《The Younger Agent - Natasha Romanoff x OC》Chapter 101 - Subway Surfers

"Oh man", Yelena muttered in response to Eleanor's previous statement. The trio crammed on the motorbike were already going against the flow of traffic, having someone chasing them added to this was not ideal. Natasha weaved in and out of traffic with high precision, her previous experience on bikes shining fully. However, this didn't stop Eleanor from clinging onto Yelena for dear life, praying that her wife would not turn them into roadkill.

She was pleasantly surprised yet again when Yelena too increased her grip on her when Natasha weaved through two cars that were turning close to each other, causing them to come to a standstill as they rushed past, with no time to feel guilty for ruining people's day.

Eleanor grinned at the standstill of traffic behind them as she turned to look behind them, "You did i-", she began to happily exclaim before seeing the widow on the bike fly over the top of the cars in fast pursuit again, "Are you shitting me?!". The adrenaline was fast flowing through them as they skidded over the tarmac and down the stairs, the ride particularly bumpy for the person at the back who was barely sitting on the seat as is.

There had been many scary times when Eleanor had been a passenger as Natasha rode a motorbike away from an altercation, but this ride had topped all of them. When Eleanor had turned back around to face the front, her eyes went wide in sheer terror at seeing a tram making its way towards them, with no signs of Natasha slowing down. She held her breath and scrunched her eyes closed as they passed it, luckily without being turned into smush.

Once on the other side, yet again Eleanor was given false hope of safety as Nat started to slow the vehicle down, but the sound of gunshots rang through the air as metal hit the back tire, causing the bike to skid into the wall in front of them, sending the three passengers tumbling over the side and onto the road below.

Smacking into a car bonnet first before hitting the ground, the group didn't have long to lie there and recuperate. Time was of the essence and so ignoring their increasingly aching muscles they scrambled up onto their feet. Eleanor began frantically looking around to see if any more widows were in the nearby vicinity, not even noticing how Yelena had pulled out a gun on a civilian. One who had gotten out of the car they had landed on to see if they were alright.

She soon turned though when she heard Natasha giving her sister a lecture, "You can't just steal a guy's car".

"So you want me to chase him down and un-steal it?", the blonde replied whilst climbing over from the driver's seat to the passengers. Eleanor let out a small chuckle in response as she stepped towards the car, prompting her wife to look at her with raised brows. Eleanor simply put her hands up in surrender before opening the back door, groaning and mumbling about being in the back again.

She hopped into the middle seat to get a good view of everything around them, "Hey, Yelena-", she tried but was stopped by Natasha reversing into the car behind them, making Eleanor grunt as she gripped the seats in front of her. She grimaced as the tires screeched on the floor, the car not moving in the slighted. "Okay, any time now please!", Yelena voiced the thoughts of herself and the back passenger.

"Shut up!". After a couple of seconds of fumbling, Natasha managed to get the car to go forward just as the sunroof was shot at by yet another widow who had snuck up on them, most likely from the bridge judging by the trajectory. Everyone in the car was jostled as they hit the sides of other vehicles before straightening out.

"What were you saying, Hughes?", Yelena turned her head to look at Eleanor in her peripheral. It took a few seconds to remember what she was going to say, but when she did she leaned further forward in her seat, her head in between the front seats. "Oh yeah, how come I'm in the back again? Doesn't seem very fair considering how I was stuck on the back of that death trap a couple of minutes ago".

Yelena shrugged, "Because I am better than you", she stated simply, making Eleanor scoff as her jaw went agape. "In what universe are you-".

"I swear to God if you two bicker one more time I'll stop this car right here right now", Nat interjected with a tight jaw as she continued swerving in and out of traffic on the wrong side of the road for a second time.

"Honey I think we'd die if you did that", Eleanor placed her attention back on her wife who briefly took one hand off of the wheel to push Eleanor's face back with her hand with a small laugh before snapping her hand back on the wheel, conscious of not killing pretty much her entire family.

The car whipped in and out of traffic as both Yelena and Eleanor kept eyeing up the motorbike that was now behind them causing Natasha to take a sharp right back into the city to try and get them off of their trail.

"Holy shit!", Eleanor yelled as bullets sprayed the rear window, right next to her head. She ducked down and put her hands on the back of her head for a semblance of protection as the glass exploded and shot all over the car.

Nat tried to swerve away but the woman on the bike kept shooting at the side of the car. Eleanor didn't dare lift her head with the bullets still flying considering that there was no longer a barrier between her head and the outside world. So, she kept her forehead pressed to her knees with her hands on her head whilst the bullets hit the rear doors.

As though reading Eleanor's mind Yelena turned to her sister, "Okay, you got a plan or should me and helmet-hands back there just stay, duck, and cover?".

"My plan was to drive us away!", Natasha shouted back clearly exasperated with the situation, but her plan made Eleanor frown into her knees, there was no way they were gonna be able to get out of the city in a 4x4 unnoticed.

"That's a shit plan", Yelena turned to look past Eleanor who grunted in agreement before her body was flung into the side door thanks to the lack of seatbelts. Yelena had grabbed onto the steering wheel and twisted the car so that it was in reverse, before opening her door to hit a pole. The door flew off and went hurtling down the street into the biker, not that Eleanor took much notice of Yelena's actions as she was busy nursing her head that had smacked into the plastic armrest on the door.

"Ow-", she was cut off by the car screeching to turn back to face the front again, forcing her to slide back into the middle. "A bit of warning next time?", she sighed and rubbed the side of her head.

"You're fiiiine", Yelena turned to face her as Eleanor removed her hand from the side of her head, the blonde gulped when she saw the shiny red bruise that was already coming through, "You're fine", she nodded and faced the front just as Natasha took what felt like the hundredth harsh corner. Though this time Eleanor was prepared and grabbed onto the front seats.

"You good back there?", Nat shouted back to a very dishevelled Eleanor who at that moment in time was just trying to figure out what planet she was on. "Oh yeah I'm so good", she nodded with a fake smile, but that smile soon dropped as they heard the crashing of cars behind them. Before the trio could even look at what was behind them, one of the rolling cars crashed into the back of them, lurching the car forward slightly.

"Oh shit, he's back", Yelena turned to face the back, and Eleanor slowly turned around to see what Yelena looked scared about. The tank.

The tank was smashing through all of the cars on the road in front of it, but what scared Eleanor the most was when the armoured attacker from the bridge in Norway slowly ascended from the top of it and stared down at them as the large vehicle swiftly gained speed on them.

They didn't stare down at the car for long, however, before pulling out a bow and arrow, one that resembled Clint's greatly. Eleanor's eyes widened as she realised that that arrow would be no regular arrow, "Uh guys...", she turned to face the front again as Natasha was starting to put her seatbelt on, clearly, she had seen it too through the mirror.

"Put your seatbelts on", she spoke with authority, not that Eleanor needed to be told twice, that action was already one that she was about to take. She wasted no time in clasping her seatbelt, though when she tugged it, it got stuck. The annoying safety feature. She began to tug it a couple more times as Yelena complained but complied, mumbling "You're such a mom", similar to how Eleanor did all those years ago on the way to Clint's farm for Christmas.

Eleanor kept tugging and tugging but it didn't seem to budge. When she let go of the seatbelt to 'reset it' and try again, Nat's eyes widened, "El!", she warned whilst keeping her eye on the mirror, watching the attacker take the shot.

"I know I know", Eleanor clasped the seatbelt again and brought it across her body, yelling in victory when she clicked it into place. The very second that she did the explosive arrow that was fired at them sent the car into a backflip manoeuvre as it landed on the tank before barrelling down the street and into the subway below, not before crashing side to side constantly on the walls.

The car landed upside down in the subway, allowing the seatbelt to dig painfully into her shoulder, making her curse about how she had been blown up twice within the space of two days. But there wasn't a moment to lose as the person in the tank would soon be after them.

Eleanor immediately unclipped her seatbelt and landed harshly on the roof of the car, but she quickly rolled out and ended up on the driver's side. Natasha groaned in pain as she reached for her own seatbelt to undo it, and also landed with a thump. Eleanor gave her a quick visual once over as Nat shuffled to get out and held out her hand to help her out.

Her wife gave her hand a squeeze in appreciation as they ignored their body pains to move around to Yelena's side of the car, who was still laying on the roof of the car. Nat made quick work to get Yelena out, but the blonde didn't want to. "Natasha, no, I'm bleeding", she grunted out as Nat still continued to help her out of the car along with help from Eleanor.

Once out of the car Yelena immediately tried to wrap some cloth around her arm to stop the flow of blood, but now it was Natasha's turn to tell her sister no. "No, not now, trust me", she looked back and forth between Yelena and the top of the stairs before dragging her up onto her feet. Natasha was right, they weren't safe now.

"Let's go", Eleanor nodded to them and took the lead with Nat and Yelena a few paces behind her, all of them, weaving in and out of the crowd of worried people who had just watched them have a crash that should have killed them. After a few seconds of running, they reached a large set of escalators that were full of people. Eleanor stopped momentarily at the smooth, red barrier between the two sets and let out a breathy sigh.

"You have got to be kidding me".

She felt the presence of her wife behind her who had caught up, so she shook her head and made the plunge. Taking hold of Natasha's free hand, she tugged her forward and jumped on the barrier, the other two following suit. The three clung onto each other as though they were on a waterslide, with Eleanor clinging on to Nat's legs that had wrapped themselves around her body, and Nat doing the same to Yelena's.

The familiar feeling of Eleanor's stomach dropping returned as they slid speedily down to the bottom floor, the air whipping in their faces in the process. As they neared the bottom quarter, a whistling sound could be heard that made Eleanor tilt her head slightly, but soon enough they reached the bottom and rolled painfully onto the floor just as the attacker's vibrainum shield whizzed past their heads and lodged itself into the column in front of them.

Still on the floor, Eleanor looked up as her jaw dropped slightly, she had forgotten about the shield. She was brought back into reality though when Nat gripped a hand under her armpit and hoisted her up, keeping a firm grip on her bicep as they ran forward.

Though when Natasha suddenly stopped whilst Eleanor still surged forward, it felt like the older woman had given her whiplash. "Boost me up", she turned to her wife with a desperate look on her face. Eleanor had no clue what the plan was here, but she knew better than to question that look whilst out on the field, so immediately followed the orders.

She cupped her hands and allowed Nat to place her foot in it before lifting up, scrunching her face up when Nat's knee painfully collided with her cheek, though Eleanor stayed still even during this. "Sorry, love", Nat quickly placed a hand on top of her head and soothingly rubbed it for a split second as her other hand fumbled with a vent above.

When she found the latch she reached both hands up and moved the grate before hoisting herself up. Yelena looked unsurely at Eleanor who nodded at her to follow Nat up. She knew that Yelena didn't trust her yet, but they couldn't afford to dawdle. "It's okay, I promise", she smiled reassuringly and again nodded at Yelena.

"Come on", Nat's voice was more hurried as she reached an arm out of the grate, aware of the fact that if Yelena hesitated any longer then both her sister and wife would be beaten to a pulp in a short few seconds. The blonde sighed but walked forward and allowed herself to be lifted up by Eleanor, and then helped up by Natasha.

When it was just Eleanor left she looked up with a blank face, "Shit". Natasha desperately reached down, panic written across her features as half of her body was practically hanging out of the vent to reach her wife who was on her tiptoes with her arm painfully outstretched. Their fingers just brushed but not enough for Natasha to be able to grip.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck", Nat kept mumbling as she tried to lean forward more, but if it weren't for Yelena she would have tumbled out. Time was running out, and Eleanor was very aware of the fact, so she walked away to get a run and jump. Though she had forgotten to tell Natasha, who was now whisper shouting for Eleanor to "Get your fucking ass here right now".

But when she saw Eleanor turn and start sprinting she immediately caught on and reached down as hard as she could. As Eleanor sprinted she tried her best to calculate what position would be best for her to make the jump, but it ended up with her just winging it. She jumped as though her life depended on it, which it kind of did, and she managed to firmly grip Natasha's hand who immediately worked on pulling both her and her wife up. Once she could reach the flooring of the vents, Eleanor let go of Nat to pull herself up, with her wife grabbing onto the back of her jacket to help drag her up.

As soon as all of Eleanor's limbs were safely tucked away in the vents, Yelena slowly and quietly put the grate back, just as the attacker waltzed through, and hopped through a vent on the floor.

Eleanor let out a breathless sigh of relief as she saw Nat analysing her for any major injuries, but when she came up with nothing she immediately brought the younger woman into her arms and squeezed tightly, "You have got to stop scaring me like that, my heart can't take too many in one day", she breathed out.

Eleanor laughed slightly with an apology as she hugged back with all of her might.
