《A Stranger's Touch》This Is Real

"Wow." I gasped, staring at my reflection in the mirror.
I was wearing a sparkly gorgeous shining long dress. The dress was heavily beaded, had one shoulder with a sexy side slit. I looked every inch of a princess.
The girls helped me with my hair, styling it in a messy updo to accentuate my long neck.
"You look so beautiful." Jamie gushed.
"Just like an angel." Kay smiled, her hands resting on my shoulders.
Apparently, the annual party Shawn's family threw each year was holding and Shawn invited us all. Instead of informing me before shopping for dresses, Kay and Jamie decided to get me all dressed up, thinking that would change my mind.
Well it sort of worked!
"I hate you girls for doing this to me." I rolled my eyes.
"But I still love you both."
It warms my heart so much, seeing my friends care for me and go all out to make me happy.
"I wouldn't trade you two for shit." I chuckled.
"Even for Mrs. Kim's homemade cookies?"
"That's a tough one." I laughed.
"You betrayer." Kay whined.
Later, Shawn came to pick us up. We got to the party by 9:30PM, sort of late actually. According to Shawn, we were fashionably late.
Kay was dressed in a stunning tulle halter neckline floorlength mermaid evening dress while Jamie was in a charming sequin sparkly shining long deep v neck dress. They both looked really gorgeous.
Looking back now, the first time we met Jamie was at Royal hotel's annual party- this same party. Who knew we would become great friends?
How time flies..
"I wonder if he will be attending too." I muttered silently while making my way to the hall.
"Were you saying something just now?" Kay asked in curiosity.
"No." I lied.
As we settled down in our seats, I couldn't help but remember some memories.
In this same hall, I had danced with Dante.
In this same hall, I did feel sparks fly between us.
And now that I think of it, I had fallen in love with Dante Moretti from the very first night I saw him at the bar in Wild Cats.
How could I lose my one true love?
Two hands came up from behind and covered my eyes. For a second, I thought it could be him but I also knew it wasn't.

My body knew his touch. My body knew to respond to his touch and this person wasn't him. That, I was more than sure of.
"Uhm.. you can tell me who you are now." I drew out slowly.
"You broke my heart again, Ria Lee." A familiar voice answered.
Slowly, I removed his hands and looked up to see who it was. I couldn't help the grin that formed on my lips.
"Oh my God, Ash!"
I got up from my seat, flying into his arms. He hugged me tightly, placing a kiss in my hair.
"You must really miss me." He chuckled.
"Oh, you bet I do." I laughed, slapping him on the chest playfully.
Ashton has always remained a real one, a good friend. I knew he liked me but then, I wanted someone else. We can't choose who we love after all.
But I got to admit, I did miss him.
"Man, I can't believe you are back." Shawn whistled, earning a playful punch on the thigh from Ashton.
"Me too." Ashton sighed.
"I'm just really glad to be with you all again."
His eyes landed on Jamie who had been quiet the whole time. It was then I realised they haven't been introduced yet.
"Jamie, this is our good friend Ashton."
"Ash, this is Jamie."
His eyes wouldn't leave hers and I saw Jamie blush.
Wow! Sparks really do know when to fly..
"Nice meeting you beautiful." Ash said, reaching for her hand.
"May I?"
She nodded, a small smile forming on the corner of her lips. He took her hand in his, planting a kiss on the back of her hand.
Holy shit!
I looked up to see Kay and Shawn on the dancefloor among the crowd.
That's my cue to disappear.
"Uhm.. I think I need a drink, be right back."
Before leaving the hall, I watched Ashton lead Jamie to the dance floor and it made me smile.
Who would have thought, huh?
I always knew Royal Hotel was huge and beautiful. But when my eyes landed on the scenery before me, I thought it was breathtaking.
The soft outdoor lights that lit up the garden, the fountain at the center, the walkway lights- it was beyond beautiful.
"Wow." I gasped, my legs moving on its own to the garden.

The view was breathtaking, aesthetically pleasing. The night breeze made me feel cold but still I didn't want to let go of the view yet.
As much as I wanted the view to last, the cold wasn't on the same page with me. Sadly, I turned around to leave.
"Leaving so soon?"
It felt like a dream, even when he was standing right in front of me in all his god-like beauty. He was there, wearing a two piece navy blue tuxedo. He looked dashing.
Is this even real?
"Dante."
He removed his jacket and covered my body. His fingers grazed my skin in the process and suddenly, I felt a familiar rush.
"No, I'm fine." I said, feeling uneasy.
I removed his jacket, returning it to him.
"Thank you."
I tried walking away from him but he grabbed my wrist.
"Ria."
All he did was pronounce my name but it did things to me, things I couldn't explain.
"No." I shouted, getting out of his reach and walking away.
He ran after me, pulling me back to me.
"I don't want your fiancee to start getting some ideas about us." I said, raising my head in defiance.
"Just let me go."
"Fiancee?" He raised an eyebrow.
Realisation must have hit him because he let go of my hand.
"Oh." Was all he said.
"I'll excuse myself now." I said, turning around to leave.
"No, wait." He grabbed my wrist one more time and I couldn't hold back anymore.
"Just please, stop this Dante. Stop." I shouted.
"Stop what?" He replied.
"This madness." I drew out, touching my chest to ease the pain I suddenly felt.
"You are with someone else now. Why are you doing this?"
"Doing what?" He said.
"Are you being serious right now? Stop confusing me." I fired back at him.
"You said it yourself, you are getting married so please let me be-"
I couldn't complete my sentence because he pulled me in and his lips came crashing down on mine. I fought at first and my senses told me to keep doing so. Eventually, I gave up and relaxed in his arms, his kisses warming my inside.
I returned each kiss with one of mine, stronger, fiercer, not holding back. God, I missed this. Even when I knew it was wrong, my mouth still parted for him, giving his tongue the entrance it sought. His tongue carresed the inside of my mouth, a battle of tongues but his won. I submitted to his domination, his grip on my waist getting tighter. I was melting completely.
"Dante." I moaned.
"What, baby?" He had said against my lips.
"This.. this is wrong." I sighed into his mouth, shaking my head as I felt my body betray my words.
He kissed me again, slowly this time. One hand holding on to my waist, the other on the back of my neck. He placed wet kisses there, his actions earning a moan that flew past my lips.
God, this is so wrong.
His kisses went further, biting down on my collarbone, his other hand digging into my ribcage. I moaned.
"I'm not getting married to Lilly. It was all fake, business only." His deep voice laced with desire had said.
"What?" My body stilled, my hands pushing his chest slightly so I could level up with his eyes.
"Although, if the woman I deeply love, the woman I'm insanely in love with decide to be with me, then yes, I'm getting married." He said, a slow smile falling on his lips.
I was completely lost on my feet, watching him get on one knee, taking my hand in his. His other hand went to his pocket and brought out a ring case.
"Oh my God." I gasped.
"Ria, the love of my fucking life. Will you do this crazily extremely handsome man, the honour of being his wife forever?"
My hand flew to my mouth, tears suddenly welling up in my eyes.
"When I'm old and I no longer have teeth, my hair now grey and my legs start failing, you are the one person I want to be there by my side. The one person I want to hold me and comfort me. You make me whole Ria, you complete me. Please, marry me."
Oh God, this is real.
This is not a dream, is it?
