About a week later Ironhide couldn't stand it and had to see y/n again so he called her and asked her to go to the coffee shop with him as she gladly accepted, Ironhide sat there with y/n across him.

"I've been wondering how long you'd stay away." She smiled

"Too late?" he asked

"No, actually." she chuckled before sipping her coffeee

Ironhide smiled a little before nodding "So, have you heard any news from your doctors?"

She smiled a little and nodded "They said it'll be a 85% chance I will accept my new eyes but then there's the 15% I won't.. I'm a little nervous to be honest." she sighed

"Even if you can't see, I'd still love you." He said reaching over and grasping her hand

She smiled again "Well.. There's a lot I've never seen, some I'd like to.."

"Like what?" He asked

"You for starters.." She chuckled as he smiled a little "Lennox and.. Just everyone that's cared for me over the last 10 years"

"What else besides people?" He asked

"Just the city.. I've been told it's beautiful."

"Especially at night." He smirked "Maybe I'll take you out to see it.."

She nodded "that would be nice.."

At some point over the last month someone slipped up and told Lennox about Ironhide and y/n. He didn't seem too concerned until he found out Ironhide was sneaking out at night. He knew it wouldn't end well. The relationship would effect his work sooner or later and that was a disaster waiting to happen.

He sat there at breakfast looking at Ironhide as he talked to Optimus.

"Lennox." Epps called as he sat next to him

"Hey." He greeted before looking at Ironhide

"Look.. You know about them 2 now but that doesn't mean you should make any rash decisions. They look great together."

He sat there silently as Epps looked at him "I gotta know what you're thinkin, cap."

"I'm thinking... This is a bad idea."

"He makes her happy.. Isn't that all you care about? 'Hide hasn't caused us any problems."

"He's been sneaking out, Epps. That's a problem to me.. I got my ass chewed by Mearing about the Autobots being unaccounted for numerous times, we don't have any idea where they go and that's a problem when we can't find them." Lennox explained

"Come on, Lennox.. Are you really gonna do this to her?"

He sighed "I don't have a choice.. Ironhide's making a mistake."

"He's not gonna like this.."

"He'll get over it alright but we can't let them continue with all the risks. She will become a target to the 'cons, if something happened to her because of her involvement with the Autobots.. I wouldn't forgive myself." He said before getting up and making a phone call to y/n.

She answered on the first few rings and after he said what he needed to, she continued to refuse until she hung up. Something she's never done to Lennox.

A few days later Ironhide had still continued to sneak out so Lennox took Bumblebee out that night when Ironhide left to find out what was going on.

He drove out to y/n's house as she came out, he had his holoform help her up into his truck form before disappearing and driving off.

They followed them to a diner as they had sat down and started talking. It went on for about an hour and a half before they got up and left. Y/n interlocked their fingers as they walked down the sidewalk continuing to talk before sitting at a park near-by as Lennox watched how they acted, she smiled and laughed as Ironhide had a small smirk, a content expression.

"They look happy." Bumblebee said through his radio as Lennox frowned

She leaned against him, her face digging into his shoulder as she laughed as Ironhide continued to speak, glancing off with a small smile.

As he watched, his heart started to ache. He wanted y/n to be so happy, Ironhide seemed to be just what she needed.. But she couldn't have him. He was a giant alien robot from outer space fighting a war.

"Should we crash the party?" Bumblebee asked

Lennox sighed but shook his head "No... Let's just go back to base."

Ironhide crouched down to Epps when said human needed to speak with him. He told Ironhide about Lennox knowing, how he planned to make her break up with him but he complained of chest pain, obviously his heart physically ached at the thought of taking Ironhide away from her.

Ironhide wasn't too surprised Lennox couldn't pull such a deed off, he was so caring.

But he had a warning to Ironhide. No more sneaking around or he'd tell Optimus what was really going on.

Though Ironhide never lied to the Prime he never tells him where he goes, he just says 'out' or 'take a drive' not where or with who.

The threat put him in place. But he still left to be with y/n, just not in a sneaky fashion.

He went out that night and sat in an old alley with his holoform out and y/n sitting infront of him while he sat in the driver's seat, his hands gently outlining her curves as they gently kissed, she had her arms wrapped around his neck, gently messing with the ends of his hair. He shifted and moved them to the back seat as he sat there with her in his lap, she placed her hands on his chest as he laid back, she leaned down letting her hands slide down till she felt the end fabric of his shirt and slid her hands under, sliding his shirt up as she slid her warm hands over his abs, he laid there contently, letting her feel him up as she leaned down and started making a trail of kisses up his abs as he purred with delight

He didn't realize it before but then he felt it as she felt him 'up' her hands had slid back down, gently tracing his V-line and slid his pants down some when he felt something warm feeling the general area he looked up and smirked "Oh ho, no way..." He grabbed her hands and pulled them out "Naughty little girl... You're gonna get me in trouble." He murmured close to her ear before gently nipping at it as she giggled, blush had appeared across her cheeks

"Why would you get in trouble? I'm the one doing it.." She smirked a little

"Because Lennox wouldn't like it, that's why.." He said trading positions as she laid there, he dipped down gently kissing along her neck "and you know better.." He murmured

"You sure it's Lennox your worried about, or is it me? Fear of being judged by your size?" She teased

"Oh don't get me started..." He purred "I'll make you cry to the heavens, I can assure you that.. Size is not what I'm concerned of. It's of Lennox finding out about these stands in the back of my truck. He's already followed us before, you know." He said brushing her cheek as she sighed placing her hand on his own

"Yeah." She said

"But once you turn 18 there's nothing Lennox can do.."

"He could fire you." She frowned

Ironhide smirked "Oh trust me, he won't.. My place in the military is secure for life."

She gave a disbelieving hum but nodded.

Ironhide took notice of her odd behavior "What's wrong?"

She laid there for a few moments, eyes staring off into a dead stare before sighing "Just this procedure... I'm supposed to get it done next week. But I'm so scared somethings gonna go wrong." She said as tears started running down her face

"It won't.." He said interlocking their fingers "I'll make sure of it, me, Lennox and your parents will be there.. You just gotta trust us. Once it's done, I promise if it's a success , you'll get to see some great things.. If not.. That's just fine. I'd still love you.. And I hope you do the same."

She smiled a little and nodded as Ironhide gently wiped the tears from her face

Y/n laid there on the bed as Ironhide's hand slipped from her own

"We'll talk later.. You'll be fine." He said

That was yesterday when she heard his voice... She laid there in bed as she heard faint voices down the hall and foot steps outside the door walking to and from, doctors walking around as she was waiting for her doctor to get back. She finally heard the door open "She's in here, the doctor will be in soon." Said a nurse.

"Y/n, we're here." said her mother as a hand came up to her own, gently grasping it

"Mom, dad..." She murmured, grasping the hand

"We're here for you." Her dad said

She sighed taking a deep breath when the door opened and she heard the doctor

"Miss l/n." The doctor said "Well, the test results came back positive, there shouldn't be anything wrong. So I'll begin to remove your wrap." He said as he walked over as a nurse helped unravel the wrap from her eyes as she laid there, light started to come in as she winced but blinked

"It's... Blurry."

"Completely normal." The doctor said as he flipped on a flashlight lightly shining it in her eyes as her pupils got bigger, absorbing the light that was being taken in as he removed the light and turned it off as she slightly blinked a few times

"It may take a few moments to adjust. What can you see right now?"

"I see... Four- no. Five figures."

"Very good, what else? What color is the wall?"

"Grey...?" She slightly squinted

"Close, it's white." The doctor chuckled "just close your eyes for a few minutes, I'll be back to check on you, until then I'm gonna take your parents, they need to sign some things.."

y/n slightly nodded and closed her eyes as the doors opened and shut. She laid there for a few minutes before opening her eyes as she stared up at the white ceiling and looked over to see the door open and in walked the doctor, nurse and 3 other people

"How are you feeling now? Blurry?" He asked

"No.." She said looking at the 2 older couple, analyzing their faces

"Y/n, this is your mother and father." The doctor smiled gesturing to the older man and woman

Tears were running down her mother's face as her father looked happy, content even.

But then she looked over to see a dark brown haired man with an army suit on and the tag 'Lennox' on his chest. Her eyes widen a little as she finally seen the man that rescued her. He had a fatherly figure with soft hazel eyes as he smiled

"Hello, y/n.."

She knew that voice as she smiled "Lennox.."

He chuckled and nodded "It's good to be seen."

She couldn't stop smiling as she ran out of the clinic and was instantly hit with all sorts of different sights, she finally put images to sounds.

Though she was a little disappointed Ironhide wasn't there. Her parents took her home as she took in visuals of the house before going to her room and opening the door to see a tall man standing there, she paused and blinked as he held a picture frame looking over it as she looked over him, his black tank top with camo pants and tan combat boots. He didn't even notice her until the floor below her creaked as he looked up and smiled a little setting the picture frame down as he walked over as scooped her up, before pressing his lips against hers a few moments as he lightly twirled around with her

"I'm sorry."

The voice sent a chill up her back as recognized the voice to Ironhide as she stared at him and smiled

"Wow.." She grinned looking up at him "what are you sorry for?"

"I wasn't there when you got the bandages removed, I told you I would." He said gently brushing her cheek

She smiled "I don't care.. You're here now. That's all that matters to me." She said staring up into his bright blue eyes

He wrapped his arms around her as he sat on the bed and sighed softly "I'm gonna show you a lot... The city is huge." He said

She smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck and nodded

"Which is why we should get started."

"But the doctor said I should take it easy the first few days, get used to my usual surroundings, not go out."

"Who said we were leaving?" Ironhide smirked a little as she slightly tilted her head, he grasped her, laying back and pulling her up with him as she chuckled

"There's enough I can show you here." He said cupping her cheek and leaning in for a sweet kiss.
