《The way I used to live✔》chapter 4✔

Arjun was ready to do anything to save their mansion, but he was not a fool to walk straight into the trap that Raghunath had laid for him.

Even though he didn't know much about business, he had some basic knowledge about the field.

At the same time, he didn't want Raghunath to portray himself as a saint who was helping Arjun's family.

He was thoroughly disgusted with the behavior exuded by Raghunath. Arjun was a wise person and he knew how to play his cards well.

As Raghunath was so desperate in getting his hands on the majority of the shares of the company, he failed to hide his impatience. So, Arjun wanted to play with his desperation.

He didn't choose either of the options given by Raghunath. Instead, he offered all the board members to buy the shares, but only at the market price.

If nobody would want to buy the shares, then his grandfather was willing to. Upon hearing what Arjun had announced, the smugness on Raghunath's face was wiped off and he visibly paled.

That was what Arjun and his grandfather planned and the shares were their trump card to tame Raghunath's arrogance for the moment.

They knew Raghunath's shrewdness, so instead of falling into his trap, they smoothly laid another trap for him.

Arjun was waiting for Raghunath to take the bait. There were also trusted people on the board who admired his father's character.

Before going to the meeting, Arjun and his grandfather had already contacted them and asked them to help Arjun in the meeting.

For Arjun, those shares meant nothing to him as he had no use of them, but they were the result of his father's hard work. So, he didn't want to lose them at any cost.

If not that particular day, he would one day get hold of his shares. For the moment, he was not accepting his defeat, he was just retreating.

After hearing that Arjun's grandfather was ready to buy the shares, Raghunath tensed. He knew very well about Arjun's grandfather.

His grandfather was a retired military commander who brought our country immense glory. When he used to be on the battlefield, his name was enough to make the enemies pee in their pants.

When his wife became bedridden, he retired from military duty at the age of 50 to spend time with his wife in her last days.

After returning from the army, he started a business that had become a very successful one. At the age of 55, his wife died due to her illness.

From then onwards, he didn't find any meaning in materialistic things. So, he sold his business off and went to his village to spend his life peacefully with his friends and to live in the memories of his late wife.

Arjun and his family used to visit him on vacation, but he never once stepped foot in the city after his wife's death. He came to the city many years later after hearing about his son-in-law's death.

The more we know about someone's capabilities, the more we fear them. The same was the case with Raghunath. He knew about the old man quite well and also aware of what he was capable of.

Ever since Arjun's father had introduced Raghunath to him, he had never failed to show his dislike towards Raghunath at every chance he got.

He was a military man with good instincts. How could he not identify his craftiness? All it took was a mere glance towards the evil man.

So, Raghunath feared the old man like anything. In his opinion, Arjun's grandfather was like a hungry lion waiting for its prey.

Even though Arjun was young, he shouldn't be underestimated, and adding to his grandfather's presence by his side, it was quite hard for Raghunath to deal with Arjun. It was like lifting a stone and dropping it on his own feet.

Raghunath thought that if that old man took control of everything, it would just need him a quick look for him to recognize all the loopholes.

He was not like Mr.Sarath who would turn a blind eye towards all the mistakes because he valued relationships above all.

On the other hand, Arjun's grandfather was like Hitler and with his influence over the government authorities, after finding Raghunath's deeds, he would surely make him beg on the streets and ruin his future.

Raghunath might have been a bit foolish, but he was also a businessman who was well known for his shrewdness.

So, he made a decision which might make him lose a huge amount of money at the moment but, in return, it would give a promising future, or that was what he thought.
