"See you tomorrow Ashley" I said and walked out. I never thought life would come a whole circle and I would meet this girl again. I never understood what it was about her that bothered me so much but she was on my mind for a really long time until I decided I was being silly. Now after years, I met her again and she still has something that is bothering me.

I was walking to the exit when I saw Mr. Vince talking to an attractive woman. I decided to say goodbye to Mr. Vince and hello to Ms. Attractive before leaving.

"Mr. Vince, this is Jennifer Sandler she works with us and she'll be working with you as well" Mr. Walker introduced me as soon as I walked upto him. I smiled at her and she returned the smile graciously. It is a sad thing that she's married though.

Mr. Waller talked me into seeing the contract and have an idea for tomorrow before leaving. I texted my commitment I won't be able to make it and followed Jennifer and Mr. Walker.

Jennifer briefed me on the people I'll be working with, the basic requirements for the job and indirectly how to deal with Ashley. She didn't say much but I figured she's feared and respected around the office. She's one hell of a boss.

"You know the basics, everything else will be discussed tomorrow morning. See you tomorrow, Mr. Vince" she held out her hand and I took it.

"Thank you for today. Also, you can call me David. I'm too young to be Mr. Vince."

"I understand that, kid. I've told her hundred times to call me George, she disagrees. David, you should call me George. Jenny you can too." Mr. Walker said from the behind.

"I appreciate that but my boss doesn't like unprofessional and I respect her too much to do anything against her wishes."

I sat down on the nearest desk and smirked as she talked about Ashley. I could tell they've more than just work relationship.

"You scared of your scary boss? I mean sometimes you gotta color outside the lines. Do it, it's fun" I smiled but she raised her eyebrows and stood still looking at someone behind me. Knowing George was standing next to me it could only be one person. I got off the desk and turned around to see Ashley standing with her poker face. She looks pissed, or mad, or something along those lines but still it is so alluring. I smiled at her but she ignored it.

"You were leaving?" She asked.

"I decided to stay a little bit longer. Get the feel of the place."

"You had commitments" she said. It wasn't a question so I just shrugged not bothering to answer. I stared at her, she had something about her that makes me hard to look away. She stared at me too but looked away after few seconds. She's the kind of girl who looks away if you stare longer into her eyes as if someone will somehow look into her soul and figure out what she's hiding.

"David why don't you join us tonight for dinner? It would be pleasure to have you home." George said sensing the awkwardness.

"I would love to" I said and turned to Ashley who glared at me "But, do you think your daughter would like that?"

"Yeah. Dad, let's not make it a thing. Keep the relationship professional."

"Ash, sweetie, it is not a thing. It is a simple dinner invitation. Professional people eat too."

"But Dad, look-"

"Ashley, please.." George trailed and gave Ashley a look which made her sigh in defeat.

"David, I hope to see you tonight then." George said and I nodded. Ashley was pissed. "How do you plan on coming, though? I mean I would've drive you but I've got some work on the way."

"Ms. Walker can drive me. I mean, she is going to be there, isn't she?"

"I'm not driving you" Ashley said before George could say anything.

"Honey, you're coming to the same place. It would help save the gas."

"I'll promise I'll be professional or whatever you want." I said before she could refuse. She glared at me but I smirked. It seems to irritate her alot.

"Fine." She pointed her finger at me "You keep your mouth shut throughout"

I made the gesture of crossing my heart.

"Uh." She groaned "I'll take you with me."
