"Shockwave... what does this even do?" Y/n asked as Shockwave continued to hook her and Soundwave up to a suspicious looking device

"Rest assured, y/n I've done many tests most have turned out well, this is a prototype but Megatron wishes me to use live test subjects and to not reveal what it does." Shockwave explained

She frowned at him "wow, that's very reassuring."

"Y/n, all will go well." Megatron said as he walked in

They all looked up at him "lord megatron, You're just in time."

She folded her arms and softly scowled, not appreciating the lack of information.

"Let the process begin." Shockwave said and with a throw of a switch..

The two cybertronians found themselves getting zapped as they cried out in agony before collapsing

"Ohh.. My helm.. Is it over?" Y/n asked "I feel weird.." She onlined her optics and looked over but they widen when she looked at herself who looks equally surprised "AH!" She jerked back but looked down at her servos "no way! I'm in Soundwave's body?!"

"It worked." Shockwave said happily "Although.. We fried a few circuits in the process."

"Change us back!" Y/n said as she attempted to stand but fell back "Ugh.." She grasped her head

"I'm afraid I cannot do that, I must refigure the device and replace the circuitry."

"We're stuck like this? How long?" Y/n asked

"Not long, a few days, perhaps.. Until then I suggest you try not to stray too far from each other."

"What would happen if we do?" Soundwave asked as y/n stared at herself through his optics before looking back

"Nothing, it's just easier to find you both if you're together." He stated

Y/n sighed as she looked at herself "Well, looks like we'll be spending some time together, Soundwave."

He nodded "This will be... Interesting."

The two walked off down the hall "yeah?" Y/n looked over

"It is weird, to see myself." He said

"Hey, no one knows we switched bodies.."

"And?" He looked over

She chuckled "Maybe we could have some fun with this.."

"I'm listening.."

The two ran about causing Choas together, they pretended to play each other's roles until the decepticons got whiff of what was happening. But whenever they were around each other, y/n got a tingly feeling inside Soundwave's body, energon would rush to certain places of his body. Especially his face. But she didn't know if it was normal or if he had something to contend to when he got back to his own body.

She grown fond of hanging out with Soundwave

"Sound- er, y/n.." Starscream walked over to her

She looked over at him "what?"

"Eject Ravage. We have a mission for him."

"Um.. Let me find Soundwave.. I don't want to mess him up." She trotted off to find herself as she found Soundwave outside and walked over "Soundwave, Starscream needs Ravage. Should I let him?"

He looked up at her but nodded "yes."

"Ok.. Er.. Ravage, eject. Mission, help Starscream..?" She pressed the button on his shoulder but nothing happened "Uh.. Er- Um.."

A smile appeared on her own face as Soundwave got closer and held the button down "Ravage, eject. Mission: assist Starscream."

Nothing happened again as she slightly panicked "oh no.."

"Do not panic. It will not help you."

She commed him "Starscream, how important is it that Ravage assist you?" Y/n asked

"Very! Where is he?"

"Technical difficulties.. He's be out soon, I hope."

They continued to have issues as she sighed "This has proved to be a bit more troublesome than I thought."

Soundwave nodded "I assume Shockwave is near finished, it has been a few days."

"Right! Maybe we can go visit him." She trotted off with Soundwave in tow as they went to Shockwave's lab "Shockwave!"

"Is it done?" Soundwave asked

"Not quite, a few more hours should be good." Shockwave said as he tinkered with the little gadget.

"That's not soon enough."

"What's the problem?" He asked

"I can't eject Ravage and Starscream needs him for a mission."

"Hm, you're in quite a predicament." He said looking over his body "Let me take a look, his systems may be jammed."

As uncomfortable as getting picked and prodded by Shockwave was, he did help to release Ravage as she sat up from the berth after he finally ejected

"mission: go assist Starscream."

Ravage trotted out to find him as she sighed

The two once again left the lab to allow Shockwave back to his work

"No offense Soundwave but my body is looking better and better each time I look at it, I miss being in my own body."

"I do as well."

They walked around for awhile in silence before she spoke up again "I didn't want to worry you but the feeling is back, so I'll just tell you. Ever since we switched bodies yours has been all .. fuzzy inside."

She felt the energon rush to her face plates and blinked.

"I believe we may have switched bodies but our feelings are still being felt in our own."

She stared at him, and for the first time the fuzzy feelings made sense.

"You knew.. You knew what the device did so you volunteered yourself and then me." She said "you like me, don't you?"

Her own optics casted to the side, then energon ran to his interface cable as she felt embarrassed "Wait, no no no.. Not now!"

The sensation died as she sighed "I think we have some discussing when we get to our own bodies.." Her servo placed on her own shoulder as he looked at her

"I think we do.." He reached up and kissed her mouth plate as she stared at herself in shock

"Y/n, Soundwave, report to my lab." Shockwave came through their coms as they looked at each other.

They were ready to return to their own bodies.
