"no, I haven't been 'out of it'" I scoffed "so tony was lying?" she raised an eye brow sarcastically "he was exaggerating" I shrugged "really" she looked at me "yeah" I mumbled "so can we just drop it?" I asked quietly "yeah, sure" she half smiled
we were called on a mission, another hydra base. the whole team was needed. we entered the building and split up. I took down agents with ease as a walked down a hall. "I found it" I spoke through coms. I walked into a room that resembled a boiler room. "ok, y/n wait for us then we all get out and blow it to high hell" tony responded "i can do it, make sue the whole team is out. I can blow it up" I said sternly into the coms "no, we can't take that risk" Steve groaned "I can create a force field, I have done it once before I can do it now" I whispered taking a few more agents down. "are you sure?" Nat asked "yes" I groaned after getting punched in the stomach "ok, go ahead" tony said reluctantly. I focused my power into making a shield around myself, after that, I pushed fire at all the tank things "boom" I whispered to myself as the room exploded around me, after a moment the shield flickered "shit, nononono" I muttered focusing on my power, but the shield gave out. I ran through the room and down the hall as the flames chased me. I tried to push them away or hold them back but it did nothing. I was almost the the exit when an agent jumped on me "what the hell?!?" I yelled throwing him into the wall. I ran out the door and went to the jet "y/n?" tony groaned "I did it! I did it!" I yelled jumping up and down and gasping for air after a moment "are you ok?" he asked walking over "yeah" I gasped leaning on him for support, my nose was bleeding and I was so tiered I thought I would collapse right then and there "you sure" he smirked "yeah" Nat walked over and hugged me, she had a small cut on her forehead but other than that she looked fine "are you ok?" I asked concerned "yes, are you?" she looked deep into my eyes "yeah" a smile ghosted my lips. "is everyone ok?" I turned looking everyone over, they looked mostly fine "we will be ok l/n" Steve smiled "speak for yourself" Clint scoffed. he limped over and showed me a very deep cut on the side of his left leg, I kneeled down and put a hand over it gently, I closed my eyes and focused. it glowed a little and I brought my hand away. I felt a stinging pain on my leg and winced "y/n?" Nat put a hand on my shoulder "I'm ok" I stood up. we got home and me and Nat flopped onto the bed "its good to be home" I sighed
