A/n ~ the flashback parts will be like bulletins then the 'present' will be regular and with more dialogue :)
(This is short cause I was tired at the time)
- At ages 6 and 8, Hoseok and Julieta first met in elementary school. Hoseok was 6 while Julieta was 8, the duo were quick to be friends by their similarities. Hoseok was very bright, loud at times, and loved smiling. Julieta was bright as well, a bit more on the quiet side, and giggled when she got super excited.
- The duo never separated, even when it came to times where they would end up in different schools cause of their age. But Julieta always made a promise to Hobi "I'll never leave you.." and he would respond . They ladies to keep that promise especially when middle school was coming up.
- Julieta was now 10 and Hoseok was 8, she was in her last year of elementary school wishing she could stay for Hoseok. Her eyes would sparkle at the smaller boy, she'd kiss his cheeks and keep her promise "I'll never leave you...". The day she would bring in 2 bracelets, the brown one had Hoseok's name and the yellow had hers. She gave Hobi the yellow one so he could remember her when she's in the other school.
- At 12 and 10, Hoseok was excited on his first day of school, he would see his best friend once again. They didn't have phones so the only way they spoke was at school. "I didn't leave you!" Hoseok would cheer as he hugged the young girl who was getting taller Nothing could separate them now.
- Julieta was going through her puberty stages, body was altering and her voice wasn't as high. Hoseok had reached that stage yet but the voice cracks were coming in, he adored hearing Julieta giggles to it. They would eat lunch together and talk about their days, even getting the chance to go on field trips.

- At 15 and 13, Julieta was becoming a lot prettier so now she had boys all over her, poor Hoseok felt like his best friend was getting taken from him. One day it even happened, the happy teen girl told Hoseok how she got into a relationship and couldn't stop smiling. The little sunshine wasn't as happy; of course he's glad his friend is happy... but he would've rather it been him making her smile that big.
- Hoseok would watch his friend with her boyfriend every day now, the older kid (who's 17) didn't like Julieta hanging with a "baby" as he put it. Hoseok was going through his stages, getting taller, more active in dancing, and still had that innocent glow. It had attracted young girls.... but none of them would be like Julieta... he now deemed that he had a crush on his best friend.
- At 18 and 16, Hoseok had the girls crawling! But he didn't care to speak to them, only want Julieta's attention but she kept it on her boyfriend who was in college. She didn't even see him everyday, how was she so sure that he was being loyal to her? Hoseok tried many times to make Julieta realize his crush on her...but she only put him down, saying it was just a small fling.
- Graduation day approached.... the day Hoseok was scared of... his crush would be leaving now. She would giggle and hug the young man who's gotten taller than her now. "Thanks Hobi! Remind me about yours and I'll come to it..." he would nod then lift his arm to show the bracelet she had rubbed on her wrist... but no bracelet was there.
- Hoseok was crushed deeply... at age 18 it was his graduation day.... and Julieta had never came...

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Hoseok!! Happy birthday to you!" The 4 family members and 6 band members clapped for the now 28 year old man.He did his large heart shaped smile at everyone, it had now been 12 years since he seen his last love... you would think he's insane for still remembering her after all these years. He still had love for her and wished he could meet her again... if she possible had a family of her own.
The entire night Hoseok hung with his friends and family, he didn't drink much and barely ate a slice of his cake. He made his way outside to get some fresh air as his friends had gotten louder, they were times where he needed his peace and quiet. Hoseok looked up at the stars He shouted at no one, thankfully the neighbors didn't hear him.
His tears were falling down his cheeks as vented to no one, but he really wanted to vent to Julieta more than anything. He squatted down and cried into his palms, wishing someone would come up and hug him.
Hoseok didn't hear the small feet shuffling towards him, the mystery person spoke up softly "Why is my sunshine crying on his special day?" He instantly looked up to see a more mature looking woman smiling with a gift bag in her hand. she nodded with a saddened look in her eyes "I broke a huge promise years ago... but now I'm back to fix it... can you forgive me Hobi?"
He didn't answer her, just stood up and pulled her into a tight hug that felt so much more warmer. The flow of emotions wasn't foreign between them but it was something new blossoming in their chests.
"Happy birthday Hobi!" She did a large smile once he removed himself, he went into the bag and pulled out 2 new bracelets... brown and yellow. He could feel the emotions bubbling back up, remembering when Julieta first made the bracelets before she... wait! Was she leaving him again?!
He looked at her but she quickly shook her head "Trust me I'm not leaving this time... I left once but I'm not doing it again! We've gotten older so I figured we would need new ones to fit..." she placed the bracelet with her name in his hand. she leaned closer to Hoseok and placed a soft kiss upon his lips "Hobi I'll never leave you...."
He placed the flowers on the grave of his now late wife, he laid on the ground next to the stone with her name. He closed his eyes as he rested beside her...
He no longer needed to wait on his wife... as he joined her in the bright sky....
Julieta may have left back in the days.... but Hoseok was glad he waited for her....

Core Defect
In the 264 years since the Great Singularity Wars, the world has been irrevocably changed. Technologies like nanobots and rogue artificial intelligences have caused the planet's wildlife to evolve in dangerous and powerful ways, pushing humanity to the verge of extinction. However, the remaining survivors are not without ways to fight back. Nanotech can enhance humans just as well as beasts, but perhaps most surprisingly, humanity has found an unexpected ally: a group of human-neutral AIs called Daemons. Val is a 22-year old woman striving to become a User: a nano-empowered human paired with a Daemon that serves as society's final and most powerful line of defense. When a critical issue in her nanosystem's core seemingly leaves her unable to serve as a User, she's given a difficult choice: give up on her dreams or accept a potentially unstable AI, Noir, as her Daemon partner. Val and Noir are stronger together than they are apart, but can they survive long enough to unlock their potential? Can they find a place among the other pairings like them, shunned by society but essential to civilization's survival? If Users are humanity's last line of defense, welcome to the sacrificial first line: the Defects. Updates are currently once a week, aiming for the weekend. Chapters usually 2k-3k in length.
8 207Alpha Squad - Vecto: Vengeance
An obsessed robot, lightning-fast cyborg, armored ex-military commander, sword-wielding teenage thief, sniper/assassin, martial arts master/farmer, and others cross paths in this action-packed story about a sentient robot named Vecto who goes on a vengeful search for a longtime nemesis. But as Vecto's actions turn drastic, will he become a hero or a villain? The story takes inspiration from superhero films, anime, and video games. This is the Bitnovel format version of the book, which is being released in small chunks every day at various times (I'm testing for the best time slot), so be sure to follow so you won't miss it.
8 238The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
