《Taken》Chapter 28: (Adam's P.O.V.)

As I waited for my mother, my feet wore down the floor as I scuffled back and forth in worry of my mate and agitation of waiting for my mother so I could rescue my mate.

I was going to kill that vamp when I found him! He had not only terrorized and tried to take over my pack but he had also stole my mate and no one who did that was going to live.

My beta sat off to the side silently, watching as I probably put a hole in the poor floor with all my scuffling.

It was if he couldn't take it anymore after watching me for so long he finally had to say, "stop pacing Adam! Your mother will be here soon. Now give the poor floor a break so we don't have to fix it later."

I growled at him but I did as he said, knowing it would be for the best.

At times like these I wish I could do everything my mother did but I only had half a witch's blood running through my veins and the other was werewolf so I wasn't able to do everything a full witch could do. Unlike with my werewolf, my witch blood only made my wolf stronger than most alpha wolves. The only one for sure stronger than me in strength was the alpha king and maybe the beta to the king, but that didn't mean I still couldn't beat them.

Anyways, now I sat down in my seat and my feet continuously tapped on the floor, my body not able to hold still for one moment filled with agitation of my mate not being safe and in my arms.

"Where is she!" I exploded, "she was supposed to be here by now!"

"Calm down," my beta instructed once again, "she'll be here soon."

As if on cue, my mother walked into the room and sat down her bag. "Son, it's so nice to see you again, though I do wish it was on better terms." I opened my mouth to say something but was snapped shut when she continued, "and don't you open your mouth. I know what you're going to say. Now leave it alone or you'll be in a pile of fire ants in no time. Got it?"

"Yes mother," I grumbled. If there was one thing I really hated was my mother's punishments. She was the worst when it came to punishments and anyone who knew about them or had them before feared her when it came to them.

"Good, now let's get started." She took a map out of her bag and laid it on the empty desk he had cleared of earlier for her arrival.

She grabbed other things out of her bag and placed them on the map of the area and off to the side.

First, she poured salt in the location they were at now and lit candles up at each of the four corners. The rest of the things she used he didn't know what they were. After she was finished, she started chanting but took a hold of my hand as a connection to Mia. It was easier to do this spell with the mates than with one of their personal items.

The salt slowly started to move. I stared at it intently, watching to see where it would land.

On the map, it settled not far from just outside my territory line. I growled, they were that close to us! "Mine!" I roared and charged for the door to go save my mate but was stopped by my beta.

"Stop Adam! Think about this. It's not good to go charging into a vampires den, unprepared with no plan. We need to have a plan and some wolves scout the area to find out how many vampires are there!"

I growled at him but knew it was reasonable with what he was saying, "if they hurt her in any way, their ending will be much more terrible than what I already have planned for them." I was now forming and even worse plan, revenge filing my thoughts for the ones who took my mate.

I took deep breaths to calm my shaking body because of the rage I was feeling. After I was able to control both me and my wolf better, I looked at my beta directly and said, "send a few wolves to scout the area. Tell them to find out how many vampires there are and what their den is like. They also know how to disguise themselves so those bloodsuckers can't discover them."

My beta nodded, "yes alpha, anything else?"

"Yes, once they report back to me on everything, we need to start going over battle strategies and of course, I'm going to need my mothers help." I looked at my mom when I said that before glancing back at my beta. "And Dylan, I really do mean it when I say the vamps will who took my mate will have a much worse fate than death."

Oh, and I've got exciting news! I thought of what I want to do with my next story. Something almost completely different than regular werewolf books. I don't want to make is so cliche. I'm making up a new species called and Owat. It's a mix between a werewolf and a werecat. I think it's going to be great. That's all I'll give out for now. Do you think you'll be excited to read it?
