A few autobots around froze
Bumblebee's optics widened a bit before he softened and mentally chuckled but his face plates darkened a bit watching y/n stand up to the other soldier, he himself was in uniform for the day.
Sam stood nearby as he chuckled nervously at the two
The rookie looked at him in shock "you're a robot lover?"
"I love 'em now get lost ya bloody dog!" Y/n snapped watching the man walk off
Sam started to laugh when Bumblebee got flustered
Y/n had his thick aussie accent while he yelled at the other soldier.
"Ay papi~" Bumblebee was playful as he fanned himself, his fans kicked on.
"You dont need to be disrespected! You shouldnt take that from those buggers, ya?" Y/n looked up at bumblebee
Bumblebee let a chuckle through his radio, he obviously didnt hear him.
Sam grabbed y/n's arm "hey, y/n? Remember what we talked about?"
"I dont mean to be a bugger myself but bee dont deserve that!" Y/n exclaimed "i stuck up for my mate!"
"Y-yeah well... what about the other thing?"
"Callin em bugger? Oh, translation, they're a dickface" he glanced at the other soldiers but Sam chuckled and shook his head "no.. the OTHER thing."
Y/n cocked his head before he remembered but then chuckled nervously "oi, sorry, Bee! I meant friend! It's a habit, m sorry!" He looked up at the large yellow and black autobot

Sam nodded a bit before being called away to Lennox. Y/n looked at Bumblebee "To be fair it's just a habit, we call each other mates all day long back where I'm from" He laughed a bit but Bumblebee nodded in understanding. He used his web to search his slang.
"The term- mate- is intimate lovers- in our language" he managed to clip together
Y/n sighed a bit "yeah, i guess i can understand it's not acceptable to you. But you are my best ma- friend.. best friend. Autobot friend anyway." He smiled
Bumblebee nodded and gave him a fist bump before wandering off to find Sam.
Y/n sighed, "In my mind you're my mate." He mumbled watching him.
