《Why Dont You Love Me?》Chapter 13

Two Months Later
"Meggaaannn! Come out here!" Ryan's voice yelled down the hallway of our hotel. I didnt move. I couldnt move. I was frozen underneath a table. For the past two months, Ryan's been out on a promotion tour with boys and I, being the crazy stalker person I am, just went with them. I giggled under my breath. Ryan and I are also just friends. No more almost kisses or anything like that has happened since we were in the hospital. I havent even heard from Liz or Jake or anyone which was so peaceful. I perched myself perfectly behind a large, wooden table and waited for Ryan to come down the hallway. Us and the whole band have been playing a very violent game of tag. I mean violent. We all have some type of bruise on our arms from A) either being tackled to death, or B) Being punched so hard it left a bruise. I was it this time and my prey was no other than Ryan. I needed to get him back for putting a spider in my suitcase.
"Megan! We're playing tag, now hide and seek! And you're still it!" He called. I heard his footsteps grew closer, and closer until finally, his legs had appeared in my line of sight. I thrusted one leg ahead of me then got down on my hands and knees. I managed to crawl silent, almost ninja like to the other side of the table so I could get behind him. I crawled out from underneath and stood myself up behind him. I walked silently up to him, leaned over his shoulder pressed my lips slightly up to his ear and whispered,
"Now you're it." I giggled. He jumped before realizing it was me and quickly turning around. I backed up before he could slap my arm and laughed.
"Nice try, Ryan!"
"I will get you. You just cheat!" He took a step towards me, trying to slap my arm again. I kept taking steps back and laughing.
"How do I cheat?! It's not my fault I create my own version of hide and seek-tag." I smiled cutely. He laughed then smiled back. We heard a hotel room door open, and a very tired looking Nash stepped out.
"Do you mind?" He asked.
"Nope! Not at all!" Ryan and I said in unison. Nash let out a long, tired groan before whining and throwing a shoe at us. I laughed before bending over and picking the shoe up.
"You really just threw your favorite shoe at me, Nash?" I asked raising my eyebrow. Nash's eyes widened, now suddenly awake. He ran over to me and grabbed the shoe out of my hand.
"I'm sorry baby," He whispered quietly. "I know that mean, mean lady was thinking of doing very violent things to you!" He hugged the shoe closely before turning on his heels and walking away.
"Nash! Be ready in five!" Ryan called out after him. Nash waved it off and went back into his hotel room. I turned back to Ryan and smiled.
"Interview?" He nodded before trying to slap me again. I turned and ran into my room, quickly slamming the door shut and locking it. I heard Ryan pound on the door for a few minutes then whine and what I'm hoping, went back to his room. I giggled a bit before walking over to my bed and sitting down on it. I share a room with Ian's girlfriend, Maggie. She was such a nice person, she really is was. She's beautiful too. Her and Ian need to get married. No lie. I pulled my legs up to my chest and hugged them tightly. Maggie was out for lunch with Ian but she said when she returned, we'd go shopping. I honestly dont even know what state we're in now. Iowa? Florida? I think Ryan said Miami but I stopped listening after we left Los Angeles. I pulled my notebook out and read over the half written song for Ryan. I crinkled my nose a bit. How do I not have this stupid, doggone song finished already? I mean, I change it every day, modifying lyrics, changing the tune, the beat and doing anything in my power to make it better. I closed the notebook back up as I heard the door unlock, and open. I looked around the corner and raised my eyebrows.

"Bye Ian!" Maggie's voice said.
"Bye babe. Love you!" He said before the door closed. Maggie walked over and smiled.
"Hi Megan!"
"Hey Mags." I smiled back. She took a seat next to me before gently nudging my shoulder.
"Sooo.. How are you and Ryannnnnn?"
"Maggie!" I laughed. "Nothing's going to happen between Ryan and I. We're just friends, and that's all we'll ever be."
Maggie's eyebrow raised a bit before pursing her lips into a straight line. She nodded a bit before patting my leg and giggling.
"You say so."
She got back up, putting her purse back onto her shoulder. I got up and grabbed my wallet. She walked out first, leaving me to follow behind her.
"Do you wanna drive, Megan?" She asked. I looked at her half shocked and blinked.
"Drive?" I asked puzzled.
"Yes, drive." Maggie laughed. She handed me the keys to her Corvette. My eyes went as wide as saucers. I started laughing nervously as we walked out of the hotel. I walked up to it, and got in slowly.
"Are you sure you really want me to drive? I mean, I could crash. And my crash, I mean get us killed. And by killed, I mean bye bye Ian and Ryan."
She giggled a bit. "Just drive."
I did as I was told. I drove until we got to a mall outside of town. The mall was big, bigger than any mall I've seen before. I parked the car and slowly got out of it. I fixed my beanie then grabbed my wallet again. I took a deep breath in before walking in with Maggie. It was even bigger on the inside; 3 floors, an arcade, a movie theater, and a huge food court. Maggie and I first headed to the food court. Even though she had just gotten back from lunch with Ian, she could probably hear my stomach growling. I decided on a burger and fries from Burger King and Maggie got a small salad. We sat down at one of the tables.
"So, how's that song coming?"
I looked up at her and tilted my head. "Huh?"
"The song! You know? The one you're writing for Ryan? I heard you singing it last night but i couldnt hear any of the words you were saying. Plus, Ryan wont shut up about it." I giggled a bit before she continued. "It's really cute, you know. Even though you think nothing is going to happen between you and Ryan, we can all see it."
''Oh!" I blushed. "Uhm, it's coming along." I said with a nod. Maggie smiled before nodding. I looked down at the table and slowly started to eat. I had a lot on my mind to be honest. More than any 19 year old should have. I got a text from Aubs a couple days ago. There's one last class I need to finish in order to graduate. Meaning, I needed to go back to school. Meaning, I need to go back to Michigan. Meaning, I needed to see Liz and everyone else again. I sighed quietly before taking the last bite of my hamburger.

"You okay?" I heard Maggie ask.
"Huh? Oh, uhm, yeah. I guess."
She gave me a confused look before nodding. "You sure?"
"No." I said.
"Wanna talk about it?"
"It's just.." I sighed. "It's just I have to go back home, and I honestly dont want to. But I have to finish this one class before school gets out and," I took a deep breath in. "i'm just not ready to go back and see all of those faces, you know? I just want to stay here, on this tour, with Ryan."
"When do you have to leave?"
"Tomorrow.." I sighed heavily. Maggie's eyes widened.
"Do the boys know?"
"Yeah, I told Ryan and I'm sure he told everyone else."
"Well," She said with a nod. "I hope everything goes okay! My phone is always open for you to call. Please dont hesitate if you need anything."
I smiled a bit before nodding. "Thank you." I whispered. She smiled a bit before nodding. She took my hand and pulled me along to different shops. We shopped, and shopped, and shopped for hours. I thought my feet were going to fall off by the time we got back to her car and to the hotel. I walked up to my room, carrying armfuls of bags and looked over at the clock. My flight leaves early in the morning and it was already 9 at night. I decided it was probably a good thing I went to sleep now. I put the bags down next to my suitcase. I laid down on my bed and pulled the covers over my face. I groaned slightly then rubbed my face and closed my eyes, forcing myself to sleep.
~*~
My alarm rang almost too early. I groaned loudly as I reached over to pick my phone up. It was 4 o'clock in the morning. No soul should be up at this time. Luckily, my plane didnt leave until 6:30. I groaned again then turned it off, letting out a sigh of relief. I got up slowly, placing my feet on the floor and pushing myself up off of the bed. I walked into the bathroom, put my face on and got dressed quickly. I grabbed all of my bags and walked out. I looked at my phone to find I had text from Ryan.
Ryan: Hey!(: Meet me downstairs right nowwwwwwwww! We're getting breakfast before you have to leave.(: PS- My car's unlocked, can put your stuff in there!
Me: Okay(:
I shoved my phone into my pocket, and walked over to the elevator. I walked inside and pressed the first floor button and waited until the doors reopened and walked out. I looked around for Ryan but didnt see him anywhere. I walked outside and put my stuff in his car, then walked back inside and looked around once more for Ryan. I pulled my phone back out and opened my messages.
Me: I'm downstairs. Where are you?
Ryan: Look for the signs.(:
Signs? I looked around before noticing a sticky note on a vase and picked it up and saw Ryan's sloppy handwriting.
YOU FOUND THE FIRST SIGN. :D Now look for the next. - Ryan
I quickly found the next stickynote then another. Each having a different note on them.
You're getting warmer:) - Ryan
Almost there! - Ryan
YOU'RE SO CLOSE IT'S GETTING HOT. - Ryan
Okay, you took a wrong turn somewhere and you're now getting colder, turn around and look again. - Ryan
There ya go! Back on course. - Ryan
Find the last one, and you're home. - Ryan
I swear he was leading me on a wild goose chase throughout the entire hotel but I couldnt keep the smiling off of my face. I shoved the notes into my pocket then finally found the hopefully last note.
Hehehe yay! Now look up. - Ryan
I looked up slowly to find a beautiful breakfast sitting on the table with roses, and a card. I smiled even bigger as I walked over to the table, picked up the card and started to read it.
Dear Megan,
The past two and a half months have honestly been the best ever. Honestly. Getting to spend everyday with you. Hearing your laugh, your smile and your sometimes all the time corny jokes always make my day that much better and even brighter. You made me feel like a whole new person. Someone I thought I'd never be again. You've taught me a lot. You've taught me how to smile again, how to love and how to be me. I thank you for that.
I also just want to say that myself, as well as the other boys, will miss you very, very much. But none of them more than I. You're probably scared of going back, huh? Well, it'll be okay, I promise. These nine weeks are going to fly by, and you're going to be okay I know you are. Just know that I will always, always be here for you. And if you need anything, I am a phone call away. I will join you at the table in a second, teehee
Much love,
Ryan

Far Strider
A college student finds himself transported into a strange land with burgeoning magical powers, and is taken in by Ned Stark. Will he sink or swim in this medieval society, and will he ever get home? ====================== OC-insert without knowledge of Game of Thrones, new planeswalker. Slow power ramp. Second crossover: Star Wars (around chapter 39). ======================= As a note, I started this as a speed writing challenge to myself. The challenge was successful, and I managed 100,000+ words (as well as some character sheets in excel and such) over 10.5 days. Then I had to stop and let my hands recover from their burgeoning carpal tunnel syndrome. The story currently stands at around 150,000 words (or ~550 RRL pages) over 54 chapters; expect a chapter a day until I've caught up with the backlog. The focus of this story was not quality writing, and that hasn't changed. I mostly use it as my semi-guilty "I need to write something, but am not focused enough to write something good" story. Expect self-indulgent writing in general, and a bit of OP (or, well, more than just a bit if we're being honest), especially later in the story as the protagonist matures into a more full-blown Planeswalker. But if you're looking for something with a power-ramping protagonist romping around the place, something you'd be a bit embarrassed to admit liking (I know I am) but like anyways (and come on, this is RRL, so that probably describes just about everyone here who actually has shame), then this may be a nice bit of mental junk food for you.

UPDATES TUES/THURS after chapter 5 Cover art by Tumblr User: @pigeon-princess This book features characters that are related to in many ways to my other novel "Grimoire". While both stories are their own stand alone series, Sun God's Corruption will add a good amount of depth to Grimoire, and Grimoire shows the unfoldings of the world that will eventually come from the events in Sun God's Corruption. I reccomend reading them both interchangably.

My Failed Reincarnation as a Demon’s Prisoner
When Kayn opened his eyes in the empty void, he was met with a familiar voice and the knowledge that he was neither dead nor alive and about to be reincarnated. What he didn't expect was to reappear in the world of the living and immediately get captured by a clan of demons, now living as their prisoner. After a lucky encounter, Kayn stumbles upon a room that could possibly give him what he needs to free himself from their captivity. But, as he soon finds out, escaping from the demon queen herself isn't the easiest of tasks... **DISCLAIMER**This story attempts to be quite comedic (I don't know if I'm doing a great job at it) and will be more comedy heavy at the start than later on. As the situations Kayn finds himself in become more grave, the story will become serious and less comedy oriented. There will always be comedy throughout, but at some point I do plan on shifting the focus. I'd love to hear everyones opinion on whether the comedy should be kept in full, or dialed back a little so the plot can take centre stage more often. Happy reading!

Give Light to Dark Thoughts
When the heart bleeds and nothing can heal it, the only thing left to do is write. Thoughts are volatile, sometimes they are cruel and other times are kind, nevertheless both are needed. If the pain didn't exist no one would know what happiness feels like. This book of poems is the moments when just for a second dark is all that it is, so why not share and give it light, hopefully someone will feel identify with at least one poem. Not all the poem will be in a negative connotation, and the images I put will be from Pinterest.
