《Taken》Chapter 37: (Part 2 - Adam's P.O.V.)

As soon as I left the tree house, I made sure the stairs were back in place and non visible by anybody. I then shifted into my wolf and raced back toward the pack house. I needed to build a house for both me and my mate so we were not surrounded by everyone. Sure, the tree house was good, for now, but it couldn't last forever. Besides, I missed my mate already and I really needed to hurry back so I could hold her again. It pained me to leave her side but it had to be done.

I reached the pack house in record time and shifted out of my golden wolf to my human form. I quickly grabbed some clothes stashed in a hiding place and shrugged them on. I let my thoughts go into a different direction so I could hurry back to my mate.

I sprinted toward the house growling but did not go in. Instead, I sped around to the side and pushed away rocks and sticks, along with a couple boxes that looked like they belong there to reveal a trap door. It looked kind of medieval, stone doors with rings for handles, but this meant it was also hard to open, even for a werewolf, especially for one down there. This is why there were also many guards around even though they were hidden from sight. They were there to help with the doors and let people out who are down below so we did not struggle so much.

Thanks to my mother being half witch and I inheriting that also, it was much less of a struggle for me compared to many wolves. Add this to the fact alpha blood was running through my veins it was not hard. It was still a struggle, but not as much as regular wolves would have.

I honestly did not use my magic all that much, I was not a fan of it. I stuck more with my werewolf side though there are times when I do need the magic. I usually use my signature golden dust to put whatever spell I need into that and sprinkle it wherever it needs to go to make it work. I would rather not though and work for more things myself.

I bent down and grabbed a hold of a handle. Using my strength, I heaved open the door. Without a thought, I descended into the cold, dark, dank cellar beneath, closing the door behind me.

The door slide back into place, scraping against stone. Once this was done, I turned and descended the steps, using my night vision to see the way. It was almost pitch black in the musty cellar, but there was enough light I could use to see everything I needed.

My feet scuffled across the stone steps, making little scraping noises as I passed over them. Some tiny pebbles clunk down the stairs when I accidentally kicked them, making more noise. Soon, I reached the bottom, much more light emitted from a torch on the wall. Down here really was medieval in just about every way. There was no electricity and we did not use flash lights or lanterns. Besides, fire illuminated the place better than flashlights did because it reached many corners instead of pointing it at just one place. It brightened the place up much easier.

I used the torch to light another one before setting it back in it's rightful place to keep the place from going dark. I then used my new lighted torch to walk down the passageway. I would pass torches, spreed out just far enough apart so nothing goes to dark but just enough to stay light down the tunnel.

I passed many cages but I descended lower and lower still, going down another flight of stairs and to the very end to the very last cage here.

This last level was made especially for vampires. The bars are made out of pure silver. A little bit of my magic had made it so it only hurt the vamps and not the wolves because the silver weakened us too. There were also many other factors that contributed to making the vampires suffer in their cage.

I soon reached where I wanted to go, passing a few guards as I did so, and hung the torch back up on the wall. I then turned to my prisoner and rolled up my sleeves, looking and acting like what I was about to do did not bother me at all. Which it didn't. This vamp had it coming to him, both what he did to my mate and to the many others before her. He was a horrible vamp that the world did not need, but I was going to make sure he suffered just like every one of his prisoners.

I opened the cell door and walked in, closing it behind me. I then turned to Dominic and asked with an evil gleam in my eye, "so, shall we get started?"
