《The Younger Agent - Natasha Romanoff x OC》Chapter 49 - Horror Movie Faces

After staring at The Winter Soldier for a few seconds, Eleanor was about to yank Natasha further backwards to get more coverage from the car, but luckily Steve showed up and began fighting him, removing them from the spotlight. It sounded like a nasty fight, but at this moment in time Eleanor didn't care, her main focus was Natasha, though she did flinch whenever a loud bang or gunshot could be heard.
"Can I look?", she asked softly. Even after being together for five years, Eleanor still asked for consent to see every one of Natasha's new wounds when helping patch her up, something that Nat greatly appreciated.
Nat nodded and removed her hand, hissing as the air hit the exposed wound. "It's not hit anything major, okay?", she confirmed with Nat to try and ease her worries ever so slightly, another thing that Eleanor always did when helping Natasha with injuries. When she narrated what was happening and what she was doing, she found that Nat was a lot calmer throughout the whole ordeal, as she felt as though she wasn't completely out of control.
"I'm gonna try and patch it up as best as I can, it's gonna be crap though".
"Okay", Natasha whispered, once again breaking Eleanor's heart. She ripped the arm of her hoodie off and wrapped it around Natasha's shoulder, tying it off under her armpit before she pressed her hand against it. At any other time, Natasha probably would have made an inappropriate comment like "Hot", at seeing Eleanor manage to rip her sleeve off, but she was in too much pain.
Nat winced at the pressure but was glad that there was a makeshift bandage on her. Eleanor removed the hoodie from herself now that it was useless and re-positioned her hand. She frowned when she saw that Natasha had begun to pale from pain and blood loss, but there was nothing that she could do.
Nat rested her forehead on Eleanor's shoulder as she tried to hold back sounds of pain. "I got you. It'll be okay", Eleanor reassured her again.
"Another bye-bye bikini scar", Nat quietly joked. Eleanor chuckled, it was a good sign if she was still able to joke around.
The moment was interrupted though when Steve sounded as though he was struggling, Eleanor popped her head around the side of the car and saw that he no longer had his shield, and was currently in a one-sided knife fight, Steve being the one without the knife. "Shit".
"Help him", Nat looked up.
Eleanor hesitated but knew that Steve needed help, and Natasha's condition was stable for now. "Okay, but stay here, if you move one muscle I won't be happy", she added with a small smile at the end. When she received a small nod from Nat, she kissed her forehead and ran out into the fight. It pained her to leave Natasha, but the fight needed to end soon so that Nat could get help.
Eleanor ran out as The Winter Soldier was pushing him back towards a van, he was sending strike after strike, all Steve could do was block, and it was clear that he couldn't find an opening to launch his own attack.
As Eleanor stalked towards the pair, not wanting to alert the soldier of her presence, Steve managed to land a punch, and then a kick, sending him flying into a car, knife now on the floor.
The victory was short-lived, the next time Steve went in for an attack the soldier managed to push him back again before grabbing him by the throat and throwing him to the floor over the hood of a car.

Eleanor pulled out her gun to shoot, the movement triggered him to face her, what she didn't know was that Natasha had moved slightly to get a view of what was going on, and was now watching terrified at the attention being off of Steve.
Eleanor's shots landed on her target, but they were all blocked by his metal arm, making her let out a groan of frustration. When he began walking toward her, she didn't falter, she couldn't let him get near Natasha.
Just as she was about to move forward to counter whatever he was planning, Steve landed a punch on the back of his head, immediately placing the attention back onto himself. Unfortunately, this meant that he was harshly shoved into the side of the van. When the soldier pulled another knife out and started his assault on Steve with it, Eleanor sprinted forward and grabbed his flesh arm with the knife in, and twisted it painfully.
She smirked slightly when he groaned out in pain, but that quickly fell when he pulled out yet another knife with his metal arm. Her eyes widened, and before she had time to react, he slashed the knife at her. And it made the hit.
The knife was quickly dragged up from her cheek diagonally across the bridge of her nose and up past her eyebrow, narrowly avoiding her eye. She hissed in pain as she let go of him and instinctively lifted her hands up to her face. Using the opportunity, he kicked her chest. Due to his raw strength, she went flying to the floor, landing multiple metres away from her previous position.
Nat let out a small whimper as she watched what just happened helplessly, and saw the blood slowly trickling down her girlfriend's face whilst she was on the floor gasping for air. She had to intervene, the two were going to get themselves killed.
Whilst the knife attack on Steve continued, Natasha desperately looked around as she tried to ignore the pain radiating from her shoulder, she was getting weaker and weaker with every second.
Eleanor looked up when Steve had launched the soldier over his shoulder, sending his mask flying off. He froze when looking at the unmasked man, which initially confused her. But when she focused hard enough on the man, she recognised him from photos at the museum in the Captain America exhibit. He was one of Steve's friends, but that had to be impossible.
She slowly got the strength to stand and started hobbling towards Steve, not that she would be able to do any damage with the state that she was in.
When Steve's friend aimed his gun at them, Sam flew in with his suit and knocked him out of the way, making Eleanor let out a small smile. Sam was okay, she had felt guilty about leaving him on that bridge, but it seemed that he had done a decent job at keeping himself alive.
Just as the man aimed his gun at Steve again, an explosive flew dangerously close past Steve's head and hit the truck next to where he was standing. Eleanor whipped her head around in a panic, worried about who had gotten their hands on that gun.
When she saw that Natasha was leaning against the back of a car, gun in hand, she was relieved that it was her who had it, but she also immediately panicked again because Nat looked in no fit state to stand.
She quickly turned around to see if the soldier was still there, but it looked as though he had escaped. Eleanor let out a disappointed sigh before rushing over to Nat and taking the gun out of her hands before gently laying it on the floor, not wanting to blow the two of them up. "Hey, are you okay?", Eleanor frantically searched her eyes but was just met with ones of pity, "What?".

The corner of Nat's lips dropped as she took in the extent of the cut on Eleanor's face, and it didn't take long to figure out that that was what Nat was looking at. "Is it that bad?", Eleanor whispered as she yet again began to panic.
Nat's eyes widened as she shook her head, realising that her reaction was not the best one that she could have given, "No! No, it will look fine", she lied, it was clearly going to leave a nasty scar, "Are you in pain?".
"A bit but you were shot, I'm more concerned about you babe", Eleanor looked at her incredulously. Nat pressed her forehead against Eleanor's, a way of saying that she was not fine. She felt her heart drop to her stomach at Nat's actions, they needed to get help, now.
But before she could let Sam and Steve know, they heard sirens. "Crap", Eleanor whispered as she turned and saw SHIELD cars heading their way, along with prison vans. They'd been caught.
The chase was up. Agents immediately ran up to them, guns raised at their faces. They made an attempt to put Natasha in cuffs before they did Eleanor. Nat complied, but then they started to take the makeshift bandage off, Eleanor wasn't even sure if it was working, but there was a chance that it was. "Get off of her, don't touch that, she's been shot, do you have brain cells?!", she advanced on the man arresting Nat.
Natasha looked at her with pleading eyes, her mouth slightly agape whilst she was trying to keep her breathing level.
The pain that Eleanor had been feeling from her deep cut had disappeared now that there had been a major adrenaline spike from wanting to keep Natasha safe.
As Eleanor took another step forward she was met with a lot of angry shouting as Agents moved towards her, she stopped after seeing the masses of guns.
One of them moved forward and kicked the back of her knee to get her to be kneeling on the ground as he placed the barrel of the gun directly on the back of her head. "Stop", Nat quietly pleaded to the Agent, but it didn't come off as intimidating as she wanted, she had no energy now, so they completely ignored her.
She couldn't do anything, they started dragging her to the prison van, along with Sam and Steve, all three of them looking behind anxiously at her.
They harshly grabbed Eleanor's hands and placed the thick metal cuffs on her as with the others had, and got dragged up by the back of her shirt, and then practically got tossed into the back of the van and got her ankles cuffed with the chains connected to the van walls.
She had been placed to the left of Natasha, with Sam in front of her. Directly to her left were two guards who were holding sticks that would be able to painfully electrocute you. Their faces were covered by helmets which unnerved her as she couldn't get a read on them, whether they'd be the type of people to just try to intimidate or if they would actually harm them if it came to it.
It was silent for a few minutes, the only sounds heard were heavy breaths as the four tried to regain their normal breathing patterns. Every time they turned a corner, Eleanor could see Nat's face contort into one of pain, it was hard for other people to notice it, but she would be able to notice with her eyes closed.
Eleanor felt helpless, but she would be damned if she was going to sit and do nothing but watch her girlfriend bleed out in the back of a van from a very treatable gunshot wound. So, she started looking around for exits, in a subtle way so that the guards didn't decide to make her live through a world of pain with those sticks.
Every now and then she would catch Sam looking at her, clearly concerned with how her face would be perfect for a horror movie poster, but when she made eye contact he quickly looked away. It made her feel incredibly awkward and self-conscious, but she wasn't going to call him out on it, it wasn't worth it.
Steve ended the silence by speaking in a very glum manner, clearly feeling upset that his old friend was the assassin that was on the loose. "It was him. He looked right at me like he didn't even know me".
In any other situation, Eleanor would have felt sympathy for the guy, but she was too preoccupied with the items on top of her priority list, and what she would have hoped was briefly on top of his too. Stopping Natasha from bleeding out, stopping her face from becoming an infected mess, and getting out of this prison van. Though she did understand that it was something valid for him to be upset about, she just couldn't think of anything else other than Natasha's wound.
"How is that even possible? It was like seventy years ago", Sam responded.
"Zola, Bucky's whole unit was captured in '43". Eleanor briefly tuned in at hearing his name as she recognised it from the museum. "Zola experimented on him. Whatever he did helped Bucky survive the fall. They must have found him and...".
"None of that's your fault, Steve", Natasha quietly chimed in, her condition increasingly worsening. She was very visibly on the brink of collapsing.
"Even when I had nothing I had Bucky".
Eleanor had completely tuned out of the dialogue now, her sole focus was on Natasha as she felt anger bubble up inside of her that no one was helping.
Sam seemed to be thinking the same as he looked at the blood pouring from the wound, so he turned to the guards, "We need to get a doctor here. If we don't put pressure on that wound, she's gonna bleed out here in the truck".
When he was ignored Eleanor jumped in, deciding to use a tad more aggression, something that she had been doing increasingly often in recent times.
"If you don't get us medical help now I will shove that stick so far up your arse that you'll be able to taste it!".
She jumped back though when the guard lifted the stick to be right in front of her face and activated it, maybe aggression wasn't the best plan she thought as she gulped. Everyone was suddenly very on edge, ready to pounce on the guard if they touched Eleanor.
But then the guard twizzled it in their hand and electrocuted the guard next to them with it, before kicking them in the face. Everyone went wide-eyed in confusion.
They started removing their helmet and it revealed... Maria? "Ah. That thing was squeezing my brain. What were you saying, kid?", she smirked, earning a small smile of relief from Eleanor, she had never been so happy to see Maria in her life.
She then turned to Sam and blankly looked at him before turning back to Eleanor and Natasha, "Who's this guy?".
Eleanor couldn't help but let out a small laugh at how weird this all was, even Natasha let out a small but pained smile at hearing her laugh.
Maria then began unlocking their hand and ankle cuffs, and everyone moved their arms around a bit to get rid of the ache. Eleanor immediately pressed her hand up against Nat's wound, trying to stop any more blood loss. She groaned in pain but Eleanor didn't have a choice in whether or not she could relieve the pain. "I'm sorry, but you're gonna be okay now, alright?".
Natasha simply nodded before leaning into Eleanor slightly, for the stability as she was struggling to keep herself upright, but also just for comfort. She tuned out and could only hear the muffled voices of the four others as they started discussing the escape plan.

A (Not So) Simple Fetch Quest
Oh great hero! The evil Demon Lord has once again arisen to terrorise our lands, and we have summoned you to save our people! No, we don't want you to fight the demon lord! Of course not; we're the good guys! What sort of good guys kidnap people from other worlds and force them to take part in wars that have nothing to do with them? That would just be plain evil! We'd be no better than the demons! Katie, after her summoning by an excessively loud mage suddenly takes an unexpected twist, is sent off on a simple fetch quest, with a promise that she'll be back home in five minutes at most. She doesn't even need to leave the building. Alas, when a goddess' blessing causes her wish for an actual adventure to be taken rather more literally than she expected, she finds herself lost in a dark cave, far away from the sword she was supposed to acquire and far too close to a population of giant bugs. Still, at least she wished her life wasn't in any danger. Among other things. Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it. This is a dark litRPG adventure, both in terms of Katie accidentally wishing all the lights out, and also in that she loses as often as she wins, often with horrific and disturbing consequences. Luckily, Katie isn’t the sort of person to let a mere grizzly death or two get her down, and is prepared to try, try and try again to get her hands on the holy sword and finally complete her ‘simple’ fetch quest. Or perhaps—with a few resistance skills under her nightie—she might even come to enjoy losing. Not that she’d ever consider forgoing revenge, even if she did. I’ve ticked all the content warning checkboxes for this one. There’s no explicit sexual content, but there are enough references to justify the warning. Profanity happens rarely, but Katie isn’t averse to swearing when she gets particularly angry. As for gore/trauma, it doesn’t get much worse than the first few chapters, but there will be occasional chapters that have extra content warnings.

Leslie's Poems
This is a continuous collection of poems that I've written in chronological order, starting with the oldest and ending with the newest. This will be updated periodically and may have mass updates. More often than not, each poem either will be written in free verse or with zero adherence to traditional poem structure. Some poems may imply situations and actions that can be triggering or annoying, especially the earlier poems. I recommend skipping most of the ones from 2018-2019, or just not reading this at all if you feel it may hurt you. Please enjoy and read at your own discretion.

Unable to leave the new settlers to their fate, Patrick and his team take on the roles that are pushed onto them, some with enthusiasm, some with reluctance, all striving to build a better world than the one they left behind.
