The femme cybertronian named y/n glanced around as her blue optics scanned around, looked for Optimus. Lennox said he went on patrol, and that was well over 2 hours ago. She knew she was going to regret this but she had to do it all because of a bet she made with Bumblebee and Sideswipe, she could beat them at a race, she was so close to winning but Bumblebee pulled a stunt that put him in first place, she thought it was unfair but then Sideswipe stated the obvious, and overlooked problem, an important part of a race. They didn't form any rules before they started, it was foul play and they knew it but they were gearing up for a big stunt after they learned she had a crush on Optimus.

-flashback-

"we decided that you have to kiss Optimus."

"What?! How will I even get him to get that close to me?? In case you haven't noticed I'm not that tall!" she frowned, folding her arms

"Pretend to be hurt or something." Ironhide threw out as he overheard the conversation

"Yeah, make him get down to your size, anything." Sideswipe shrugged lightly rolling back

She softly groaned "Can I do Anything else??"

"No, you gotta do it" Bumblebee's radio spoke as he pointed

She stomped off with a soft growl to find Optimus

-end flashback-

She softly sighed as she looked around the hangar, to see Ironhide, Sideswipe, Ratchet and Bumblebee gathered around as Bumblebee looked over and pointed at her as she frowned a little before shrugging, he pointed again a little more vigorous as she turned and looked outside to see Optimus standing there, have a conversation with a few soldiers

She looked back with a pleading look as Bumblebee shook his head before making a 'shoo' gesture as the others looked over as she lightly bounced on her heels a moment looking back at Optimus before slowly going over as he wasn't paying attention, she stood there looking at him a few moments

"She's gonna screw it up."

"she just needs a push." Ironhide grunted as he glanced around before picking up a barrel as he chucked it at her feet, missing but it caught her offguard as she went to step back but stepped on the barrel as it rolled forward she softly yelped before slamming back with a groan, the boys winced painfully as she laid there a moment holding her helm

But when Optimus turned his attention towards her she scrambled up and ran back into the base

"What the slag was that?!" Ironhide shouted as she ignored him, running over to Lennox and a group of soldiers as protection

"Hey, Lennox." she murmured, rubbing her aching helm

"Hey," he chuckled looking up at her "nice fall."

She softly groaned, rubbing her helm awkwardly now "You saw that, huh?"

"I think everyone did." he smiled "What happened?"

"I have no idea, I was gonna talk to Optimus but I stepped back and fell over the barrel." she frowned a little

"That looked like a hell of a fall, are you alright?" another soldier asked

She chuckled a little "Nothing a little buff wont help."

They laughed a little and nodded as Ironhide walked over and wrapped an arm over her shoulder, pulling her away

"whoa! Ironhide? What the heck??" she frowned

"Get back out there.. You're on a time limit, if you don't kiss optimus they got something much worse in mind." he said giving the femme a shove towards the exit as she seen Optimus still conversating with the soldiers as the barrel remained untouched, she slightly kicked it away as Optimus looked back

"Hello," he said "Are you alright?"

"y- yeah... Well.. Um, no.." she said covering an optic with a slight rub "I think the fall might of damaged my optic.." she lied

He slightly tilted his helm before leaning down and grasping her chin making her look up as he observed her optics, energon rushed to her face plates

She leaned up and kissed his lip plates a few moments as she pulled away and ran "I'M SO SORRY!" she cried as she ran and jumped over the guards before transforming and driving away as the tires screeched and echoed through the evening air

Optimus blinked a moment as he looked over at the confused guards

"what the hell was that??" he heard one shout

But he heard laughter as he looked in the base to see his team, Ironhide, Sideswipe, Ratchet laughing as Bumblebee's radio whistled in the midst of the cheering

Optimus frowned a little as the laughter and cheers stopped, he knew something was wrong. And whatever caused her to do that, they had something to do with it.

After an hour of interrogation, Sideswipe coughed it up. He told Optimus everything about the race and bet and even that she had a crush on him.

He waited as everyone went to recharge/sleep as the sun had set and the moon came up, only a few soldiers remained awake but were quiet.

Optimus waited for y/n to return.

Around 10pm he heard an engine purr as it drove in and gears whirred and clicked as she transformed, stretching out before glancing around but didn't see Optimus as he stepped over

"Y/n."

She lightly jumped "Oh! Optimus... You scared me." she sighed glancing around to take notice no one else was around

He smiled a little as she looked up at him

"what?" she asked as energon flowed to her face plates

He looked at her calmly before stepped forward as she stepped back until she hit the wall, he crouched down grasping her chin

"O-Optimus?" she looked up into his optics

He smiled softly as his digit gently brushed her face plates feeling the heat "Sideswipe told me something of interest.. Is it true?"

The color deepened as she stared at him, as his content smile rested on his face plates

"I-I like you...Optimus.." she murmured

"As do I... I love you, y/n." he said

Her optics widen as he seen the surprise and tilted his helm "You seem surprised."

She couldn't find the words to express the surprise and softly squeaked. She looked away out of embarrassment of the noise.

"I find it cute when you can't find words, when you first arrived it wasnt as apparent when you couldn't speak with me without stuttering or losing words, I thought you were simply surprised a prime was still alive." He said as he gently pressed his helm into hers

"I was.. and I couldn't believe at how handsome he was.. I couldn't find the courage to speak to him. it wasn't out of disrespect when i wouldn't come to your call.. it's just.."

"You were nervous."

"That i'd screw up in front of you? Of course.. i think you come off a little more intimidating as you intend to be, Optimus." She gently cocked a brow

"It's right where I want it to be." He said before pecking her lips. "Goodnight, y/n.."

She watched him walk away "night, optimus."

"And that's it?!" Sideswipe cried

"No!! There's gotta be more!" Bumblebee shouted in defiance

"Sorry, guys that was it.." y/n chuckled

"Why do I get feel that you're lying.." Ratchet said folding his arms

She smirked with a shrug "maybe.. maybe not. Guess you'll never know."

"Y/n." Optimus walked over

"Hey, optimus."

"It's our turn for patrol." He said

"Later, boys. Duty calls." She waved before trotting off after optimus as they transformed and drove out of base

"She was totally lying.. there HAD to of been more."

"She was.. did you not notice how calm she was when Optimus came over? They're intimate." Ironhide said

"How do you know based off that??" Sideswipe frowned

"I just do.." Ironhide smirked as he watched them leave, with them both little knowing that Ironhide had heard everything given he was awake and patrolling base that night only to come back and find the 2 doing some serious stuff. He decided to keep to himself as he walked away from the group. He definitely has blackmail need he ever have to use it on y/n or even Optimus.
