip she was behaving like the world was coming to an end, Jiang thought women really can't do without their gossip.

she berated her companion and then continued she said seriously and then looked around to make sure no one was within the area "Those two males, Wang Wei and Zhang Min will never be accepted by the emperor even if they win, everyone knows that the emperor despises the idea of having a male empress or concubine due to that incident"

"What incident?" her companion asked curiously and Jiang waited patiently for the climax of the gist but didn't hear anything, it was obvious the one telling the gossip was trying to keep the other in suspense, Jiang didn't approve of such behavior at all.

she said impatiently and the gossip teller finally spoke " she said and Jiang's ears perked up, he didn't want to miss a bit of this gossip,

Right now Jiang was really acting like a lady curious for gossip, no one will doubt Jiang's identity normally since his body features was not as manly as Jiang hoped for them to be but right now there was this feminine allure sipping out of his every cell as he hid behind that tree in his flowing wide spread robe and on tiptoes stretched his neck with his left ear facing towards the court ladies direction.

Jiang looked totally hilarious, it wasn't that at this distance he couldn't hear them clearly but Jiang's dramatic cells were acting up.

"Oh that incident" her companion replied as if she had finally seen the light.

the other said snorted.

they both nodded in agreement.

"General Lei did all that just so he could have control over the imperial palace, up till now I don't know why he haven't been gotten rid of yet"

Jiang couldn't help but to agree with them, he thought this two courts ladies are really smart too.

"I pity the late empress, she died heart broken and alone,only then did the former emperor wake up from the spell he was under" the court lady listening sighed deeply.

"That incident led the former emperor to insanity and eventually to his death, I guess the only good thing is that he got to accompany his love"

"Don't you think skinning them alive is too mild a punishment for someone like the emperor to give"companion replied disdainfully and soon the two court ladies kept mentioning the most gruesome ways possible that the emperor could use in torturing a male empress elect that had the potential to become empress, the emperor will rather be punished by the heavens and his ancestors than to marry a male empress.

Jiang felt cold all of a sudden after realizing that the emperor's hatred for a male empress elect or empress is bone deep therefore no matter what his true gender must not be found out by anyone, although before he thought this way but then he didn't take it as serious as he did now.

The chances of him been found out and then boiled in hot oil while still being alive is really high and that will probably happen after he had already been sliced a thousand times by the sword because not only is he male, his father's greed led to the emperor's parents death and right now him taking his sister's place, the beloved general's daughters place is like preventing the emperor from exerting his revenge, it's like a slap to the emperor face.

Jiang was in his own world imagining the worst case scenario if he was caught when something suddenly landed on his head "Ah...... "Jiang shrieked like a girl due to the sudden fright, he had just being thinking of the emperor cutting off his head in the slowest way possible so no one can blame him for reacting that way but when Jiang realized how very unmanly he sounded he quickly clasped his hands over his mouth,

It was at that moment he stepped on a small rolling stone and fell on his face, the court ladies upon realizing they weren't alone scurried away "Empress elect "the little eunuch was calling for Jiang as he ran anxiously towards him.

Jiang thought he have been unlucky recently, he first tripped on his butt and now it's on his face even a bird was bullying him by pooping on his head, the little eunuch assisted him in standing up and Jiang rubbed at his forehead that was threatening to swell up.

He was too embarrassed to look at the little eunuch but he secretly was grateful that no one was around to see his embarrassing frighten look that was caused by a mere bird poop, if he was seen by others then how will he raise his head in the future Jiang lamented in his head.

"Let's go and meet the chief eunuch now after I wash this off my head" Jiang said and stormed off embarrassingly, the little eunuch tried not to laugh at Jiang funny looking slightly swollen forehead as well as the bird poop stationed comfortably on his beautiful silky soft black long hair, the color of Jiang's hair might have changed but it didn't lose its luster one bit.

After searching for the chief eunuch for quite some time they finally found him on his way to meet the emperor, he had earlier been sent by the emperor that was why they couldn't find him anywhere.

Upon hearing their request he didn't waste time and handed them the pass which he usually had on his person since he could be sent by the emperor to the main palace at anytime, the chief eunuch decided to carry the passes in his space pouch.

Space pouch were used in Tang Qin Shang to store a lot of items but they were scarce and expensive due to the fact that a space elemental haven't been seen in ages and those that once had the ability never reached the level were they could live forever because space magic was the most difficult to cultivate.

After thanking the chief eunuch the little eunuch directed Jiang towards the gate they were going to use to go out.

When Jiang saw the big black gates with the dragon and phoenix symbol he felt oppressed, this gate was smaller than the golden gate he passed through the first time he entered the palace, it didn't even have it's grandeur but Jiang thought it felt more mysterious.

"It's really something " Jiang exclaimed excitedly, he could feel that their was something about this gate and that it might even be of great benefit to him but he couldn't understand why he thought a gate will benefit him.

"Empress elect please place the pass tablet on that hole on the door, the hole that fits the pass tablet" the little eunuch said, there was excitement in the little eunuch's eyes, this was his first time going to the main palace.

Jiang did as the little eunuch instructed a blinding light began to envelope them as the space in the area started to distort, when the light enveloped them fully a swirling whirlpool appeared before them and they were pulled towards it.

As they disappeared everything returned back to normal in an instant, it was like the blinding light and swirling whirlpool was never there.
